"Eventually, I will build a Bai Fu Holy City a hundred or even a thousand tis larger than the City of Knowledge!"
Bai Fu walked through the narrow corridor, guided by a robot, to the Si Yue Garden on the Vow.
Unlike the rugged industrial look outside, the interior of the Vow was filled with the literary air of the Jiangnan water towns.
It was said that this was the Oath Lord reminiscing about her hotown.
"Long ti no see."
Seeing Bai Fu, the Oath Lord stood up, her face brimming with smiles, showing no pretense.
Bai Fu hurriedly greeted her.
She was very grateful to the Oath Lord; without the "Virtual Heart" lent to her by the Oath Lord, she would have suffered much more in her engagent with the Secret Tower.
"You don't need to be so formal in front of . Thanks to you, Fei Ye was able to successfully advance to Catastrophe. Also, those Undying People you sent have been extrely helpful. With their aid, I've managed to correct several bad habits in my moves over these years. Unfortunately, there's no one in the Star Contract who can spar with , so I still don't know how much stronger I've beco."
The Oath Lord was extrely excited, her small fists swinging vigorously. Bai Fu stealthily took a few steps back, afraid that the Oath Lord, getting carried away, might pull her over for a spar.
During her retreat, she cast a Spiritual Vision on the Oath Lord, but sadly, the feedback data returned only Na and Level, all else being question marks.
"Primary Profession Total Level 212. That's high, but not among the Super Supre; no wonder the Oath Lord was at a disadvantage when facing Yuan Yi and Lupus."
For the next while, Bai Fu did not initiate conversation, leaving the Oath Lord to chat incessantly.
"That old man Yuan Yi, choosing neither an early nor a late ti for the peace conference, only held it after the conflict with the Tem Civilization had begun—probably just a show for the world to see, surely harboring no good intentions."
"Whatever, I wasn't planning to ddle in the affairs of the Tem Civilization anyway."
"Once there, I'll look for him and have a fight to verify my training results in this period."
"Silver Zhu, where are we now?"
"Why is it so slow? How much money is left in my bank account? Okay, after returning, upgrade the engine of this old ship."
Bai Fu: "..."
It was her first ti realizing the Oath Lord could talk so much; no wonder Silver Zhu managed the Star Contract so efficiently.
Before, she had thought Fei Ye was a minor version of the Oath Lord, as both were belligerent, but now it seed that Fei Ye's temperant was much better than the Oath Lord's.
...
The headquarters of the Arcane Library was slightly distant from the frontier of the Tem Civilization, separated by a total of six Star System Groups.
Thus, despite the Vow's speed, it still took nine days to reach the renowned Arcane Star on the edge of the Edge World.
Bai Fu didn't rush into the Arcane Star but instead placed a Prophet marker on its periphery for a quick escape in case of ergencies. She then waited for a while and moved onto the Arcane Star with a confidante of Nellis.
With the peace conference impending, the Arcane Star was bustling.
Vivid and odd structures peppered the landscape as a variety of spaceships from all around the Starry Sky shuttled ceaselessly. Guided by red energy lines, these ships eventually converged in a vast plain into a gigantic conical building.
[Arcane Library]
Bai Fu looked it up online.
That building was the actual Arcane Library, reputed to store an abundance of knowledge on superpowers and human body research, a sanctuary for Superpower Users and Body Cultivators.
Among the three Super Supre powers of the Edge World, the Arcane Library had the highest number of Dominators and Catastrophe Levels, all drawn by the knowledge controlled by Yuan Yi.
"Will Affairs Officer, Saintess Bai Fu, thank you for accepting the invitation and coming from millions of miles to the Arcane Star for this conference. The contributions you've made to peace are seen and appreciated by people worldwide."
Suddenly, a group of robed figures appeared before Bai Fu.
"Connor, captain of the ground patrol team of the Arcane Library, Upper Catastrophe Level strength."
Nellis's confidante Will narrated to Bai Fu through a private communication channel.
Bai Fu nodded and greeted them with a smile, neither too distant nor overzealous.
She ca here mainly to understand what the "Secret eting" Task was all about. She wanted no part in other matters, as helping Nellis had already attracted many enemies, and she didn't want to get involved in other troubles unwittingly.
Led by Connor, Bai Fu and Will proceeded to the venue.
There were still two days until the official comncent of the conference, but the venue already hosted many attendees.
These people gathered in groups of threes and twos, forming distinct cliques. From their postures, broaching peace without opening hostilities would be an achievent.
Bai Fu looked around but did not spot the Oath Lord or Silver Zhu, indicating that these Super Supre and Dominators had their private interaction spaces.
After looking around briefly, Bai Fu found a less crowded spot to stand, intending to rest in the guest room after a while.
Just then, three people approached from afar.
Will quickly warned, "Those are Lister's people. The one in the front is Calvin, Upper Catastrophe Level."
Bai Fu squinted her eyes; the newcors bode ill!
And true to her suspicion, before even reaching her, Calvin approached with a sneering smile and said, "I thought you wouldn't dare to co."
