The company held her in such high regard, largely because of Jing Yao. Thinking of this, Feiling’s eyes ward up, not knowing how Jing Yao was doing and she couldn’t stop worrying about him.
Jing Hao calculated the ti and felt that his family should have left by now, so he took Feiling to the hospital with him, but when they arrived, an argunt was taking place in the hospital room.
Father Jing, Mrs. Jing, and even his sister Jing Xin all wanted Jing Yao to go abroad to treat his leg. Although Jing Yao had already undergone surgery, he still hadn’t been able to stand up after such a long ti, so they wanted him to receive treatnt abroad.
But Jing Yao was unwilling, which really vexed Father Jing and Mrs. Jing, even Jing Xin looked disapprovingly at her stubborn brother.
When Feiling arrived at the door, she felt it wasn’t the right ti since Father Jing and Mrs. Jing were there. Feiling felt it was inappropriate to enter or retreat.
However, Jing Hao pushed the door open and when the Jing Family saw Feiling, the atmosphere suddenly tensed up.
"Brother, you..." Jing Yao looked at Jing Hao sowhat angrily. They had agreed not to tell, yet he had brought Feiling.
Yet looking at Feiling at the door, he also felt a sense of longing. Over the past year, Jing Yao had relied on photos, photo collections, advertisents, TV shows, and DVDs featuring Feiling; his cara, on the other hand, had been set aside.
"I’ll co another day," said Feiling awkwardly as she stepped out, feeling that her earlier worries were unnecessary and given the Jing Family’s attitude, it wasn’t appropriate for her to stay.
Jing Yao’s gaze darkened and Jing Hao said, "Are you just going to leave like this?"
Feiling paused at Jing Hao’s voice. She couldn’t stay as the Jing Family didn’t welco her, and seeing Jing Yao, who was still sitting on the bed, seed to be alright.
"Mom, Dad, let’s go back," Jing Hao said.
Father Jing, Mrs. Jing, and Jing Xin frowned. Jing Hao pointed at Jing Yao, and the Jing Family sighed internally; with their son in this state, they really couldn’t show any discontent towards Feiling.
Moreover, their son’s car accident wasn’t Feiling’s fault, though it was sowhat related to her. But ultimately, it also had to do with them as parents.
With that, the Jing Family left, leaving only Jing Yao in the hospital room. Feiling stood at the door opposite Jing Yao for a mont before entering and asking, "What’s the situation?"
"Just as you see," Jing Yao replied. Then looking at Feiling, he asked, "How are you doing now? Is acting going smoothly?"
Feiling couldn’t help pouting and nodded, "It’s going fairly well, but acting isn’t without its hardships."
While Feiling appeared successful and fortunate, her acting involved hard work. Fortunately, she had trained in martial arts with her father and brother from a young age, which gave her an edge in physical roles.
However, Feiling couldn’t always play combative roles; she was always challenged with various characters, which naturally was tough.
Sotis, Feiling endured harsh scolding from directors on set, but she didn’t let her family know. She was afraid that if she complained, her family might stop her from acting.
But what Feiling didn’t know was that her family was aware of her situation. They felt sorry for her but also knew that if Feiling was to succeed in acting, she needed to refine her skills, and so hardships were necessary.
Of course, if a director personally attacked, swore, or was physically abusive, the Gao Family would never stand by and watch Feiling be mistreated.
"Has anyone been bullying you?" Jing Yao asked.
Feiling shook her head, "Do I look that easy to bully? Those people see my line of bodyguards, and they wouldn’t dare to bully ."
It was true what Feiling said. Her bodyguards were forr soldiers, previously under Gao Jiaxing’s command. After they retired, Gao Jiaxing specifically trained them to protect Feiling.
Jing Yao sighed with relief. Feiling asked, "Would you like so water? I’ll pour you so."
Jing Yao nodded, and Feiling poured him a glass of water, then poured another one for herself and set it aside.
"When did the accident happen?" Feiling asked.
Jing Yao smiled faintly, "It was a year ago."
Feiling exclaid in shock, "A year! A year! You wouldn’t have told if your brother hadn’t looked for , would you?"
Feiling’s eyes were now red with tears, her heart aching.
"Don’t cry, I’m alright," said Jing Yao. As soon as he finished speaking, Feiling imdiately threw back the blanket covering him, "Then what about your legs? Since I ca in, you’ve just been sitting, but you love to move around. How could you just sit still?"
Jing Yao paused, and Feiling, looking at Jing Yao’s legs, burst into tears, "Does it hurt?"
"It doesn’t hurt now, it’s fine, my legs aren’t completely broken," Jing Yao said gratefully, fearing what he would face if his legs were totally unusable.
Feiling massaged Jing Yao’s hands, "Can you feel anything?"
Jing Yao shook his head, "Not at the mont, but the doctor said that my condition is gradually improving."
Just as Feiling was about to speak, the phone rang, reminding her that she had told her mom she would return ho.
The call was from Xia Xiao. Feiling gestured with the phone to Jing Yao, "It’s my mom calling, I will take the call."
Jing Yao nodded, and Feiling took the phone outside to answer, "Mom."
"Feiling, when are you coming back?" Xia Xiao had already cooked and was waiting for her daughter to co back to stir-fry, but she didn’t expect to wait so long without seeing her. After calling Feiling’s agent and being inford that Feiling had left with Jing Hao, it was no wonder Xia Xiao was worried.
"I," Feiling looked at Jing Yao’s hospital room, conflicted, "Mom, I might not be back so soon."
"What happened, your agent said you and Jing Hao left."
After Xia Xiao spoke, Feiling hesitated before saying, "Jing Yao had an accident a year ago. Mom, his legs can’t move. Can you ask Grandma if there is anything we can do?"
Xia Xiao made a clucking noise, "Which hospital are you at?"
After Feiling told her the location, Xia Xiao said, "Okay, you stay there."
After hanging up the phone, Feiteng said, "Mom, Feiling is in the hospital, what happened?"
"Jing Yao had an accident a year ago, and Feiling is now at the hospital visiting him."
As soon as Xia Xiao finished speaking, Feiteng frowned, and Xia Xiao said, "I am going to stir-fry now and head to the hospital in a bit."
Seeing her daughter like this, it seed she had really bonded with him. Xia Xiao thought of eating quickly and then bringing Zheng Xianghong to the hospital with her. She had no idea about the current state of Jing Yao’s legs, but later, she planned to apply so spring water to see if it would help.
Xia Xiao efficiently stir-fried, then packed two servings of food and soup in containers, adding spring water to the soup.
Once at the dining table, Xia Xiao discussed Jing Yao’s situation with Zheng Xianghong.
