Agent Helios and I quickly went to Agent Hades’ aid to shoo away the pesky flies thinking he was Ms. Hyerin. We surrounded him on both sides and pushed the perverts away. So of them stepped back with a simple glare, but so got angry.

"Do you know who I am?" one of the older ones shouted angrily. "How dare you interrupt my ti with the lovely lady! Once I find out your identities, you’re dead!"

’Really, huh? It should be the other way around. Once we find out everyone’s identities here, you’re all dood for participating in an illegal auction!’

Haah... How I badly wanted to say those words. But of course, I couldn’t, so I just shut my mouth and kept my intimidating gaze at them. Agent Helios did the sa. They could say all they want, we’re only doing our jobs.

"Tsk! Are you deaf? Make way!" another one pressured us.

"Please educate your servants, Ms. Hyerin. They surely don’t know who to guard you against."

"Yeah! We’re loyal clients. Anything you want, we’ll give it to you. Just say it."

Woah. What a load of sugar daddies—ugly ones at that, both in face value and personality.

Agent Hades acted uninterested and bored.

"Uhmm... I’m afraid I’m bored with the usual stuff," he said seductively, still in the perfect pitch of Ms. Hyerin. "What exciting things can you offer?"

"I recently bought a penthouse in the heart of Seoul," the younger one offered. "Take my hand, and it shall be yours."

W-What the—a whole penthouse just for a night with Ms. Hyerin?! Woah! These n surely have several loose screws in their heads.

"Ha-ha-ha," another one chuckled. "A penthouse? That’s so cheap. I bought a whole resort for the exquisite lady."

"How about a yacht of your own?"

"Or a luxurious car that is worth more than a penthouse or a resort?"

On and on, they offered her luxury over luxury. But Agent Hades remained apathetic to their offers. They were pretty much useless, really, since there’s no way he would go with them.

There was only one thing we were hoping to get in this useless conversation—intel. What else could they offer that goes beyond the legal? We already guessed earlier that n would flock to Ms. Hyerin, so we thought of using this opportunity to gain more info about the guests.

Soon enough, one daring man offered sothing we had been wanting to hear.

"How about sothing that can make you earn more than all those properties combined?"

Agent Hades looked in his direction with a hint of interest in his siren eyes. The daring man approached him slowly. As he got nearer, his beautiful appearance beca more adamant. His black mask barely let us a hint of his facial features but judging by his sharp jaw, well-shaped nose, and mouth, he was probably good-looking. Another celebrity, perhaps?

"And what is that sothing?" Agent Hades asked in an alluring way, deliberately trying to seduce the man.

"Hm. I’m afraid it’s quite confidential. I prefer discussing it with the two of us alone."

Agent Hades smirked and gazed at him using Ms. Hyerin’s fatal gaze, mostly known as the "Siren’s Trap". He locked eyes with him, slowly blinking and looking down at him. To any man’s eyes, that look would be truly hot and very much seductive. Then, his lips curved in a mischievous grin.

After that, he replied...

"You should know I’m not just a pretty face, right?"

"Of course, Ms. Hyerin. Everyone knows that."

"In that case, it’s either my terms or it’s not happening at all."

The daring man chuckled.

"I don’t think it’s wise we discuss it here in front of many potential stealers of ideas," he answered, still maintaining his calm deanor.

"I didn’t say we’ll discuss it here."

"Then, do you agree to set a private eting with ?"

"Only if my bodyguards are with ."

"But they, too, can be considered as potential—"

"Nuh-uh," Agent Hades shook his head and waved her forefinger. "Again, it’s my terms, or it’s not happening at all."

"Hmm... That is such a hard request."

"In that case, feel free to go."

At those words, the daring man was taken aback.

"The mont you approached ant that YOU needed ," Agent Hades added. "Probably to advertise whatever that is, or whatnot. And that would require ti and effort, which I’m not sure if I have the energy to do. anwhile, I already have access to loads of treasures without even lifting a finger right at this mont. So it’s either I choose the treasures in front of without breaking a sweat or go with your proposal that will definitely require more of . It’s not my loss. It’s yours."

Hearing those words, the daring man laughed.

"Ha-ha-ha! As expected of Ms. Hyerin. Indeed, you cannot be easily fooled. I like that," he said with a smile, looking so content. "Alright then. I shall succumb to the siren and accept your terms. Let know when you wish to discuss it, though I suggest we do it now while the event hasn’t started. It won’t be long, I promise."

Agent Hades grinned evilly.

"Hmm... Sure. Let’s hear it."

And so, we followed the daring man towards a private room outside the event hall. For so reason, the staff just let us through and even guided us towards a silent spot, far from all the noise in the event hall.

The private room where we went to was huge and designed just like a Victorian-era drawing room where guests were usually received. The only difference was that it looked ominous for so reason, and security was really tight as well.

"This is as far as you can go," one of the guards said, stopping us from proceeding any further than a ter away from the entrance door.

Agent Helios and I stopped as told and moved to a free spot on the side while watching Agent Hades walk elegantly towards the couch, following the daring man who hadn’t introduced himself yet.

As they walked towards the couch, I noticed Agent Hades looked back at Agent Helios and nodded as if they were signaling each other through gazes. Was this what he whispered to him earlier? Hmm... I wonder what that was. It’s making so curious.

Aside from that, I had another question that still lingered in my mind. At the port, when it was ti for us to present our invitation card, I rembered Agent Helios touching the card and examining it with his fingers. It wasn’t working at first, but after he did that, the scanner suddenly worked. That only ant there was sothing he activated, right? Or sothing else he figured out regarding the secret code that those invitations had. If not for that, we wouldn’t have been able to get inside.

Ugh. I have so many questions, but I couldn’t just ask them right away. How great it would be if I could think the sa way they do. We had access to the sa things, but I couldn’t co up with conclusions as deep as theirs.

That’s right. I had always taken pride in being the Top 2 agent in Mythos for three consecutive years now. But looking at how Agent Hades worked... knowing more things that I do, who was supposed to be Agent Helios’ partner for this mission... I guess he was right when he said that Agent Hades truly was a better agent than .

All these years... the only reason I remained on the second spot was simply because he liked the third spot because of the number three. How ridiculous was that? Hah. Damn it!

As I watched them talk, give signals as if they had the sa mind, and act with great chemistry, I was reminded once again of all the things I was lacking. The gap in our skills was so vast.

What in the world did I miss that they managed to see and observe in just a blink of an eye?

What was it that I didn’t understand? Or perhaps, didn’t hear clearly?

How did they manage to co up with such decisions and conclusions in just a small amount of ti?

Indeed, being an agent requires us to be alert all the ti, think fast, and act fast—sothing I thought I was already good at, but turns out... I was just average as compared to the real geniuses.

Ughhh... I’m suddenly feeling so pessimistic. I shouldn’t think like this when we’re still out in the field.

As my mind flooded with negativity, I felt Agent Helios nudge the back of my hand with his finger. Thanks to that, I was pulled back to reality.

I turned to him briefly and smiled.

’Haaah... If only we were not on a mission, I’d like to hug and kiss him right now. But we can’t possibly do that with all these people here.’

But then, Agent Helios leaned to my ears to whisper sothing...

Or so I thought.

With his hand as a cover, he sneaked in a kiss on my cheeks!

’W-What the...’

"Don’t look too sad, my dear wife."
