Night, Argent, a rental apartnt.

"Son, you need to pay attention when it cos to getting Rachel back!"

"Won are all soft-hearted, especially since you’re June’s father. That’s an unchangeable blood relation!"

Mrs. Shaw looks very experienced, with short wavy hair dyed golden, flipping as she speaks.

Dylan Shaw sinks into the sofa, deep in thought. "She has a boyfriend now."

Mrs. Shaw pauses for a second, and then furiously curses—

"A woman who gets around, no wonder she was so determined to divorce you. Has she been with soone else for a while?"

Mr. Shaw chis in, "No matter what, you need to get her and the child back. Vivian Sawyer can’t have children, so no matter how tangled you two get, that’s a big problem for the future, we won’t have grandchildren."

"Right, when it cos to having grandchildren, we still need Rachel." Mrs. Shaw asserts firmly—

"After all these years together, there are still feelings."

Mr. Shaw continues, "As for cheating, looking around, nine out of ten n have done it, it’s not uncommon."

Mrs. Shaw gets riled up, suddenly turning to look at him, "Shaw, nine out of ten n? Are you one of them, or one of the nine?"

"I, I, I haven’t! Definitely not!"

Dylan Shaw, feeling the headache, gets up and walks towards the bedroom, leaving his parents bickering in the small living room.

Ever since Rachel Sherman left with the child, this house hasn’t felt like a ho.

After the novelty wore off, life returned to reality. He still hasn’t found satisfactory work. Recently, he’s been delivering food during the day, facing his first real hardship in life, truly exhausting, sotis having to climb stairs.

Outside, Mrs. Shaw pulls Mr. Shaw to sit on the sofa, "Old man, when Rachel and Dylan first got married, what did that fortune-telling old man say? He said they were a good match, right? Have a daughter, then a son, by 25, our Dylan would have both son and daughter, right?"

"Yes." Mr. Shaw rembers clearly, that day was sunny. Because of the fortune-teller’s words, he was in such a good mood, he even gave a thousand-dollar tip.

Soon after the wedding, Rachel got pregnant with June.

"Dylan turns 25 next year. I’ve calculated using the Qing Palace chart these past months, if Rachel gets pregnant this month, she’ll surely have a boy!"

Compared to the woman’s urgency, Mr. Shaw is calmly rational, "They’re divorced now, what pregnancy are you talking about?"

"So hurry up and get them together! Pull her back!" Mrs. Shaw is genuinely anxious, "If not pregnant this month, the chances of having a son aren’t great in the future, and Rachel is friends with Mrs. Lancaster. Do you see who’s in charge of The Lancaster Family now?"

This Shaw Family, how could I say, still thinking of currying favor with Faye Turner.

Sigh.

Always felt marriage was just child’s play.

The Shaw parents found out Rachel’s workplace, so every evening, they block her at the door, either giving gifts or showing care.

Today marks the third day Rachel encountered the two elders. She’s genuinely fed up.

"Mr. Shaw, Auntie."

When they approach, Rachel takes a step back, looking at them guardedly and firmly—

"Stop sending things, I threw away all the previous ones, didn’t take a single item ho."

The two elders turn slightly green upon hearing this, exchanging a glance before suppressing their dissatisfaction. Facing Rachel, they still smile—

"Rachel, don’t misunderstand us. We’re just worried about you with all the overti lately. You’ve lost so weight. Taking care of the child alone must be hard, truly concerned for you."

"By the way, Rachel, I heard from Dylan that you’ve hired a housekeeper to look after June. Are you comfortable letting your own child be cared for by soone else?"

"No matter what, we’re the child’s grandparents. We’re willing to take care of the child. Would you reconsider?"

"No consideration." Rachel responds flatly, then turns and leaves.

Mrs. Shaw hurriedly reaches to pull her back, "Rachel! Don’t be so heartless. Dylan knows he’s wrong now, he genuinely regrets it! Give him another chance! For the sake of the child, remarry my son!"
