Helion looked at her mother with Lady Yarin and so palace attendant with them.
His mother looked mad, and he knows why, but he doesn’t care.
He had reached his limit being her understanding son.
"Helion!" Helion didn’t even bother standing up, while Jarnus and Ernie greeted her.
"Your Majesty..." Jarnus and Ernie said as they greeted his mother.
"What was it, Mother?" Helion asked as he looked at his mother coldly.
"What?" the empress said as she looked shocked at what he said.
"We all ca over here, and then you’re just going to ask what?" she continued as she faced him.
"Then you shouldn’t have co here if you are here just to nag at ," Helion said as he looked at her uninterested.
"You! Why are you being difficult now?" His mother said as she raised her hand in the air in frustration.
"Am I or you?" Helion asked as he looked at her.
His mother sighed as a sign of defeat.
"I was not here to argue with you, okay?" she said as she sit in one of the sofas, and Lady Yarin also followed her, which made Helion frown at her.
The lady who saw that he frowned sat quietly and she looked at him timidly.
"I brought Lady Yarin here today at the palace for you to get to know each other." His mother started to talk again, and she even had ti to smile at Lady Yarin, who also smiled back at her before looking at him and blushing.
"I told you, Mother, I already love soone and if you can’t respect that and keep pushing to the edge... How do you expect to respect you back?" Helion said as he looked at his mother dangerously.
"And who do you love? Lady Acantha? That woman doesn’t even have any emotions on her face except when she was mad! And besides, she has a really bad reputation and even talks back to !" His mother said as she raised her voice and even grimaced when she ntioned Acantha’s na.
"That’s because you keep on just looking for her flaws and turning a blind eye to her good side." He talked back while he was clenching his fists, trying to cool himself to avoid making any ss.
"Good side? That girl was born evil. It was unfortunate for my best friend to give birth to soone evil like her." His mother didn’t back down on talking back at him, which made Helion punch the table so that it split into two.
The ladies, including his mother, scread when he did it.
"You!" His mother said as her eyes widened at what he just did.
"I told you Acantha wasn’t evil... She was even the one who cured you, so how dare you accuse her of such things?" Helion asked as he looked at his mother, who was gritting her teeth in anger.
"Cured ? Isn’t she also the one who made fall into a deep slumber while having so nightmares?" she said as she stood up and yelled at him.
"I was only making everything straight. If you don’t want to marry Lady Noraya, then marry sobody else, and here is Lady Yarin. She was also noble by birth and was rich enough; you can marry anyone, just not Lady Acantha," She said or more like she yelled at him.
"Just like your mother, if it isn’t Acantha then no one else," Helion said as he looked at his mother.
"Your Majesty... It’s okay if His Highness didn’t want to get married now; I will wait for him to open his heart for ," Lady Yarin said to his mother as she comforted her.
Helion looked at her.
"What did you just say?" He snapped at what he heard from her.
"I-I could wait for you, Your Highness," Lady Yarin said as she stood up and even went closer to him.
Helion couldn’t control his anger and he sent the lady flying back to where she was sitting a while ago.
"Helion!" His mother shouted as she looked at the lady who was wincing at the pressure she felt when she was thrown back to her chair.
"How could you do this to a lady? I never raised you to be like that!" His mother said as she comforted the lady back.
"But I was raised to fight, Mother... and on the battlefield there was no man or woman..." Helion said as he looked at them.
He respected won, but only those who had so self-respect and those who didn’t try to ss with him.
He had known the kinds of Lady Yarin. If she could fool everybody but not him.
He knew that the baron sent his daughter here to marry him, as they were already struggling financially.
And besides, she was the one who ssed with Acantha, as he heard from Jarnus and Ernie, who was left there to gather so information about what happened that day.
A noble?
No, they only inherited their title because the old baron, who was the uncle of the baron now, died childlessly.
And Lady Yarin was born in the slums too; her father was the bastard son of the late baron’s brother, who also died along with his family.
The baron that everyone knows who made the Yarin wealthy was not the current baron; it was the forr baron who just died five years ago.
The yarin family went back to the south again about 3-2 years ago and built their business; they even stole so business partners from the others who was also doing the sa business as them.
"Why are you being so rebellious now?" His mother said and she even pointed her finger at him.
"Why don’t you ask yourself?" Helion said as he stood up and walked his way to the door.
"And Mother, I am warning you... As your son, stop what you were doing and stop ddling with my affairs, especially when it concerns my marriage and who to love," Helion said as he walked out the door and left his mother with her attendants.
-------------
Acantha knocked on the door to give respect to the emperor.
"Your Majesty..." she said as soon as she opened the door.
"Have a seat, Lady Acantha..." the emperor said as he pointed her to the chair in front of him.
Acantha followed what he told her to do and sat in the chair in front of him.
"Is there anything you wanted from , Your Majesty?" she asked, as she didn’t want to beat around the bush.
"I summoned you here as I heard you were involved with so incidents last night between my wife, the empress, and the crown prince," the emperor said as he put both of his hands on his desk.
And there she thought that she would be spared from the dramas, and yet...
"There’s no reason for to deny it, and besides, Her Majesty seems to hate my presence so that every ti we crossed our path, she always had a reason to insult and bring up my dead mother’s na," Acantha said as she looked at the emperor’s eyes.
His eyes that Helion inherited.
The emperor chuckled a little bit at what she said, and he seed to whisper sothing in the air, but Acantha didn’t catch what it was.
"The real reason I summoned you here is I am curious about you, Lady Acantha," the emperor said as he looked at her, looking amused at her.
"What about ?" Acantha asked emotionlessly, which made him chuckle.
"You are really your father’s daughter. I was really curious about you ever since I had seen how powerful you are," the emperor said as this ti he looked normal.
"I was wondering when you got this strong. Not even your mother was this strong, but then again, I rembered that you ca from the two powerful houses that receive so blessings." He continued as he sighed.
"But that’s not just it. How could a lady who just gained her power hide the two territories from everyone? How can a lady cure even the worst injuries and curses?" He said as he looked at her like he was eyeing her soul.
"I tried asking my son, but his mouth was mum. My son, who was the crown prince of this empire, who used to report everything to and never hide anything started doing the opposite," he said as he sighed while he looked at his window, where there was a bird that was playing there.
"I was really curious what secrets you two might have been hiding all this ti." He looked at her again.
"And now my best friend, who was supposed to be dead, was very much alive." The emperor continued as he stood from his chair and walked at her back.
"This is beyond what a human with blessings can do; not even our high priest could do those things you did," he said as he stopped walking, which made her turn to him.
"Who are you really? Or What are you?" The emperor asked her as he looked in her eyes.
