The river water here is quite peculiar. Although the flow appears to be lively, it lacks any vitality. Each wave seems very stiff, as if deliberately disguised.
Xiang Beifei stared at the river, his brow furrowing deeper.
"What are you talking about? What source?" Li Qianluo asked, puzzled.
"The Netherworld, have you heard of it?"
"The Netherworld? Oh, you an the one from the Moon God Race?" Li Qianluo asked.
It seems there is nothing she doesn’t know.
"Yes." Xiang Beifei replied.
"What connections do you have with the Moon God Race?" Li Qianluo asked again.
"Quite significant connections." Xiang Beifei slowly said.
The Moon God Race, which Xiang Beifei had always referred to as the at-Winged Monster, initially reared humans in Changpan Valley, allowing them to cultivate to the ridian Opening stage, then brutally killing humans and using them as egg shells for their race’s incubation.
All the at-Winged Monsters need a body vessel; they sacrifice humans upon reaching adulthood, offering themselves to the Netherworld to gain its power.
When Xiang Beifei was in the Great Desolate Realm, he uprooted the at-Winged Monsters completely, killing the Eternal Night Demon King, and obliterating all at-Winged Monsters cleanly.
At the ti, his thod was simple: he just blocked off the Source of the Netherworld.
The water of the Netherworld serves as the power source for all at-Winged Monsters. Once they sacrifice themselves to the Netherworld, if the Netherworld’s water dries up, they lack power and thus die.
Back then, Xiang Beifei hadn’t figured out where the water of the Netherworld flowed from, as the island only had a portal resembling a spatial teleport, from which the Netherworld’s water erged, leading to an unknown destination.
Now, he seed to have an inkling.
Though the river water here isn’t as murky as the Netherworld’s water, it’s seeped in the bloody bones of desolate beasts and human corpses for a long ti, eventually turning into the Netherworld.
If the bloody bones in the Netherworld’s water were filtered out, the remaining pure water would look exactly like this river water!
"Have you encountered the Netherworld?" Xiang Beifei asked.
"I’ve heard of it but haven’t seen it." Li Qianluo said.
"This is almost the aura of the Netherworld." Xiang Beifei pointed to the clear water below.
Li Qianluo examined the flowing water closely, surprised: "Are you sure?"
"Can’t be mistaken."
"I thought the Netherworld would at least be yellow?" Li Qianluo mumbled.
"I also didn’t get a wife with my wife cake."
"Makes sense." Li Qianluo realized.
"We used to swim in the Netherworld!" Xiaohei said.
"Amazing! Your skin must be thick! I estimate even experts of the Inquiring Dao stage would be corroded! Yet you swam!"
Li Qianluo was instantly filled with respect!
Xiaohei rolled his eyes: "Would you be corroded if you jumped in?"
"Not really."
"Then our skin is equally thick!" Xiaohei said.
Li Qianluo nodded with a smile: "Makes sense! Although in the Great Desolate Realm, you weren’t at the Immortal Realm, different from your current state."
At that ti, Xiang Beifei was rely at the Heavenly Connection stage, yet he had immunity to the Netherworld’s water, which was quite remarkable.
"What kind of race is the Moon God Race in the Edge Corner Airspace?" Xiang Beifei asked.
Li Qianluo leaned on the railing by the river, pondered for a mont, and said: "They are loyal followers of the Dao Palace. You can think of them as lackeys, apparently doing sothing specific for the Dao Palace, but I’m not too clear, you’d need to ask Ge Hengzi."
But now Ge Hengzi isn’t around; he’s outside maintaining order, doing assignnts from the Dao Palace, and can’t leave his post, otherwise, it would attract the Dao Palace’s notice.
Xiang Beifei looked at the nearby border wall, wanting further investigation into the relationship between the ancestral artifact and the bloody soil. He had to find a way to get inside the wall, but the area was heavily guarded, and he couldn’t use direct force. He hadn’t figured out how to enter.
Li Qianluo pointed to the end of the river and said: "This river water flows straight into the inner part of the wall. There’s a small hole there, but the water is highly corrosive and very strange, watch."
She picked up a willow leaf from the ground and threw it into the river. As soon as the leaf landed on the surface, the jumping water seed to extend tiny tentacles, grasping the leaf and dragging it underwater.

"You want us to go in through the river water?" Xiaohei asked.
"Otherwise? We can’t climb the wall, once we do, countless eyes will catch us instantly. You said it yourself, our skin is thick enough; diving into the river should be fine." Li Qianluo said.
"Climbing the wall would be discovered; are you sure diving into the river won’t be?" Xiaohei pointed to the surrounding sentries.
Li Qianluo said: "Anyway, I haven’t found any other paths. The wall doesn’t even have a door, this river water is the only path to get inside, and it won’t activate the wall’s formation."
Xiang Beifei walked around the wall, which was crowded with many people outside, noisy, but walking back and forth wouldn’t attract much attention.
Just as Li Qianluo had said, this wall, only two ters high, indeed didn’t have a door, presented as an octagon like a Bagua Array, with river water flowing into a small opening at each corner.
