When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster Chapter 313: President Lancaster’s Helping Hand
Before Faye Turner walked into the store, the custor inside happened to leave, so she did not encounter Mrs. Lancaster.
"Rachel, what’s wrong?" Shannon and Tanya sensed sothing was off and quickly ca out to et her.
At this mont, Faye also ca in.
Though Rachel Sherman was smiling, her eyes were filled with tears as she tightly held her six-month-old daughter, "I didn’t bring my phone, I’ll stay in the store tonight."
Faye Turner ca up to her, listening to her words and observing her expression, "..."
"Faye..." Rachel tried hard to restrain herself, smiling as she raised a hand to tidy her ssy hair.
"No need to stay in the store, co with ." Faye didn’t ask anything, not wanting to embarrass her friend in public. She reached out and took the young child from her friend’s hands.
"Let , let . You’re pregnant!" Rachel was startled and, after regaining her senses, hurriedly tried to take the child back.
"I’ll do it."
At this point, a deep and magnetically appealing male voice entered their ears, and Adrian Lancaster took the child from his wife’s hands.
This surprised everyone present.
Faye linked arms with Rachel, "Shall we go?" Then she waved to Shannon and Tanya and left the dessert shop with her.
At a Lamborghini parked not far away, Faye opened the car door for her.
Rachel, feeling burdened, glanced at her and then fearfully turned to Adrian Lancaster holding the child, finally resting her gaze on Faye, "Faye, I’ve already caused enough trouble for you."
"It’s no trouble. You’re my best friend," Faye told her, "Maybe one day I’ll need your help too?"
"Get in the car." Adrian Lancaster’s voice was gentle, "This child isn’t dressed warmly, and if she catches a draft, she’ll catch a cold."
Rachel finally ca to her senses, stiffly getting into the car, "Give June to , I’ll hold her myself. Faye is pregnant, and young kids like to kick around."
Adrian Lancaster handed the child over, and Faye sat beside her.
Adrian Lancaster drove them back to the mansion.
On the way, Rachel didn’t ntion the outrageous event that happened this afternoon, and Faye didn’t ask, but she already had so guesses.
After returning to the villa, Faye arranged for Rachel to stay in the study and also brought a small jacket for June, which they bought late at night when passing by a maternity store.
"Rest early," Faye told her, "Don’t think about anything. Take care of the child first, Miss Lane will co by later with so food for you. I’m not working tomorrow, so I can keep you company."
"Faye..."
"Don’t say anything." She knew Rachel didn’t want to talk, "It’s okay if you don’t want to share. If you don’t want to talk, then don’t."
After comforting Rachel.
When Faye ca out, she found Adrian Lancaster on the phone, talking to Dustin Shepherd about work matters she couldn’t quite understand.
After he hung up, he turned and asked, "Is there anything else you need help with?"
Faye was very touched, shaking her head with a smile, "Thank you."
"It was no trouble at all." Adrian Lancaster’s voice was gentle, "Get so rest. You don’t have to wait up for ." Then he went into the study.
Faye wasn’t sleepy at all; her mood tonight had been quite turbulent.
So, she returned to her study, opened her computer, and continued designing the unfinished suit.
It was a business suit, very fitted, yet slightly casual. Faye had worked hard on the pattern.
After all, he always wore high-end custom brands like Givenchy and Zegna.
The quality had to be up to standard, and it needed to match his style and aesthetics.
An hour flew by quickly, and Faye’s work efficiency was high, swiftly completing the design with not much need for revisions.
No matter how she looked at it, she was very satisfied with this suit.
It wasn’t tailored to Adrian Lancaster, but she had nailed the asurents precisely because she had held him before.
Thus, Faye was a competent designer.
Once the materials are prepared and it takes so ti to finish the craft, it can be a gift for him.
