Hmph!

It’s all that Gia’s fault!

Gia had arrived earlier, already cleaning the dicine pot in the pharmacy, soaking the herbs in clean water, and adding two slices of ginger. She was preparing to brew it herself.

She hadn’t forgotten a thing about handling dicine.

Rhiannon Xavier held a packet of white powder in her hand and swaggered to the entrance of the pharmacy. As soon as she stepped one foot in, she encountered Gia.

Busy as she was, Gia paused her actions slightly and t Rhiannon’s gaze.

They just looked at each other, both a bit surprised, leaving Rhiannon in a dilemma.

Gia hadn’t expected her guess about Rhiannon’s intentions to be right and was glad she arrived a step earlier.

Her eyes narrowed as she placed the pot on the stove and looked at the door, her gaze falling on the fist in Rhiannon’s hand.

Rhiannon was very cautious, never revealing her hand, standing upright, boldly entering the pharmacy. "Good morning!" Though her words were stiff, she took the initiative to greet Gia.

Gia did not return the greeting. Her face was calm, but her heart was full of caution.

"I just went looking for you, and they said you were here," Rhiannon said casually, "I apologize for what happened last evening."

Her tone unexpectedly softened? Apologize?

Although Gia did not see sincerity in Rhiannon’s eyes.

Gia couldn’t understand what dicine Miss Xavier was selling in her gourd; her arrogance yesterday didn’t match soone likely to apologize.

Gia turned to busy herself in the pharmacy, checking for an electric dicine pot, hoping to brew the dicine on her side, avoiding coming here altogether. So people really are hard to guard against.

Seeing Gia’s indifferent attitude, Rhiannon was sowhat unsettled. After all, she was Miss Xavier; what was Gia compared to her?!

She wanted to lash out and scold Gia, but when she inadvertently glanced aside, she saw her mother walking this way.

Thus, a plan ford in her mind, and she withdrew her gaze, speaking up—

"Gia, I ca all the way here to find you, and you really don’t plan to forgive ?" Her voice wasn’t small, slightly raised, with a touch of grievance.

These words fell right into Mrs. Xavier’s ears as she approached, hearing her daughter say—

"Gia, I ca today to apologize. Are you really going to hold a grudge?"

"Gia, I sincerely want to be friends with you. Why are you so resistant to ?"

These words made Mrs. Xavier’s heart skip a beat; her daughter stood at the door, humbly saying these things to Gia.

But all Gia showed was her back, completely ignoring Rhiannon, who seed to be busy with sothing.

"Oh, Gia!" Feeling her mother’s presence right behind her, the scheming Rhiannon quickly stepped forward, "Don’t be angry anymore. I’ll change if you want, I’ll listen to you!"

"Are you out of your mind?!" Gia turned, about to accuse her of pretending, but then she saw Mrs. Xavier standing at the door.

She hesitated, retracting her gaze back to Rhiannon, suddenly realizing everything! Oh, wow, you’re not just pretending; you’re acting!

Rhiannon pretended to unintentionally turn and ’accidentally’ saw Mrs. Xavier, "Mother? What are you doing here?" then smiled as she walked over, affectionately taking her mother’s arm, "Good morning."

Mrs. Xavier, wearing a purple cheongsam, with light makeup, moved gracefully, warmly stepping into the pharmacy.

"Good morning, Auntie." Gia’s dark eyes offered a smile, though her feelings were mixed.

Every ti Mrs. Xavier saw her, her mood would calm a bit.

But Rhiannon’s earlier words had indeed reached her ears, leaving her wondering what had happened between the two girls.

"Mother, yesterday evening there was a little misunderstanding between and Gia. I didn’t an it, but she just won’t forgive . Could you please help ?" Rhiannon, seeing her mother as a savior, tugged at her arm, acting particularly obedient and sensible.

With her saying this, Gia seed a bit petty, and sowhat unaware of her standing—a guest daring to get upset with Miss Xavier?
