She turned her head, her beautiful eyes gazing closely into Andrew’s eyes, with a kind of girlish incredulity on her face: "Hund...hund...hundred tis!?!"
She was montarily at a loss for words!
At this mont, An Ya was even more shocked than when she saw Andrew kill the old mage Humboldt or when he exorcised the Desolate Beasts to lift the life-and-death crisis of the Wildfire Territory!
The three major problems of the Inner Sea Desert—Desolate Beast Sand Tides, lung burns, and water scarcity—the most terrifying one is naturally the Desolate Beasts; the most tornting, the lung burns.
But the most fundantal problem, truly, is the severe lack of water.
In the Fla Realm, it’s not that the air is filled entirely with Fire Elents; there are Water Elents too.
For instance, the Southern Retreat Land actually has a lot of forests, even rainforests.
North of the Royal Court in the north, there are continuous snowy mountains, which are the source of many rivers.
While the water and fire elents are unbalanced in the entire Fla Realm, it hasn’t reached the degree of the Inner Sea Desert.
The Inner Sea Desert is genuinely extre in its water scarcity.
The proportion of Water Elents in the air is significantly lower here than in other parts of the Fla Realm!
But Andrew now says, "Our Wildfire Territory does not lack water!"
To An Ya, it seed that Andrew wasn’t really talking about water, but addressing the fundantal problem of the Inner Sea Desert.
It wasn’t about water, but about life! It was...hope!!
But where on earth did this so-called "hundred tis the water" co from?
Staring intently into Andrew’s eyes, this was the first ti An Ya lost her composure since she first saw Andrew awaken her father.
She stared at Andrew.
Andrew also looked at her calmly.
A mont later, An Ya confird: Andrew wasn’t lying. Although he was obviously holding back so information, what he said should be true.
Because eyes don’t lie.
An Ya didn’t know the Heart Fire Series of magic, but she believed in her intuition for judging people.
"...Earlier, I sent everyone back to their original towns, which seems to have been a misjudgnt. It was completely unnecessary!"
Andrew scratched his face, a bit embarrassed, "From now on, we’ll welco anyone willing to live in our Wildfire Territory!"
At this point, Andrew’s smile faded, and his face turned serious: "Of course, we’re not a charity, so we’re not saying we’ll provide unconditionally. Instead, we want all those willing to join our Wildfire Territory to have sothing to do, so everyone can have a job that allows them to have a good life by serving others!"
An Ya suppressed the urge to ask what this new term "charity" ant and looked at Andrew: "So, what do you an, sir?"
Andrew pursed his lips and said, "I an...let’s expand! Let’s work together and start by expanding our Wildfire Territory. After all...we can’t have everyone who cos to seek refuge staying in temporary tent camps, right?"
Expanding the Wildfire Territory, that was Andrew’s current thought.
Not only to accept the people coming to seek refuge.
But also to lead everyone in a genuine expansion of Wildfire Territory! Rather than the ergency use of temporary camps like before.
Whether the Desolate Beasts ca seeking exorcism or desert residents seeking shelter, to Andrew now—
They were essentially the three major problems of the Inner Sea Desert!
Barbara had already sent out the news about the Wildfire Territory through Desert Eagle Communication.
Now it’s just a matter of patiently waiting for responses.
After all, waiting is waiting, so why not settle in and solve the three major problems of the Inner Sea Desert first!
The solution is to build a sanctuary at the harsh center of the Inner Sea Desert, where people are not threatened by Desolate Beasts, don’t suffer from lung burns, and can drink clean and sanitary water.
An oasis in the desert.
A true ho!
"Expand...expand..."
An Ya muttered twice.
After all, she hadn’t personally seen the "Lake of the Ocean" beneath the Wildfire Territory.
Only through Andrew’s talk of "expansion" did An Ya gradually understand, in a roundabout way, the significance of that "hundred tis water supply" Andrew ntioned earlier.
Indeed, the scale of the Inner Sea Desert’s towns is directly matched to their local water supply.
The Wildfire Territory originally had so many water resources—though Andrew still hadn’t said where the water ca from—but since there’s so much water, expanding the Wildfire Territory to a matching town scale is perfectly reasonable!
The thought of what the future new face of Wildfire Territory might be...
An Ya’s beautiful eyes began to shine with a kind of strange light she had never experienced before!
She touched her chest with one hand, took a deep breath, trying to calm her wildly beating heart. This ti, she didn’t say much, only said, "Got it, sir. Leave it to !"
A simple sentence, yet incredibly solemn.
Because she knew what an important task Andrew had entrusted to her!
Many years later, An Ya would recall this experience and tell her children:
"The expansion project gave everyone aningful work, and the first beneficiary was actually your mom.
The job as the administrator of Wildfire Territory allowed your mom to find another way to realize self-worth after previously managing the Living People Cetery! And managing a territory is indeed much harder than running a Living People Cetery.
Hmm, what’s that? What does ’self-worth’ an? Uh, well, maybe it’s too early to explain this to you now..."
An Ya was the kind of person with a strong work ethic.
After telling Andrew "leave it to ," she quickly went to carry out the new task he gave her.
"A working woman... is beautiful."
Andrew watched An Ya’s moving silhouette.
Suddenly raising his hand, he slapped himself hard, "Damn it, why am I daydreaming at such a sunny, positive, aningful mont? Damn, why do I now feel an inexplicable closeness to An Ya, just like before with Barbara..."
"Huh, Andrew brother, why are you hitting yourself?"
Little Sophie happened to co to find Andrew, and was startled by the way Andrew angrily slapped himself.
She tilted her little head, bewildered, looking at the palm print on Andrew’s face, and thought Uncle Ivan said to beco a strong Desert Hunter, one must be tough on themselves! So...could this be a form of Andrew brother’s training? But Andrew brother isn’t a Desert Hunter!
Andrew quickly took his gaze away from An Ya’s moving figure, inconspicuously adjusting his posture as if trying to hide sothing.
Clearing his throat, he said, "A...an adult’s business is none of a child’s concern!"
Little Sophie blinked her eyes and looked at An Ya’s silhouette, suddenly letting out an "ah," and realized: "Andrew brother, do you want to sleep with sister An Ya?"
Andrew: "..."
Almost forgot, these kids in the Inner Sea Desert mature so early!
This little girl in front of him wanted to give birth to a monkey for him the first ti they t when he arrived here and was sentenced to death by the old mage Humboldt...
