Number Nine lifted the Inductive Bait and headed straight for the door.

He didn't feel any psychological burden because the plan had always been to use the bait to destroy the entire Abandoned Cooling Factory at the end of the experint to erase their traces—now it was just happening a bit sooner.

"You're insane!" Julia scread.

Number Nine stopped in his tracks, "Insane? Julia, you should know, we are from the Truth Society! Stop thinking about your little tricks, think about yourself, think about the people back ho, think about the Chairman's kindness to you. What you need to do is use these abandoned cooling devices to complete the validation as soon as possible, otherwise, once the Chairman gets angry, you... hehe..."

A cruel laugh echoed in the lab until the doors closed and everything returned to calm.

Julia silently approached the cooling chamber and continued with the validation, now was not the ti to think about anything else.

...

After leaving the lab, Number Nine rushed straight to the periphery of the Abandoned Cooling Factory with the Inductive Bait.

His main purpose was not to kill everyone in the Abandoned Cooling Factory but to eliminate the two Special Agents and all the outsiders, to buy ti for Julia's validation. Therefore, he planned to secretly pour the bait near the hiding place of the outsiders.

"I don't care whether you really have Undying Bodies, once this place becos a paradise for Mutant Life, even if you really can resurrect, you'll only live a life worse than death!"

Number Nine's gaze was ice cold.

After coming out of the Wildfire Gang, he walked about four or five hundred ters, and suddenly a loud shout ca from the roadside.

"He's coming out!"

"Who?"

Just as Number Nine turned around, he saw several arrows flying towards him from a distance. He quickly ducked, but in the next second, about a dozen strong n jumped out from both sides directly.

"Hmph, thinking of escaping?"

"Hold his legs."

Amidst the shouts, a pile of things flew out from the side of the road.

Li, chili powder, lassos, fishing nets, slippery sli, Poison Sacks... The players throwing these were hitting whatever they could, not caring if they injured their comrades in the process.

This brutal and unreasonable attack stupefied Number Nine.

By the ti he ca to his senses, he realized that a Type II Amoeba's Poison Sack was about to smash onto his face.

"Damn!"

Number Nine quickly leaned back, and the Poison Sack nearly skimd past his scalp, scaring him into a cold sweat.

Even though the poison in the Poison Sack couldn't kill him, if it landed on his face, the pain would temporarily rob him of his ability to fight.

"I'm going to kill all of you!"

Number Nine furiously got back to his feet.

Just then, he suddenly noticed soone rapidly closing in from behind.

Thinking of ambush?

Number Nine couldn't help but laugh angrily.

Seeking death!

He twisted his shoulders and grabbed the fist of the charging Converting to My Fu.

"Just with you trying to..."

Number Nine's words were cut off because the next second Converting to My Fu lifted his leg and kicked hard at his crotch.

Pop, it was the sound of an egg smashing.

"Aah—"

The intense pain imdiately stiffened Number Nine, causing him to freeze completely.

Not just him, the other players around also felt a chill in their groin and instinctively took a step back from Converting to My Fu.

"How vicious," Bai Fu muttered from her hiding spot.

She had to admit the players' performance exceeded her expectations. She didn't even need to take action—which ant missing out on so experience, but at least she wouldn't risk exposing herself.

As she watched the other players retreat, Joined Fu panicked, "What are you guys waiting for? Co help crush his eggs, otherwise he'll recover his mobility soon."

"Oh, oh, I'm coming, I'm on my way!"

Patrick felt a bit embarrassed; he had actually gotten distracted during the fight. But he felt it wasn't his fault; it was just that Joined Fu was too ruthless. Who wouldn't be afraid of that move?

As Patrick stepped forward, the other players also snapped out of it.

They drew their weapons; so aid for the eggs, others targeted the rear.

Luckily, Number Nine wasn't a normal person but a mutant. After enduring the initial shock, he forcefully withstood the successive pains of being attacked, and pressed the button on the Spiritual Ability Restrainer hidden in his pocket.

Buzz!

The mont the players were restrained, Number Nine forcefully threw the Inductive Bait onto the ground.

It was a long way from the edge of the Abandoned Cooling Factory. It would take a long ti for mutant life to sll the bait and co over.

But he didn't have ti to think about that; he smashed the bait first, then took out a potion from his pocket and injected it into his arm.

After the injection, Number Nine limped toward the Wildfire Gang, bearing his injuries.

The Spiritual Ability Restrainer's maximum restriction ti was only a minute, and only a few seconds for those with high Inspiration.

He had no intention of counterattacking the players now; he just wanted to escape back to the lab as fast as possible.

A few seconds later, a player broke free from the restraint first.

"Damn it, my experience points, stop right there!"

Soon, more and more players freed themselves. They didn't care that they were approaching the Wildfire Gang; they chased after him quickly. After all, how could they let a duck that was almost in their mouth fly away?

"Hey, what are you doing?"

In the Wildfire Gang base, the stationed underlings were stunned as they watched the players rushing over. It took them a while to recover.

"What are you dazing at? Hurry up and call the boss back, outsiders are attacking!"

They scattered in panic. Nobody dared to intercept the players; their shaless tactics in the earlier fight had scared them.

At a salary of barely a hundred bucks a month, why risk their lives? If they could get the ssage to the boss, they'd have earned their salary.

Bai Fu didn't rush to follow the action; she quickly shot a Spiritual Vision at the object Number Nine had smashed before fleeing.

There must be a reason he smashed that object while escaping.

[Inductive Bait (Damaged)]

[Quality]: Blue

[Additional Effect]: After use, induces nearby mutant life, radiation range 5 km, duration 1 month.

"5 kiloters, that's enough to cover the Pollution Zone."

Seeing the data returned by the Spiritual Vision, Bai Fu's face turned pale.

The terror brought by mutant life was self-explanatory. She didn't know how many mutant lives the inductive bait could attract, but even if it was only a hundred, the chain reaction they would trigger could lead to the entire Abandoned Cooling Factory falling.

"Is this beast trying to drag the entire Abandoned Cooling Factory down with him?"

Escape?

No, escape was obviously not an option now, considering that transport from the Abandoned Cooling Factory to Lynn was at most a weekly round trip.

At this mont, Bai Fu couldn't care about anything else; she hurried ho to have An Ya hide in the basent, then returned to the Wildfire Gang.

She could only hope now that Number Nine had sothing on him to suppress the inductive bait. Otherwise, things were about to escalate.
