The middle-aged man was shocked by her powers but did not give up and activated his speeding abilities as he charged towards Promise.
The speeding ability borrowed from the governnt had been strengthened over ti with use and had reached a very high level.
The middle-aged man was not the most compatible with the speeding ability and could not unleash the greatest power of the speeding ability. However, once the ability was activated, the surrounding movent beca slower and slower. It was to the point where even the flapping wings of a fly could be seen clearly and precisely.
Under such circumstances, the middle-aged man moved alone in a slow-motion world, advancing towards Promise with each step he took. At the sa ti, he slowly raised the gun in his hand and aid at Promise’s chest.
"I can’t stop the Virtual-Spirit Army but Promise... I should at least injure her..."
However, the middle-aged man was petrified. In the world of slow-motion, he could clearly see Promise cracking her head and her eyes narrowing slightly as she gave him a death stare.
"She... she’s staring at ?" The middle-aged man was stunned for a mont. "How is that possible?"
To his astonishnt, Promise slowly opened her mouth and spoke, "This... is... too... slow..."
The next mont, the young lady raised a leg and kicked the middle-aged man with such speed that he was not able to react in ti.
With her superhuman abilities, Promise was able to reach the sa level of speed as the middle-aged man.
Bam! In increased speed mode, the middle-aged man was sent flying by the young lady and smacked against the wall of the hotel with a loud thud. As nurous cracks ford on the wall, the middle-aged man slumped on the floor and spat out a mouthful of blood.
By the ti the man managed to raise his head, Promise reappeared in front of him in a gust of wind and aid her foot to step on his head.
The young lady did not show any sign of rcy. With one step of her leg, the air seed to have burst under pressure and gusts of wind pressed against the man’s face.
In the face of the terrifying foot that was about to land on him, the middle-aged man could not think of a counterattack and hopelessness ensued as he thought to himself, "I’m dood..."
Right at the next mont a loud explosion was heard as the crazy gusts of air burst open in front of the middle-aged man. When he regained his senses, he saw the Headless Horseman in front of him.
Promise had already slamd through the wall into another room.
With loud bang, she sent the cent, bricks and dust on her body flying off in all directions. She stood up with an eerie aura as she looked at Zhao Yao and said, "Headless Horseman, are you really wishing for death?"
Right before that, Zhao Yao activated ti freeze and carried Promise over to the wall for her to slam head-first into it to save the middle-aged man.
Zhao Yao ignored Promise’s question and just communicated telepathically to Roly Poly, "Have you found the supercat?"
Roly Poly jumped onto Zhao Yao’s shoulders and replied, "Nope. I searched all the rooms on this level, there wasn’t even a strand of cat fur around."
Zhao Yao was chatting with his opponent as he let Roly Poly out to find the traces of the supercat in invisibility. As Roly Poly’s invisibility range was large enough, Zhao Yao was not worried that it would not be able to cover his head while Roly Poly was searching the whole level to find the supercats.
Alas, Roly Poly did not manage to find the supercat.
Zhao Yao thought to himself, "The supercat from the Ark Army should be in Promise’s body now. The virtual-spirit supercat will be the most troubleso one."
Promise walked towards him and scread, "Headless Horseman, did you hear what I just said?"
Zhao Yao turned and glanced at her curiously, "What did you say?"
"You!" Promise scread. "Looks like we have been belittled, Formless."
Formless’ eerie voice emanated from the space around them. "Promise, I wouldn’t mind if you want to beat him up first."
Promise smirked and shook her arms to warm up as she said, "Headless Horseman, if you can’t take the blows just say it. I will go easy on you..."
In a flash, Promise’s punch flew over, bringing with it mad gusts of wind which landed right smack on Zhao Yao’s... shadow.
Looking at the shadows that were slowly disappearing and at Zhao Yao who reappeared at the other end of the corridor, Promise narrowed her eyes as she moved in a flash, pursuing him with yet another punch.
However, as fast as she was, Zhao Yao could still sense her movent with the combined powers of his five cats.
Basically whenever he saw her body flash, Zhao Yao had already activated ti freeze and appeared at another spot. As long as Promise’s speed was not too fast for Zhao Yao to react, even if Zhao Yao was not physically able to match her pace, he would have had enough ti to activate ti freeze to avoid her blows.
"Teleportation..." Seeing how Zhao Yao easily avoided her blows, Promise’s face darkened even more as she let out an angry roar, unleashing all the powers in her body. A storm-like force was generated which charged towards Zhao Yao at full speed.
As she rained kicks and punches, walls and doors burst apart from the impact of her attacks. The floor beneath them cracked layer by layer, forming countless crack lines that spread out in all directions.
Promise scread, "Headless Horseman! You can’t escape."
It looked as if Zhao Yao had no chance to counterattack from all the blows that were aid at him, but in reality he led Promise around the whole floor as he thought to himself, "The supercat of the Virtual-spirit Army... there’s really no trace of him. I can’t tell where he is... I don’t even know if he’s really here at all."
Looking at Promise as the world was in a standstill, Zhao Yao thought, "If this next move can’t catch the virtual-spirit cat, I’ll just have to finish them all off."
In the next mont, Zhao Yao had already walked into the Extradinsional Belly. He searched high and low for Catherine, the ragdoll cat mother who was currently trimming her fur. He also brought Sphynx cat out, who had been squatting in front of Rice Cake’s cage.
Zhao Yao walked back into the hotel through the dinsion portal with Catherine and Sphynx cat in his arms. He threw Sphynx cat onto Promise’s body and walked to an empty spot.
"This spot should be just nice," Zhao Yao observed his spot for a mont. He walked out again and unleashed the full powers of his five cats, blasting against a door 10 tis over.
"This should work now."
At that mont, Zhao Yao could clearly see all the rooms of the floor where he stood.
It turned out that as he led Promise in a full circle around the whole floor just then, he had made use of her attacks to knock down every wall, ornant and furniture, clearing his view of the whole floor.
Most importantly, everyone could see where he was standing.
Zhao Yao spent so much effort on this as he wanted to have full control over his view of the place. He wanted all the apostles that were casting the virtual spirit-body power to see him clearly at that mont, without leaving any of them out.
Next, he activated the Paralysis Ring and switched from the power of ti freeze to ultra rapid regeneration as he scread out, "All you b*stards! Look here!"
