Chapter 39: Thirty-three I, am not a bug!_3

Why not speak?

“Stupid, idiot…” Ulu cursed the little boy in a trembling voice, “What an idiot.”

Hearing Ulu’s curses, Bai Wei didn’t speak but quietly watched the little boy, listening to Ulu struggling to justify himself, “Oh no, he’s not stupid, he’s smart. He knows if he admits he saw during the day, these guys would definitely make him reveal my current location. That would bring him even more trouble. So it’s better for him to simply say he hasn’t seen , that way he can…”

Ulu seed unable to continue his own conclusion.

It was at this mont, he finally heard the long-awaited voice.

“What is going on?”

...

It was Kelsay.

This impatient Knight Master had eventually walked from the crossroads to the little boy’s house. He looked at the boy, who was beaten to a pulp, and coldly asked, “What exactly is going on?”

Opportunity had arrived!

Ulu was ecstatic.

He seized this rare chance and cautiously crawled out of the ruins, preparing to escape while the little boy diverted Kelsay’s attention.

Since he feared making noise, Ulu moved lightly, climbing around in the ruins as quietly as a… hideous worm.

“Are you going to run?” Bai Wei asked in a calm voice.

“Of course! If not now, when?” Ulu logically responded to Bai Wei.

“Is that child not a concern?”

Ulu’s body trembled slightly, but he quickly resud normal and continued crawling forward while saying to himself, “What does it have to do with ?”

“He’s going to die.”

“So what?” Ulu gritted his teeth and said, “He will die because he doesn’t know my whereabouts, so Kelsay will kill him. What does that have to do with ? If he knew where I was, it would have been who would die!”

“Really?”

“Otherwise, what could it be…” Just as he was about to crawl out of the ruins, Ulu subconsciously looked back, only to feel as if his heart and lungs would stop.

He saw the little boy, and the little boy also saw him.

All the knights had their backs to him; everyone was standing, so no one saw Ulu crawling in the mud, except for… the little boy who had also been beaten into the mud.

Ulu was sure the little boy had seen him, as those eyes that could see into the distance were the boy’s most distinctive feature.

Thus, Ulu almost anticipated the boy imdiately pointing at him.

That way, the little boy could stand up from the mud, while he would be forever buried in it, which caused his heart and lungs to montarily stop.

But what he didn’t expect was, after looking at him, the little boy said nothing, made no movents, and even retracted his gaze, hugged his head, and buried himself deeper.

Shock, confusion, bewildernt and even more complex emotions surged in Ulu’s heart, causing him to involuntarily open his mouth wide, wanting to say sothing, yet unable to speak.

Ultimately, all of this was overshadowed by a stronger desire to survive, making him imdiately turn his head, and crawl and roll out of the ruins, escaping from that muddy place and sprinting into the night.

Besides escaping, he didn’t want to think about anything, didn’t want to do anything, just escape.

Leave this place, leave forever.

Stay alive, survive by any ans.

Everything else was irrelevant to him.

Now, he just needed to run into the night.

Watching Ulu like this, Bai Wei knew it was ti.

“Are you really just running away?” Bai Wei started languidly.

Ulu didn’t respond.

“Honestly, this decision of yours doesn’t surprise . Do you rember what I told you a few hours ago? Or rather, do you rember what you yourself said?”

Ulu seed as if he hadn’t heard, but Bai Wei could feel his footsteps becoming slightly erratic.

“You said it, didn’t you? You have beco this way because at the mont of life and death, you t Lu Ji, and that little devil t you. You were the sa kind of person, but it’s the different encounters that have shaped you differently.”

“…Shut up!” Ulu’s voice trembled as he countered, “Don’t talk anymore.”

“But my view is different from yours, do you rember what I told you? Different beings will adapt differently in the sa environnt; it’s intrinsic.”

“I told you to shut up, just shut up!”

Now Bai Wei seed as if he hadn’t heard, continuing to speak to himself, “Just like coming out of the mud, so are naturally flowers, like that little devil…”

“Shut up!” Ulu stopped in his tracks, clutching the middle finger of his left hand fiercely, as if trying to pluck Bai Wei out that way.

But Bai Wei was unmoved, and that fingerprint-laden little head even seed to give Ulu a feeling of smiling, which scared Ulu, not because of Bai Wei himself, but…

“Are you afraid of that fact? Afraid of the fact I’m about to state.” Bai Wei lightly chuckled, “But the fact is, so are naturally flowers…”

“Shut up!” Ulu was almost going mad.

Facing an about-to-explode Ulu, Bai Wei’s tone gradually beca colder, saying the words he least wanted to hear.

“Yet so are naturally bugs.”

“Bugs, just bugs.”

Kelsay found it boring.

This bratty kid was stubborn for no reason, but he couldn’t be bothered to take action himself, directly addressing the two servants, “Kill his sister, see if he talks.”

“Yes, Milord!”

The little boy imdiately lifted his head, his eyes wide with terror as he watched the two servants hold down his sister with cruel smiles.

“No, please…” the little boy finally spoke, his words full of pleading, “Please, don’t…”

“Now you know to beg? Too late!” One servant picked up a small knife, “Who told you… huh?”

He suddenly heard a series of hurried footsteps, causing him to instinctively turn his head to see who was running.

Then, his head just flew up.

A rusty iron shovel had chopped through his neck, blood spurting like a fountain.

Everyone froze.

They watched as a man erged from the night, wearing a filthy Priest Robe, yet looking like an Evil Ghost, bathed in blood as he scread at Knight Master Kelsay with all his might.

“I!”

“Am not a bug!”
