It was afternoon at that ti, and we had just finished having lunch when our smartwatches notified us of new intel about our next target. As soon as we received it, Agent Helios and I decided to take our ti to review the docunts thoroughly. We quickly went to the eting room in the basent where our Mythos computers were and reviewed it together.
"Hm? You changed the design of the eting room," I said as I entered the room. "It’s more... cozy now."
Truly, it was. The eting room in the basent used to be the usual ones we find in Mythos—business-looking, minimalistic, simple. But now, it looked as cozy as the huge library upstairs.
The round table and swivel chairs that used to be at the center of the room were replaced with a glass coffee table and comfortable-looking but luxurious couches with pillows on them. Bricks and woods replaced the simple gray walls with a modern fireplace embedded in the wall. There were also shelves with books, cabinets with lamps on them, flowers in vases, paintings, and a little coffee corner.
It was as if the eting room was turned into a library—except that the huge monitor was still on the far center part of the room, our laptops were ready on the coffee table, and other Mythos devices that we might need while conducting the intel review were all there as well.
"Yeah," Agent Helios nodded. "I had my people change them a bit."
"Why?" I asked, a little curious about the sudden change.
"How about you sit down here first," Agent Helios said as he tapped on the seat beside him on the couch. "Co now, my dear wife. Sit here beside ."
I squinted my eyes at him.
"You’re not planning sothing funny, are you? Rember, we’re back on the mission now, so we don’t have ti to flirt."
"Don’t worry, I’m not. I’m a serious and diligent husband, you know."
"Really?"
I then walked towards him and sat beside him, carefully observing what he would do next. To my surprise, as soon as I sat down, he laid down on the couch and used my thighs as his pillow!
"So this is your plan, huh?"
Agent Helios grinned so mischievously.
"Yes, my dear wife. I think I will be more productive this way."
"Who becos productive after laying down on a couch? You might as well fall asleep while reading like that."
"You can wake up if that happens."
"Hey! Take this a little seriously."
"I am. Who says I’m not?"
"You don’t look like you are."
"How about you keep quiet and just let be?"
"Just let you fall asleep, is that it?"
Agent Helios pursed his lips, obviously starting to get annoyed at . There’s no way I’m letting him work like that.
"Get up there before I push you."
"No," he stubbornly disagreed.
"What the—"
I tried to pull him up, but he stopped .
"Please, my dear wife, just let be. I promise I won’t fall asleep."
"That’s—ughhh... Fine. Whatever."
It was useless arguing about sothing so simple. Let’s see if you really won’t fall asleep or get lazy or whatnot.
And so, we started reviewing the details from the intel. My blood boiled as I continued reading them—leads and possible trails about kidnapping cases, connections to gambling houses and casinos, prostitution sites, and so much more. Ugh. These criminals were truly a trendous pain in the ass.
Hours passed as we reviewed the docunts. I used my Mythos tablet to segregate the information from the most important ones to the least until the whole docunt I was working on was filled with circles, squares, and x’s, with notes on them and arrows leading from one place to another. I got too absorbed in studying it that I didn’t notice how long it had been until the clock on the wall sounded.
"Huh? It’s six o’clock already?" I asked myself as my eyes peered at the wall clock.
I then glanced at Agent Helios, who was still lying down on my lap, to see if he was still awake.
"I knew it. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk."
I clicked my tongue in disappointnt.
He fell asleep.
Ughhh. What a liar. I shouldn’t have believed him. Look at that peaceful sleeping face as if we didn’t have a mission to work on.
Pissed off, I freed both my hands by laying down the tablet and the pen on the couch and prepared my fingers to pinch his cheeks. With great strength, I squeezed his cheeks until they were red!
"Awww! That hurts," Agent Helios soon woke up from the pain. "S-Stop it."
"Who said they’re not falling asleep, huh? You liar."
"Ehhh... But your thighs felt so comfortable that I just happened to fall asleep."
"Oh, you’re putting the bla on now, huh?"
Agent Helios got up and rubbed his eyes as he listened to nag him—or maybe, he wasn’t even listening. Shortly after that, he looked at and hugged .
"What the—what are you doing? Don’t be lazy and review the files with !"
But he didn’t listen and instead kissed ! The audacity of this guy!
"I SAID... review the files with ! Not flirt you—"
"Co on, don’t be angry," he said as he kissed , pecking on my lips over and over. "I’m awake now, so I’ll review it again."
"You better! Or else—"
He returned to hugging and leaned his head on my shoulder.
"Ahhh... cuddles are nice," he whispered and closed his eyes.
"You’re sleeping again! Stop that and wake up! It’s evening already! You can sleep later, but finish this first."
"But I don’t like sleeping at night," he replied, slowly opening his eyes and smiling. "I’d rather we spend it on a hot and steamy way."
ASDFGHJKL...
That’s it. My patience had been exhausted.
With my mouth shut and my face back to my resting b*tch face, I pushed him away and got up on the couch, bringing my tablet and pen with .
"My dear wife, where are you going?"
Agent Helios quickly grabbed my arm and pulled back on the couch with him, making sit between his legs, with his arms wrapped around .
"Let go of ! I’m telling your people to return this eting room back to how it was. You obviously can’t work in this condition."
"Eh? But it’s so perfect like this."
I glared my eyes at him. He wasn’t taking seriously, was he?
"Do you think I’m joking, Jeon Eun-Woo?" I uttered his na with great emphasis.
"Oops," he chuckled. "Did I piss off my dear wife?"
"You think you don’t?"
"Don’t worry. I’m already done reviewing it."
"Lies!"
"Go on. You can ask ," he replied so confidently. "But for every answer I got right," his lips curved into an evil smile, "would be the number of tis we’ll do ’it’ tonight."
...
’Relax, Kim Ye-Ji. Inhale. Exhale.’
...
"Oh, and that’s not all," he added, still smiling like the devil. Then, leaning into my ears, he whispered, "You’ll also let c*m inside you."
...
Since when did he NOT release it inside? The answer was NEVER!
With my blood boiling in so much anger, I glared nacingly at him.
"Do you want to die, Jeon Eun-Woo?"
"Ha-ha-ha! You’re so cute when you’re angry, my dear wife. It’s your fault, though. You don’t believe that I’m already done reviewing it. So, what do you say? Wanna bet on it?"
How could he have reviewed it when all he did was sleep? I was only sure that he was up for the first hour or two since he was still moving and changing positions. But I’m sure he was already asleep after that! How could he review a super detailed paper with around a hundred pages in just an hour and morize its content? That’s impossible!
’He’s bluffing. Definitely bluffing. Then, he’ll take ti to review them later tonight when I’m asleep.’
Thinking that, I crossed my arm and scoffed at him.
"Sure. Let’s bet on it. If you don’t answer all of my questions correctly, you’re getting a punishnt, my DEAR husband."
"Aww... so sweet. My dear wife is calling husband for the second ti on her own accord."
He acted cutely, as if deliberately annoying .
’Hah! Let’s see how long you can smile like that.’
And so, I asked him TEN extrely difficult questions that couldn’t possibly be known unless he truly read the docunts. From nas of our targets and leads, the intel gathered on each like who their family was, nas, ages, addresses, likes and dislikes, to questions on recent places they visited, people they interacted with, and so much more.
’Ha-ha-ha! Let’s see if you get those right! Just one miss, and I’m gonna give a punishnt from hell, my dear husband!’
I wrote all the questions down on a paper—to make sure he wouldn’t cheat—and he answered them using nothing but a pen. No other resources of info or whatever were with him since I also took his phone and smartwatch from him, all while carefully observing his actions.
Tik. Tok. Tik. Tok.
Half an hour passed, and he was done answering them. I quickly grabbed the paper from his hands and checked every single answer. A great smile covered my face as I checked them.
But then... that smile soon faded.
’What the f*ck. So... he wasn’t lying when he said he had already finished reviewing it? How in the world did that happen? Did he have access to the intel way before we received it? Did he use so tricks? Did he—’
"Cat got your tongue, my dear wife?" Agent Helios teased with his irritating voice.
He then lifted my chin and kissed sweetly.
"Rember the deal, my dear wife."
Agent Helios smirked so evilly, and in a whisper, he said...
"That’s TEN tis for you tonight."
I’m dood.
