The sound of tal hitting glass filled the now quiet ballroom. Everyone turned to look up at the king who was now standing near the balcony railing.

"Today marks the introduction of our young ladies into society, and it also marks the beginning of my youngest son’s engagent to the saintess. As the king....."

I tuned out whatever he was saying. Most of it was just self-praise and raising the church’s prestige even more. If the crown accepts the church so of the nobles might just join their side.

The king finished his speech and both the prince and the saintess ca down from his side and stood in the middle of the dance floor. The orchestra started.

I had to admit they were a beautiful pair, golden and white. As they twirled around the dance floor, the saintess princess’s gown flared around.

"Do you want to dance again?"

I leaned in and asked Seraph over the loud music. People had started to join the dance with the two couples in the middle.

"No, I’m done walking around the room or sothing if you’re bored ."

Seraph waved off and walked towards her friends who were looking at us. I took a glass of red wine, squeezed through the crowd, and left the ballroom.

The music faded as I walked further into the ballroom and stepped into a rose maze. Since I had no one to talk to except prospective won looking for marriage, it was better to just walk around the garden.

It was said that people hot lost in the maze most of the ti.

"The moons are brighter today."

I said out loud looking at two full moons. I sat on a small bench and took a sip of the wine.

My eyes caught a glint of light moving fast towards , and I threw the glass of wine in that direction. It shattered loudly in the air before a small needle landed on my foot.

I picked it up and raised it to the moon.

"You want to use zelph flower on now, how ironic. "

A few more needles shot towards , but none of them got near . The defense spell shimmied softly in the moonlight with each hit.

"Where are my flowers?"

A cold and sultry voice ca.

"Dark elves really blend well into the night."

I stood up and walked in the direction the voice was coming from. The woman stepped into the light before I could reach her. Her black painted lips were raised in a sneer.

"Where are my flowers?"

Her grey eyes looked at as though I were a re insect. She probably thought I was. Her dark grayish skin glowed against the light, paired with a maroon magician’s robe.

"Miss Anne or whatever your na is, you didn’t think you could trick right?"

I had recognised her the mont she approached at the library. I had been there too many tis, but she’d never even cast a glance at , but suddenly she wants to be my teacher. Only a fool would fall for that.

"How did you even know that. The illusion was perfect ."

She said thoughtfully.

"The problem is that the real Miss Anne never approached students ."

She burst into laughter before a dagger was shot towards . I caught it just before it pierced through my neck. I leaned back the light crystal casting a long shadow as her kick swept over the place my head had been.

"That was very rude we were just talking."

She disappeared leaving behind a shimring purple spell circle. A sword appeared above before a body followed as she sliced down.

It hit the shield, which repelled her, causing her to fly backwards. She landed perfectly using the sword as a clutch to prevent her from hitting the ground. Her organised short silver hair scattered around.

"What’s your na? You haven’t introduced yourself."

I asked curiously.

"Only the dead know my na."

She answered coldly. Several spells appeared next to , and daggers shot out of them. They only hit the shield and bounced back.

Her eyes widened in surprise.

"Why don’t we have a civilised talk then?"

She sneered again.

"Tsk.. You think I’m that stupid ."

She flashed towards fist wrapped in blue flas raised.

"Not my face, that’s my selling point."

They caught the fist that was aiming for my face. She tried to pull back but she couldn’t.

’Bind’

Chains wrapped around her struggling form as she looked up at angrily. A spell appeared above before it cracked and broke into pieces.

"My magic.."

Her already pale skin went paler as her widened eyes looked at in horror.

I smiled calmly.

"What did you do to ?"

She whispered harshly as she tried to activate her spells in panic, the earlier bravado gone.

"Nothing much.."

"Lucian.."

Seraphs call cut off. I turned to see her standing on one of the balconies looking down at , her eyes glowing in anger. She probably thought I was franchising with another woman.

I knocked the elf out and turned to luna who was standing by the flowers.

"Give her to Donovan he should be outside the palace. "

Luna nodded and picked up the tied elf. I watched until she disappeared before turning to Seraph, who was still looking at .

"Stay there. "

I levitated to the balcony. I landed behind her, and she turned to look at , her arms crossed. My eyes went down to her breasts that were pushed out further by this action.

"Can you stop being a deviant for once and just sit still?"

Her voice felt like music to my ears despite the anger in it.

"I can’t help it."

I pulled her into my arms which she willingly fell into. Her hands ca and wrapped around my neck.

"Why were you outside the ballroom?"

"I was bored, you left alone. I unfortunately do not have a social life."

I whined pitifully. It seed she didn’t see the elf or was going to fully ignore it. I leaned down and took her lips.

Her hands went into my hair as we licked, bit, and enjoyed each other’ss taste and saliva. I just wanted to spread her on this balcony at this mont and pound into her relentlessly with no care.

My hands moved down to her buttocks as I started to pull her dress up. She spread her legs wider and leaned back.

I separated from her lips and started to kiss down her neck, licking a small sweat that had dried on her skin.

"Soone coming."

On cue frantic footsteps filled the hallway outside before the door pushed open. Seraph released her hold around, but I didn’t. I just lifted my head and pressed her further onto the balcony.

I let her dissary dress fall back into place. Her swollen lips were the only evidence left of our endeavours.

"Young master lucian I’ve been looking for you everywhere."

I sighed heavily and glanced behind at the girl in white.

"Can I help you with sothing, saintess. "

I asked irritated. I was almost at the end of my rope with this girl. She just can’t seem to get the ssage. Her eyes lowered before they widened a smug smile curving on her face.

"I didn’t know you were also engaged, young master. Which noble lady is this?"

I chuckled at her attempt. The guests who were passing by stopped at her words clearly looking for gossip. I hated attention. With the way we were standing my body fully covered my sisters.

"If getting engaged to my own sister is considered, I suppose I’ll be getting engaged. "

Seraph clicked and squeezed her way out of my embrace and smiled at the stunned saintess.

"I didn’t know conversing with my brother was considered improper. "

Seraph was taller than her so her cold and domineering voice was enough to make most of the onlookers step back. The saintess face went pale when she noticed her blunder.

"It’s understandable that the Saintess harbors such notions, first love has a way of stirring the mind before it learns the grace of restraint."

I said politely to the whispering crowd. Tears started to well up as her lips trembled in an attempt to restrain them, the perfect face to elicit pity.

"Keep the thoughts in your little brain locked, we wouldn’t want them gone."

I whispered into her ear and took Seraph’s hand, leaving the crowd that had started to gather around her.

She had probably co to rub it in my face about her engagent. The saint also seed to have missed his own sister’s engagent.

How unfortunate.

"It’s about ti we leave, yes?"

I said to Seraph as we walked back to the ballroom. I looked towards the door and t Luna’s eyes, she nodded at before leaving the room.

We found Mother standing alone by the wine table, enjoying a glass of wine.

"Let’s go, we’ve shown our face enough."

The carriage ride ho was silent each one of us lost in our own thoughts. We had only spent three sand glasses at the party, but that was enough ti.

I could already imagine how the saintess was going to complain to the seventh prince. This was becoming too much of a hassle.

Maybe going back to the duchy would help clear my mind from all this drama.

I walked into my room and fell on the bed tired. Everyone didn’t seem in the mood to talk, even after our arrival. Mother seed busy, while Seraph was probably just stewing by herself.

"Should I give you a massage, master?"

Luna, who was standing beside my bed, asked.

"Certainly. "
