95 Ai Zhaojiang’s Humble Way Of Helping

Luo Feng raised his eyebrows suspiciously hearing the landlord and Ai Zhaojiang’s explanation. “Really?”

The last ti Ai Zhaojiang was questioned was at a teaching seminar. He stood on the stage and argued with the scholars and professors, making them speechless.

At this mont, facing a re freshman like Luo Feng, he felt guilty and needed to ask the landlord for help.

How could he not want to tell the truth to Ai Tingya? How could he not want to wave his hand and point out the shop in a pri location to Ai Tingya?

Even though the Ai family was not super rich, they had been from a scholarly family for generations and had accumulated a considerable amount of wealth. Even though the shop that Luo Feng and Tingya had their eyes on was not under the Ai family’s na, they could still afford the penalty.

The landlord was also quite polite on account of the professor.

“Of course it’s true!” The landlord stood up to help. “Can our Professor Ai trick you?”

Luo Feng did not think that Ai Zhaojiang would trick them. It was just previously he tried to treat them to a al and now he was trying to help them with the shop this ti. Did Oxford University give new students such preferential treatnt?

Ai Zhaojiang raised his hand and gestured for the landlord to take out the contract. He spread it on the table and said to Ai Tingya, “I’ll vouch for you since we are here now. Sign the contract so that it won’t be troubleso.”

Luo Feng and Ai Tingya looked at each other.

He still insisted on his previous decision. “I’m sorry, Professor Ai. We’ll find another shop ourselves.”

The reason why Luo Feng did not take over was not only because he did not want to owe anyone a favor, but also because if the rent of the shop was lower, his returns would be even lesser! Luo Feng wanted to get more benefits and quickly invest in the next step.

When Ai Zhaojiang heard this, his white eyebrows imdiately dropped. Even soone like him with a golden tongue would be silent one day.

“Um… Do you want to reconsider?” The landlord saw that Professor Ai was sad and tried to make up for it.

Ai Tingya said seriously, “Thank you for your kind intentions, Professor Ai, but we want to rely on ourselves. This can also be considered a form of training.”

Ai Zhaojiang was both happy and sad hearing his granddaughter speak to him.

There was no need to ntion how happy he was. He was sad because the more independent Ai Tingya beca, the more he felt that he was a spare.

Previously, he had been worried about Ai Tingya when he t with her. He, who had long retired, went to school every day to have a chance encounter with her and say a few more words to her.

Ai Zhaojiang didn’t see the two of them in school for a few days. Later, he found out from Professor Jing that the two of them were busy opening a shop.

He also found out from Professor Jing that Ai Tingya and Luo Feng opened a milk tea shop in Crown City. Its business was very good and very popular.

Ai Zhaojiang felt gratified and felt that he owed Ai Tingya.

He hoped that Ai Tingya would be pampered and not have to suffer any hardships. She could just do what she liked.

Therefore, he imdiately used his connections to contact the shop and lowered the rent to the lowest. If possible, he wanted to book an entire street of shops for Tingya to choose from!

Why did he have to lie one lie after another like now and be rejected so decisively?

Ai Zhaojiang was dejected. His lowered eyes were like a stray dog that had been abandoned. The sadness of no longer being needed was obvious.

Seeing this, the landlord felt that this was a good opportunity. “Professor Ai, don’t be sad. It’s a good thing for students to be independent. Even though you spent a large sum of your retirent pension to compensate and even though you spent two days thinking for , it’s fine. The students are all developing in a good direction, right?”

Every word he said was like an arrow stabbing into Ai Tingya’s heart. He began to sway from side to side and looked at Luo Feng with troubled eyes unable to bear it.

Ai Zhaojiang realized sothing interesting.

Even though Luo Feng was in charge between the two of them, he took care of Ai Tingya’s emotions.

“Sigh, I’m old and can’t help easily…” Ai Zhaojiang lanted.

Ai Tingya was soft-hearted to begin with, so how could she listen to this? She widened her big eyes and looked at Luo Feng pitifully, hoping that he would think of a way to get the best of both worlds.

Luo Feng looked at Ai Zhaojiang, who was pretending to be pitiful, speechlessly. How could a professor from a famous university with both fa and fortune be so glass-hearted?

He didn’t believe it anyway, but Ai Tingya did. If he rejected the old man’s good intentions, Ai Tingya would probably be sad for a long ti.

Luo Feng rubbed his temples and compromised. “Alright, Professor Ai, we can rent the shop, but we have to follow the original rent. Do you think this is suitable?”

It was better for everyone to take a step back.

Ai Zhaojiang looked at his granddaughter’s worried face and was overjoyed when he heard that there was a way out.

“Alright, then you have to work harder.” Ai Zhaojiang smiled. She felt that her granddaughter was too ambitious!

After negotiating the matter, the landlord changed the amount of the rent under the gaze of Luo Feng and Ai Tingya. The other conditions did not change, and Luo Feng readily signed his na.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Ai Zhaojiang smiled and asked Ai Tingya, “Student Ai must be hungry. The at sauce noodles in this shop are very good. Let’s try them together.”

Even though Tingya felt that sothing was wrong, she couldn’t bear to reject the old man. “Let’s sit at the sa table if it isn’t too much trouble for you.”

“Of course not.” Ai Zhaojiang was overjoyed.

He finally got the chance to eat with Ai Tingya. He was so excited that he asked for everything he felt was good. The small square table was almost full in just a few minutes.

Luo Feng laughed. “Professor Ai, you’re too polite.”

“Is there anything you like?” Ai Zhaojiang snorted and asked Ai Tingya with a smile.

Tingya was flattered. She nodded and felt that sothing was wrong, but then shook her head. In the end, she picked up the nearest cake and said, “This is very good.”

She cut off a piece and placed it in her mouth. Her bulging cheeks looked like a little hamster. Ai Zhaojiang’s heart almost lted as he planned to buy a cara next ti and record this precious scene!

He had not been so happy since his son left ho.

Halfway through the al, Ai Zhaojiang seized the opportunity and said, “Student Ai, we’re really fated. I’ll call you Tingya in the future.”

Ai Tingya nodded without objection.

Luo Feng, who was holding half a bowl of noodles, acutely sensed a familiar sll. Why did he sll Mother Luo on Ai Zhaojiang?

When he looked over, Ai Zhaojiang was indeed adding food to Ai Tingya’s plate. His quick movents coincided with Mother Luo’s actions of picking up food.

Ai Tingya was not good at rejecting others’ good intentions. She could only thank Ai Zhaojiang while chewing faster.

Her puffed-up cheeks kept moving. She was simply too cute with her innocent gaze! Even the unrelated landlord was stunned.

Luo Feng and Ai Zhaojiang revealed gentle expressions.

...

Ai Zhaojiang glanced at Luo Feng silently. He felt that it was not good for such a cute granddaughter to be kidnapped by a brat. He was not so easy to fool as his granddaughter!
