A day later, Rocky looked gloomily at the Chief Knight who ca to report.
“You an to say, you still haven’t found that dead woman?”
“Y-yes.” The Chief Knight looked ashad, “I’m sorry, Lord Bishop Rocky.”

The more Rocky spoke, the angrier he beca, instinctively wanting to grab the dicine bottle on his right and smash it on this foolish knight’s forehead. But halfway through the motion, he realized sothing was wrong.

But now, he barely managed to keep his life, as the price of the Corpse Blocks was not sothing a priest’s spell could heal. The battle last night easily shaved a decade off his lifespan, if not directly halved it.
Paying such a price would’ve been bearable, but what made him mad was that after paying it, he gained nothing, just barely saved his own life.
Damn it, when had he, the Rhein Bishop, the holder of the Corpse Blocks, ever suffered such humiliation?!
The last ti he felt like this was the first ti he slept with soone for power!
It’s back, the feeling from his youth is back.
Rocky’s teeth were about to shatter, and the Chief Knight could only brace himself and explain, “Lord Bishop, we really don’t have enough manpower to search house by house, and we’ve also enlisted Fenris from the Eternal Nightmare Church, and they too said they couldn’t find her…”

Logically speaking, Fenris and Rocky were equals, he had no need to use honorifics when addressing Rocky.
But seeing Rocky’s current state and the solitary finger left on his right hand, Fenris couldn’t help but use honorifics.
“Moreover, right after the fight ended last night, Edwin imdiately took back that knowledge,” Fenris said. “So we have reason to suspect that Edwin released that knowledge just to bait us, and that woman was the hitman he hired; it was a trap!”
Halfway through the sentence, Fenris spoke with such certainty as if it was a conclusion reached after a night of deep deliberation.
But Rocky obviously wasn’t buying it, he roared, “I already ended up like this, do you think I need you to tell it’s a trap?! Instead of this bullshit, can you give sothing useful, stop just watching!”
“Of course, we’ve always been doing sothing useful,” Fenris said, “But everything should be done cautiously, after an incident like last night, we at least need to figure out what exactly happened, like who exactly is the woman you keep talking about.”
Rocky squinted his eyes slightly.
“Although it was a trap, there aren’t many in this world who could ambush and injure you,” Fenris said, “And you even said it’s a woman, to be honest, when I first heard you say this, I could hardly believe it.”
Rocky looked coldly at Fenris: “Do you think I’m lying to you?”
“Of course not, you surely wouldn’t use sothing like this to make a point,” Fenris shook his head, “I just purely want to know who this person is, and do you know her?”
Rocky didn’t answer imdiately because this question was difficult to address.
Of course, he knew who she was.
“Tongue,” indeed.
But he couldn’t possibly disclose this information, otherwise, even he wouldn’t know how to respond, so after a mont of silence, he whispered, “I only know she uses Holy Sound magic.”
“Holy Sound?” Fenris was quite surprised, “Are you sure?”
“What do you think?”
“Ah, sorry, I didn’t an to question you, it’s just really surprising,” Fenris said, “Because we all know the current state of Holy Sound, those once powerful Players now down to a tenth, and soone who can go against you… the only one I can think of is the Seven-Tone Player currently hunted by the Holy Sound Church.”
Apart from recluse scholarly types like Edwin, the higher-ups of other churches couldn’t possibly be unaware of Holy Sound’s situation.
“It was indeed that guy.” Rocky didn’t deny it at this point, otherwise he couldn’t explain who crippled him, “I intercepted a Seven Music Spell head-on, that’s why I ended up like this.”
Fenris imdiately showed an expression of awe: “A Seven Music Spell? That’s a legendary spell, and you actually managed to take it head-on?”
