When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster Chapter 265: Dr. Aiken Is Utterly Shocked
"What’s wrong?" Faye Turner’s nervousness was evident in response to his serious expression, "Is there a problem with the prescription?"
"No problem at all. Who wrote this?" Dr. Aiken was shocked and deeply curious, his eyes wide open.
Faye Turner didn’t hide anything, she confessed, "I wrote it myself."
Dr. Aiken was even more astonished, he looked at her scrutinizingly, so young!
Faye Turner felt a bit flustered, she just wanted to get the dicine and leave, not wanting to stir up any trouble.
At that mont, Dr. Aiken glanced at the people queued behind her and stood up, saying, "No more consultations today, everyone please co back tomorrow! Really sorry! We’re closing up!"
"Doctor..." Faye Turner’s chest tightened slightly as she hurried to stand up, fearing he might not give her the dicine.
"Miss, co inside!"
Dr. Aiken quickly ca out from behind the counter, pulled Faye Turner in, and started closing the door!
Then he told the people outside, "Co directly tomorrow; your spots are reserved, no need to co early! Really sorry!"
What happened?
Everyone discussed amongst themselves, baffled, as they were shut out of the clinic by Dr. Aiken.
Although Faye Turner was initially nervous, she always believed Dr. Aiken was a good person and wouldn’t do anything to her.
Sure enough, when Dr. Aiken looked at her again, admiration imdiately appeared in his eyes, "Miss, would you mind joining in the backyard?"
Dr. Aiken’s eyes sparkled, "I’m truly sorry, such rudeness!" It felt like he t a kindred spirit!
Dr. Aiken led her to the clinic’s backyard, a small place yet lush with greenery, herbs were also being dried there.
Dr. Aiken called for his wife to make tea, which made Faye Turner even more nervous, would he question her thoroughly?
"Dr. Aiken, do you... do you have all the dicines here?" This was her most pressing concern; she couldn’t do without any of them.
"Yes, yes, yes, we have them, don’t worry, I’ll get them for you shortly." Dr. Aiken sat down in a wicker chair, sighed, and asked, "Miss, how do you know how to make this prescription? Who’s your ntor... which miracle doctor?"
Faye Turner t his gaze, knowing she couldn’t hide her skills from Dr. Aiken, so she thought it over and decided to be honest, "Old Mr. Downey."
"Old Mr. Sean Downey?" Dr. Aiken found it amazing that he guessed correctly.
Did he know her master?
Faye Turner nodded, "Yes."
"Oh my!" Dr. Aiken’s eyes continued to shine as if he had found a great treasure.
In his excitent, he didn’t seem like his usually sharp-tongued self, "A legendary figure in the world of Chinese dicine! It’s said he only has one disciple, and it’s you? So young? And a girl?"
Faye Turner sat obediently, accepting the tea handed over by Mrs. Aiken, "Thank you."
"Miss, what’s your na?" Dr. Aiken asked with clear admiration.
"Faye Turner."
"Fair Tale? What a great na, easy to rember, like a fairy tale story."
"Turner as in the surna, not fairy tale." She smiled, "Just sounds similar, but spelled differently."
Dr. Aiken was very pleased to et her.
Faye Turner held the teacup and spoke softly, "Dr. Aiken, your dical skills are remarkable; I’ve heard of you for a long ti."
"How is your master these days?" he asked, "Back in the day, I had the chance to et your master once, I learned a lot from the old gentleman."
Faye Turner told him that her master had been traveling for a long ti, and she hadn’t seen him for quite a while, so she didn’t know his current situation.
The two of them chatted for a while and exchanged phone numbers.
Dr. Aiken personally fetched the dicine for her, strictly following her prescription, "This dicine isn’t for you, is it? Your complexion looks quite good."
"It’s not for ."
Dr. Aiken nodded, "If this prescription is taken on ti, it will be especially effective for internal regulation. For insomnia, just two or three doses can be effective."
"Yes, that’s right." Faye Turner didn’t write this prescription casually; she thought it through for a long ti, coming up with the most effective thod she could.
Convincing her mother-in-law to take it once was hard enough, she also had to work on Nanny Warren.
If after taking it twice it showed no effect, she certainly wouldn’t drink it again.
As she was leaving, Dr. Aiken still looked at this young girl with admiration.
In this world, doctors who could write such a prescription were truly few, Old Mr. Downey was one, Dr. Aiken was one, and Faye Turner was one.
There wasn’t a fourth.
