anwhile, in Italy...
There was no way Sebastian wouldn’t notice Noah’s absence. He had taken a trip to the next town on Noah’s orders, to see if the Red Moon pack were secretly plotting sothing where they couldn’t see but by the ti he ca back to give his report, he found out that Noah was nowhere to be seen.
He wanted to believe Noah did not make the mistake of running away during such an important mont when they needed to finalize the deal with the Red Moon pack and discuss how the joint program was going to happen.
But it was true.
Noah had run away and his flight destination was Manchester.
Not only that, he ca to realize that the Alpha of the Red Moon pack had gone to Manchester as well, and he went with his son, whom he hardly took anywhere because of how shy he was.
This brought Sebastian to a series of conclusions.
He was there during the eting so he knew Steven’s idea of joining both packs. A marriage bond wasn’t too far-fetched since they both had kids of the opposite gender. No need to force one into being a female and cause strife.
And since it looked like Steven also wanted the packs to be joined for the good of his own pack, he would definitely go through with what he had in mind.
There was no way he would suddenly harm the little princess or force her so his thod might be to make the kids get to know each other.
Since Noah would only support Olivia’s decision when the ti was right, it was a smart move to make Olivia and the little prince get to know each other, beco familiar, and even like each other.
That was for the best.
The only issue now was if Noah would allow it. Would he allow Steven’s son to get close to his daughter?
Steven definitely thought of this so he must have a solution for that as well.
Sebastian sat down and sighed.
For all his years of living, this Alpha’s reign was the most ’colorful’ and active.
He did not fight for his own corrupt gain and did not try to use people either. He did not do dirty deeds and make Sebastian carry out dirty orders like the assassination of the innocent either.
So, during this period, Sebastian had what you would call peace of mind.
The only stress he got was from Noah’s constant longing for his lover and how his tantrums got worse the more he missed Michael.
’It’s hard to hold down an Alpha in love.’ he thought with his eyes closed. ’I’m glad it’s over now.’
But was it really over?
Wasn’t the war just beginning?
Surely, the issue with Olivia and Steven’s heir wouldn’t be a simple one. Especially if Steven planned to stick around them.
"Should I at least let him know?" Sebastian contemplated this but then shook it off. "I believe finding out on his own will be the best."
Not for any grand reason but because he needed to sort the things Noah left on his desk before actually thinking of worrying about that side.
They would be fine on their own.
Just as Noah had no idea Steven had followed him to Manchester, he had no idea there was a tail on him this whole ti.
He was too busy with his own thoughts, and he asked confidently that he had evaded Sebastian’s suspicion, so no one would follow him.
But he seed to have forgotten that his close confidant wasn’t the only one who could follow him.
Steven had definitely watched his movents and knew where this secret lover of his was and how to approach.
It was very simple.
Noah told Michael how he decided he could no longer stay without seeing them after he got Olivia’s email and heard her voice for the first ti.
The longing was just so much that he could not help but run.
After all, the only issue left was the joint program between the two packs.
It wouldn’t go to shambles if he were away for a month or two.
And since there were no more threats, he could take Michael back with him whenever he was ready to leave.
Michael heard this and sighed, hugging Noah.
"I’m just glad I can be with you again." That was the conclusion he ca to after everything Noah had said.
In fact, none of it had anything to do with him. So long as he could be with Noah, the world could be at war for all he cared. The safest place to be was in Noah’s arms anyway.
"I’m also glad," Noah said, kissing his hand. "I can be with you and our daughter."
And then, Michael noticed the ring he was wearing. Wasn’t that the black silver ring he got him for Christmas?
"That ring..." He said and Noah looked at the ring, smiling as he said,
"Why? Does it look familiar?"
"Hm, I don’t know. It looks like sothing I got five years ago. It looks so good on you." Michael explained as he faked examining the ring on his finger.
"You have such great eyes. The one who got it for definitely knew what would suit well. It even has a little wolf carving. Isn’t it great?"
They both laughed, indirectly complinting Michael for the ring he gave Noah those years ago.
"What about the bracelet?" Noah asked and Michael pretended to think.
"What bracelet?" He asked and they fell silent. Surely Noah knew Michael wouldn’t forget about the bracelet because it signified a lot of things but just thinking Michael might’ve forgotten about it made him feel sore.
"Did you...?"
"Gosh, look at you looking so serious," Michael laughed. "Unlike the fact that you can do just about anything when wearing a ring, I can’t wear a bracelet everywhere so I kept it in a safe place." He smiled, pinching Noah’s cheeks. "There’s no way I would forget about sothing so important."
Hearing this, Noah’s heart fell at ease and he kissed Michael’s cheek.
"You almost gave a fright." He said. "I knew it was impossible but I wondered. What if...?"
"There’s no what if." Michael said. "I already have so little of you to keep with . Why would I forget or throw away sothing so important from you?"
Michael leaned in and kissed his lips. It was a light kiss, but what started out light ended up getting deeper and deeper until they were ogling over each other’s bodies.
Any more than that and they would definitely end up in bed.
It had been a while since they had done it and held each other, so it wasn’t out of the question, but considering they had a child who could walk in any mont, they needed to be very careful.
"Hey, we got a new neighbor and..." Alyssa paused as she walked in on them kissing.
Her presence didn’t stop them from going hard at each other, but it was embarrassing for Alyssa to watch, so she decided to just walk away like she hadn’t seen anything.
Luckily, Olivia was sleeping again, since she didn’t sleep much, but she could wake up any mont, so Alyssa decided to go make sure she didn’t walk in on this scene.
Then, the next person who walked into the living room to behold this was Roland.
He stood at the door, chewing the gum in his mouth, and then turned around.
"Winter seems to be fast approaching. It’s getting quite chilly." He said, taking out a cigarette as he headed out.
Michael breathed hard and so did Noah. It had been a while but they still got it.
"This will have to do for now," Noah said, stroking his hair backwards. "You don’t want Olivia to walk in and see this, do you?"
"I’m supposed to be the one saying that. You’re the clingy one, rember?" Michael said, his face blushing hard.
"Hm, last I rembered, you were always one to initiate sex, and just now... You leaned in first. Admit it. I have more self-control than you do." Noah said, grinning and Michael bit his bottom lip.
Of course, he knew that.
Just a kiss and he was already horny.
He couldn’t help it.
Maybe it was because of his Female attraction. His Alpha was finally there. It was almost impossible to hold himself back any longer.
Any more and he might explode.
"Shall we head out tonight?" Michael suggested but as much as Noah wanted to, he wanted to have the first dinner with Olivia as well.
"How about this?" He brought up a suggestion.
They could all go out for dinner with Alyssa and Roland surveying from another table as usual. And then when it was ti to head back, they would head for a hotel with a suite.
If it was a suite then they could leave Olivia with Roland and Alyssa while they took another room and... Went about their business.
It was a great idea.
So, in the anti, to occupy their minds and stop them from being handsy with each other, Michael decided it was ti to exchange diaries.
Noah did not forget to bring his as well.
That, as well as his ID and passport and the clothes he was wearing when he got here, were the only things he carried when coming to Manchester.
He even had a first-class spot all to himself, and yet he had no luggage.
Just his phone, his wallet, his journal, and his passport all tucked in his coat.
