"Lily. It’s all because of Lily!" I burst out raw, fists clenching tight in my lap—ssy waves curtaining my flushed face as old resentnts boiled over, hot and jagged.

It was because of her—those bastards were hurting . Also, it was my predecessor who forced into this situation.

Ivory looked at with probing eyes, dark and unreadable like storm clouds gathering—leaning forward slow, chili-tang pheromones sharpening keen. "What has this had to do with Lily?"

"They like her. All of them—Felix, Kien, even my stepbrother Alexei. He likes her too," I spat bitter, erald stare flashing wounded, rubbing my bruised-feeling wrist harder—mories of their glares and words—cutting deeper than any fist.

I am person who believes in kindness—from the mont, I stepped into this world—I haven’t hurt anyone or did anything wrong to anyone.

"They like the sa oga?" Ivory murmured low, brows arching sharp surprise, her blazer creasing as she processed it, full lips parting thoughtful. "This isn’t anything that I have heard before."

"Yes! And they bully because of her!" I cried, voice cracking desperate, shoulders hunching under the weight of their shared disdain, thunder crashing ominous outside like accusatory applause. See! Even the nature agrees with !

"I see," she rumbled thoughtful, dark eyes softening fractionally, fingers drumming rhythmic on her knee. "Has Lily troubled you before?"

"No, she hasn’t," I admitted reluctant, ponytail tendrils sticking to my damp neck. "But she dislikes too—always has, cold glances like I’m dirt under her heel." Well, we t once only—but I am sure she hates . Besides, I did owe her because she saved —but when she fraternized with my enemy... it was over.

I sighed internally. How many tis will I have to remind this to myself? Still, I feel that I owe sothing to her. Fine, I will send so Helly Paws rchandise to her. Maybe then I will good about myself.

"Why?" Ivory pressed gentle but relentless, her tangy scent coiling closer, enveloping in that warmth. She was really a good person.

"Because I used to stalk her," I confessed halting, cheeks flaming scarlet—my predecessor stalked her, that obsessive ghost haunting my skin, choices I’d never made but wore like chains. I want to bitch slap the OG Emily for this! Couldn’t she find anyone else? That eunuch bitch wanted to eat a ripe mango even though she had no teeth.

Wait?

If OG Emily stalked Lily, then she must be straight. I an, ’ABO’ straight—so, why turn yourself into an eunuch? This was a bit confusing for . Or maybe... she was bisexual. Whatever, she’s gone now. And I am a ’swordless’ knight.

"Understood?"

"You stalked her?"

"You?" Ivory laughed sudden and bright, a rich lody bursting free—head tipping back, locs swaying as her perfect teeth flashed, eyes crinkling joyful mischief.

"Don’t laugh!" I wailed mortified, pouting fierce, erald eyes bulging wide as I swatted her arm playful—heat flooding my face hotter than the chili burn in her aura.

"Sorry," she gasped still chuckling, dark eyes dancing wicked, one manicured hand pressing her plush lips to stifle it—though her shoulders shook betraying. "But the image is too funny—little alpha you, creeping after an oga like so lovesick pup."

"Please don’t laugh, Ivory," I pleaded small, voice wobbling half-genuine, half-teasing—rubbing my kissed knuckles absent again.

"Well, you like her, don’t you?"

"I don’t like her."

"You don’t?" Ivory asked, her voice lilting with sudden delight—for so reason, pure happiness lit her dark eyes like sunrise breaking storm clouds, full lips curving into a grin that crinkled joyful lines at the corners.

Why the hell does she look so happy?

"Yes, I hate her and I don’t like her at all," I affird fierce, erald stare blazing unapologetic through my ssy waves—fists unclenching finally.

"Really?" she pressed, happiness radiating off her in warm waves, leaning closer conspiratorial—chocolate skin glowing animated under the chandelier, locs swaying as she bit her plush lip giddy, manicured fingers twitching like she wanted to fist-pump the air.

"Yes!" I shot back emphatic, pouting stubborn but lighter now, her joy infectious despite myself.

"Are you dating anyone?" Ivory asked casual, though her dark eyes glead curious. She had a playful expression on her face.

"No," I answered blunt, erald stare steady despite the flush creeping back up my neck—ssy waves framing my face like a wild halo, thunder rumbling low agreent outside the rain-lashed windows.

Why was the nature agreeing to this? I am feeling like a failure. A eunuch failure, to be exact.

"Well, I guess my work here is done," she sighed theatrical, rising smooth to her full height—blazer settling commanding over her curves, manicured hand brushing a sleek loc behind her ear. "Thank you for your ti, Emily."

"You’re going?" I blurted quick, half-rising from the couch—heart lurching reluctant at the thought of her leaving, foyer shadows lengthening as rain sheeted harder against the panes.

I wanted to bond her with her more. I believe that Ivory and I will be good friends in the future.

"Yes, my work is over," Ivory confird firm but amused, grabbing her forgotten coffee cup with a teasing wink—full lips quirking like she knew exactly the effect she had.

"It’s raining outside," I protested insistent, gesturing at the downpour drumming relentless on the roof, wind howling feral through the eaves.

"So?" she shot back playful, arching a brow challenging—chocolate skin glowing defiant under the chandelier, her tangy scent lingering like a promise.

"Wait until it clears," I urged softer, stepping closer unthinking—it was the sa feeling when Hellen or Reys left alone. To be honest, I want them to stay with at my house.

"Are you trying to bribe an officer on duty?" Ivory teased low and velvet, dark eyes sparkling wicked mischief as she paused at the foyer archway, broad shoulders filling the space magnetic.

"Maybe," I admitted shy, cheeks warming rose again—then spun decisive toward the kitchen. "Wait here. I’ll make so pancakes—warm, fluffy stacks dripping syrup, the kind that lt tension away."
