"【Is this unclear? Bai Liang set a trap! The rules on the announcent at the lab door, the fifth rule, rember?】"

"【Bai Liang is a master of traps. Ten steps and soone's caught, no rcy.】"

"【Looking at this situation, I suddenly rembered a past dungeon where Bai Liang cleverly set up so poor guy in the hospital basent.】"

"【This guy is clearly unlucky to run into Bai Liang. He's already dood.】"

...

Bai Liang opened the office door, and three doctors simultaneously turned at the sound.

He calmly walked over and sat down opposite the grey-haired elderly doctor.

"What's bothering you?" The doctor carefully examined Bai Liang, then asked with a kind smile.

The fundantals of dical practice: observation, listening, inquiry, palpation.

Bai Liang pondered for a mont, then replied:

"Lately, I often feel cold, sleep poorly, and sotis experience a heaviness in my chest."

The elderly doctor nodded and addressed the young doctor standing nearby:

"Give him an electrocardiogram."

The young doctor perford the examination, and the results appeared on the elderly doctor's computer screen.

"The ECG is fine. The heaviness in your chest is likely due to insufficient rest lately," the doctor said calmly, looking at Bai Liang. "Do you often lack sleep?"

Bai Liang shook his head:

"Not often, no. I generally work nights."

Doctor: ...

He bit his lip, unsure what to say, then picked up a dical form and began filling it out.

"Try to have fewer sleepless nights, especially if you work in the scientific field. ntal work is more exhausting than physical."

"As a researcher, you should understand this. I'll prescribe you so dicine; you can pick it up at the dispensing window later."

After filling out the form, the doctor handed it to Bai Liang.

"Alright," Bai Liang took the form and quickly glanced at it. It listed only one redy: a liquid for calming and strengthening the brain.

anwhile.

On the dark second floor of the laboratory, where only the faint light of LED lamps on the walls illuminated the space, a figure moved stealthily.

This person was extrely cautious, looking around and avoiding any hint of danger.

"The guy at the door surely won't notice anything," Fang Anping muttered softly, recalling Bai Liang, who was standing at the entrance.

He was confident in his acting skills. Using such tricks, he had managed to deceive others more than once.

As Bai Liang had suspected, Fang Anping was also a Player, his role being a Level 2 Researcher.

He was researching the application of Z-cells in dicine.

At this stage, most Players already had a deep understanding of dungeons. Fang Anping knew virtually all D-level dungeons, and he had even studied walkthroughs for many of them.

He didn't belong to any large organizations, but he was a mber of one of the strong groups that ranked just below the 'top five' leading organizations.

Players in the Strange World had one distinct characteristic: those who belonged to the top 5 organizations often behaved arrogantly in dungeons, considering themselves superior to others.

Whereas individuals like Fang Anping preferred to act covertly. They entered dungeons and tried to disguise themselves to avoid standing out.

As soon as he entered this dungeon, he imdiately realized the place was unfamiliar to him. Everything here was new and unknown.

And the unknown ant more dangers!

Fang Anping chose the most appropriate tacticto pretend to be an NPC so that other Players couldn't figure out who he really was.

"Where was that serum kept? Yesterday, I deliberately stayed until the end, but the damn supervisor kicked out!" Fang Anping grumbled to himself, rummaging through the laboratory.

He was looking for one of the research results stored in the laboratory. The day before, he had accidentally overheard a very important clue.

An improved version of Z-cells was stored in the lab. If he could get his hands on it, he would find the key to completing this dungeon!

It was precisely this clue that made Fang Anping risk returning here.

"Really? Did I hear that correctly?"

"Of course it's true. I heard it from the supervisor himself; he said this matter concerns the future of all of us. How could I joke with you?"

At that mont, a conversation reached Fang Anping. His heart clenched, and he imdiately froze, halting all his actions.

The sound was very faint, and it seed to co not from the laboratory, but from the adjacent room.

"Does this lab have such bad soundproofing?" Fang Anping looked around in bewildernt, but curiosity compelled him to keep listening to the conversation.

Last ti, he had managed to get a useful clue by overhearing soone else's conversation. Perhaps this ti he would learn sothing useful too.

Fang Anping pressed his ear to the wall, and the sounds from the next room beca slightly clearer.

"If we complete this project, we'll be able to work at the research institute and earn more money!"

"How did you know that? Did the group leader ntion it?"

"Yes, last ti, when he was talking to one of the company's executives, I happened to pass by and overheard that executive talking about it."

"The research institutethat's the real core of the company. Will we get in there?"

"If the project is completed, getting into the institute is a sure thing. Don't you believe it?"

"Shhh~ Soone's eavesdropping on us..."

Until this mont, Fang Anping had been listening to the conversation with interest, but the last sentence made his eyes widen. A chill ran down his spine, the hairs on his body stood on end, and his skin tingled.

He was noticed?!

"Damn it, these rules can't be trusted at all!" Fang Anping's face tensed.

He had carefully studied the five rules posted at the laboratory entrance, and theoretically, he should be safe right now because he had a sick leave certificate in his hands.

Patients in the laboratory could undergo treatnt peacefully, aning his safety was guaranteed if he acted as a patient.

But Fang Anping didn't hesitate. He turned and bolted. Staying here would be suicide.

He needed to get to the doctor's office as quickly as possible so the doctor could protect him.

Whoosh!

As he ran, a black object suddenly flew right into his face, completely covering it!

When Fang Anping pulled it off his face and looked, he discovered it was... an admission form!

And his personal details were recorded on it!

But his original admission form was still in his hands. Where did this extra one co from, especially a black one?

"It can't be that I'm this unlucky?" Taking a deep breath, Fang Anping quickly put away both forms and, as if frantic, rushed towards the laboratory door.

"Don't go, don't go, I have information for you – about how to survive."

"I can tell you how to complete the mission. Don't run away, let's just talk, alright?"

Talking was out of the question – Fang Anping had decided he wanted to live a little longer.
