Laughter. And more waves of laughter.

Due to these sudden noises, Malaya abruptly awakened from her sleeping unconsciousness. Malaya decided to ignore it first and tried to go back to sleep. However, the strange noises of waves of laughter go on for more ti, causing Malaya to finally get annoyed.

'Who in the world is laughing at this mont? Seriously?! In the middle of the night?'' Malaya shifted to the right side of her bed and grabbed a pillow on her side to cover her head. Her eyes were still closed. 'Can't they see that soone is still sleeping here?'

That's when Malaya realized sothing. 'Wait what? Laughter?!' A sense of adrenaline surged inside her.

Her eyes were wide open as she took a seat in her bed with a jolt. In the midst of the darkness, those multiple eyes were staring at her as they continued laughing.

She was completely frozen in her place as those multiple dark orbs were jingling everywhere in her room. And they just laugh, laugh, and laugh.

'Why are these dark orbs here? Are they following us because they know or they can sense that we are not truly from here?'

'Ugh! If I speak, I'm dead. How can I get these things out? Or more like how can I escape here?'

Malaya tried to cover her ears. She felt like if she continued to listen to these waves of laughter and along with those creepy eyes, they would make her crazy. She could only hear more laughter and sohow it started to sound more like a kind of laughter of ridicule to her.

*Boom!*

The waves of laughter stopped when a sudden explosion resounded sowhere outside and the laughter completely changed to cries. And the room trembled since the explosion was extrely near to her place. 'An explosion? from the next room to this!'

"Wahh!" the dark orbs scattered around as if they were scared.

Malaya used this chance to slowly get out of her room. But to her surprise the flying dark orbs were also outside her room, no more like whenever she looked around, they were everywhere. But that was not the only thing she saw, in the room next to her, visible smoke was coming at the edges of its closed door.

"Malaya!"

"Malaya, are you alright?" Malaya turned around to see Lila running in her direction who looked scared and worried at the sa ti.. "I hear an explosion."

At the sa ti, the door of the other room burst, flying out and hitting the wall. It cracked into two pieces. The wails they were hearing only increased more as the black orbs beca ecstatic in their movents.

Kayden walked out of the room, and with a single dark fla sword in his hands, he swayed it into the air, where so of the floating dark orbs got incinerated and vanished.

Seeing this, Lila scread in horror! "Stop hurting them!" She ran to Kayden to stop what he was doing. But Kayden simply dodged to the left. And Lila fell right on the floor.

"They're dangerous." Kayden simply said with his usual poker face.

"No, they're not dangerous!" Lila yelled.

But it seed Kayden was dead set in obliterating all these dark floating orbs. When he was going to burn another of those floating dark orbs, this ti Malaya interrupted.

"Stop, Kayden." She said which instantly halted Kayden from attacking. Then she ran after Lila and helped her to stand up.

"They're dangerous. I still rember, back at the island, they kill anything that talks or makes loud noises." Malaya said while looking at the black floating orbs.

"No, they're not," Lila said, she sounded desperate telling this again. "Please don't hurt them. It seems you are misunderstanding sothing. They are not like what you think they are. Did they do sothing bad to the both of you? Are they killing you already when already talking to each other?"

Malaya fell into contemplation, 'well other than disturbing my sleep, back at the island, we outrun them but then those bats got killed grotesquely, then even when I first saw it, it didn't do anything to since I didn't speak anything. Then when I fell on the cliff, it just laughed. Now that I think about it, they caused any harm.'

Malaya glanced towards Kayden and the others also looked at her. As if reading each other's minds through so kind of telepathic communication, Kayden's dark sword disappeared, then he walked inside his room without saying anything as if nothing happened.

Lila sighed in relief, seeing that Kayden seed not going to attack these strange flying dark orbs. The flying dark orbs slowly disappeared as well and vanished into the thin air.

"Now tell , just what are those things?" Malaya asked as she looked back at Lila.

"Since it is morning already, care to join for a cup of so light breakfast? I'll tell you everything while we eat." Lila offered, this ti she had cald down as well.

Malaya glanced outside the window and all she could see was dark scenery. 'How can she tell that it was morning already? I thought it was still nightti. Does she have so clocks? I can ask her more while we are eating for breakfast.'

"Sure," Malaya answered in the end then as they walked towards the kitchen, she noticed the broken door. "Ah, your door, I apologize if it got broken. I will just pay or help you to fix it probably the room too."

"No, it's alright." Lila raised her hands to stop the worried Malaya. "Let's all do that after we have breakfast."

"I'll fix it."

Both Lila and Malaya looked at Kayden who ca out of the room once again. And walked towards the broken door. Then when they thought that he was going to pick the broken door, he extended his right hand above it and it instantly burned to ashes. Shocking the two girls especially Malaya.

"Why are you burning it instead of fixing it?!" scread Malaya in shock. If Rein nor Dorris this reaction of her, the always calm Malaya in their mind would shatter to pieces.

"It can't be repaired anymore. I'll buy new materials for construction." Kayden said.

'Crap, I lost my composure there.' Malaya cald down herself but Kayden's next words would surprise her once more.

"And wear so clothes, woman," Kayden said as he started heading in the opposite direction.

"Wait, what did you just say?!" Malaya looked at herself and thanked all the gods and goddesses she could think of. She thought she was naked, well how could that even happen in the first place when she wore her nightclothes just a simple white shirt and pajamas. 'Wait, this world is still very conservative that nightclothes is considered as an undergarnt in this world. Oh my, how indecent of .' An amused smile escaped Malaya's lips. 'But seriously this is already normal clothing for . I don't know that guy would care about such things. He always looks disinterested or unaffected in most things.'

"I'll change first, Lila." Malaya said as she went back to her room.

"Oh, so you still rember my existence..."

"Did you say sothing, Lila?" Malaya gazed back at Lila before she could turn the knob of her door.

"Do you have sothing to wear? I'll lend you more clothes."

'Ah right! How can I forget that I don't have any spare clothes.' Malaya smiled wryly at Lila. "Then if you don't mind, that would certainly increase my debt to you."

"Oh, no worries! I have plenty of unused clothes anyway!" Lila happily exclaid, "I'll go get it now." she ran in the direction of her room.

Malaya just smiles helplessly. "I really do owe her a lot now. But she looked more excited than ever." Then she went inside her room and waited for Lila there for a while. "I don't know how lucky I am to encounter such kind creatures in my life. I wonder how she was still all alone in this house. Hmm, maybe I should ask more about her life later."

After a few monts of waiting.

"I'm back!" Malaya's door burst wide open, revealing the excited Lila. Though she still had that scary appearance right now, she looked more like an excited child. 'Sotis there is so much more magic in the invisible eyes. She was so sweet and generous, her energy made the difference.'

Malaya looked at the bundles of clothes in Lila's hands. "Wait, are you sure about that? That is quite a lot of clothes."

"I know!" Lila said, excitedly. "I want to see to it that you will wear the best clothes! Let's play dress up!"

'Play dress up?' Malaya's smile faltered. 'Don't tell that's making her excited at this mont?'

"What do you..." before Malaya finished her sentence Lila dropped all the clothes in her bed then suddenly grabbed Malaya's hands toward the dresser room.

"No more excuses for you, young lady! And let's have more fun!" Lila said enthusiastically.
