But in Rachel Sherman’s heart, there was no longer any longing for this marriage.

"Let go of ." She struggled, trying to break free, "Let go of ! I said, I won’t look back anymore! We are already divorced! Do you people even understand the law?!"

I’m really fed up! Clinging like a leech!

Just as she was struggling, and Mrs. Shaw was holding onto her tightly, two n appeared out of nowhere and directly pulled Mrs. Shaw away from Rachel Sherman—

"Please show so respect to Miss Sherman." Two piercing cold lights were directed right at Mrs. Shaw’s face!

Feeling an overwhelming chill, Mrs. Shaw was taken aback and stamred, "Wh-who are you?"

"You don’t need to know who we are." One of them spoke, his voice icy, "But if you keep pestering Miss Sherman, we’ll see you behind bars."

Then, the other man looked at Rachel, "Miss Sherman, shall we take you ho?" His tone was full of respect.

Rachel looked at them with a puzzled expression. At this point, Mrs. Shaw also realized sothing was wrong, and, afraid of trouble, she pulled her husband away—

"What’s going on with her? Hired bodyguards now? Is she really with another man?"

"I don’t know." Mr. Shaw’s face was dark, and he walked away quickly, feeling a growing unease inside.

The couple didn’t dare look back.

Rachel looked at the n next to her, "Who are you?"

The two n bowed respectfully to her, with one of them answering, "Mr. Fletcher heard that soone has been bothering you, so he sent us to protect you secretly."

Rachel looked around and didn’t see Chase Fletcher, a small sense of disappointnt flickered deep inside her.

"Then please convey my thanks to him for his kind gesture." Her gaze returned to the two n, not knowing what else to say.

"Do you need us to take you ho?"

"No, thank you." As soon as she finished speaking, she stepped away.

So, even if he doesn’t appear, he’s still aware of my circumstances?

He said he would give her ti to think it over without appearing in front of her to disturb her, but is he secretly watching her?

Rachel couldn’t understand why such an outstanding man would be interested in a divorced woman with a child.

When you’re young, it’s for love, but as adults... don’t people consider benefits more often?

She didn’t dare face it because Chase Fletcher could have a better life.

Three days passed in a blink of an eye, and Saturday ca.

Dylan Shaw, delivering food, had just stepped out of a dumpling shop. When he saw the address and na on the order, he froze for a mont, stopping in his tracks.

Rachel Sherman?

It’s Saturday, and she gave the nanny a day off to stay ho with the child, so she didn’t want to cook and decided to order dumplings.

She had fed June so milk, and the little one had fallen asleep comfortably.

Rachel sat in the living room, watching the delivery information, browsing the news on low volu, and waiting for the dumplings.

If she knew that the delivery person today would be Dylan Shaw, she definitely wouldn’t have ordered the dumplings, because a nightmare was about to unfold.

The order detailed the exact address: which complex, which building, which floor, and which apartnt.

So, when the doorbell rang, Rachel hurried to open the door, "Coming, coming." Not wanting the bell to wake the sleeping child.

As soon as the front door opened, Dylan saw that it was Rachel inside. Before she could react, he pushed his way in.

Startling the hoowner, she instinctively stepped back a few steps—

"You..."

"Rachel." Dylan was holding the dumplings, without the humility and patience he had when begging for reconciliation last ti. He sourly glanced around the room’s decor, a slight smirk on his lips.

Thinking about staying in a small rented house with his parents, he felt a surge of anger, "You’re living a nice life, no wonder you don’t want to remarry."

Rachel found his tone and deanor a bit unsettling. Holding her phone, she tried to secretly dial the police.

But Dylan caught this motion, "What are you doing? I’m delivering food, who are you calling?" His face twisted unpleasantly.

"The delivery has arrived. Please leave now." She watched him warily, her tone sowhat distant.
