Following the direction of Cyclope with the whistle in his hand, Adrian slowly walked deeper into the park.

He could see the dust cloud rising nearby as the trees grew in density.

Moving faster, a familiar face appeared in front of him.

In the distance, the Cyclope was slowly moving toward the bloodied, battered Daisy, who was lying at the base of a smashed tree.

With each step the Cyclope took, the scent of death beca more palpable to Daisy.

Desperation and fear gripped her heart, making her breasts bounce up and down as if they would pop out at any ti.

She was struggling to breathe, finding it hard to draw a full breath.

The tallic scent of blood mixed with the earthy sll of the shattered tree assaulted her senses.

And finally, not being able to take it anymore in the face of her impending death, Daisy cried.

"Soone... anyone, please save ."

Her pleading cry echoed through the air, and her voice contained desperation.

But all she got in response was the sight of Cyclope extending his huge hand, preparing for an attack.

Daisy’s heart sank, and her body tensed up to get ready for the inevitable blow.

The situation was hopeless.

And so, with a deep breath, she closed her eyes, surrendering herself to the grim fate that awaited her.

In that mont, the world seed to have held its breath, and the air got heavy with the weight of the situation.

However, the pain Daisy expected never ca.

Instead, two strong arms enveloped her battered form, lifting her in a gentle yet firm embrace from the ground.

For a fleeting mont, she felt her body go weightless.

Swoosh!

A gust of wind brushed against her skin.

Rawaar!

The Cyclope’s furious, thunderous roar, behind her, got smaller by the second, and Daisy’s heart raced as she realized that soone, sothing, had saved her.

Slowly, out of curiosity, she opened her eyes.

Only to be greeted with that familiar, arrogant, and handso face, she had until a mont ago wanted to trample below her feet.

While jumping from tree to tree, feeling her gaze, he also gazed back at her in his arms.

Embarrassed by her sudden predicant, she opened her mouth without thinking.

"Ah... ungh!"

But before she could scream, his hand covered her mouth, muffling her voice.

"Shh! You can’t scream. If you did, everything would be over."

It was a dangerous situation that made Daisy extrely nervous, but when she saw him, heard him, and felt his strong arms holding her, she relaxed a little.

Daisy blinked to show that she understood, and he removed his hand that was covering her mouth.

But then, all of a sudden, a question popped up in Daisy’s head, and she couldn’t help but blurt it out.

"Why are you here?"

"I didn’t see you, so I ca to look for you."

To his quick, nonchalant reply, Daisy’s eyes widened like saucers.

’Bastard, weren’t you ignoring all the while? I thought you didn’t care about . But it seems like you actually do, hehe.’

A faint smile was drawn on her lips.

Despite her body screaming in pain, she felt good in her heart.

Adrian watched all of this, and though he couldn’t read her mind, he could guess at so of her feelings and thoughts from her changing expressions.

’Looks like the fish has taken the bait.’

Sinisterly grinning inside his mind, Adrian gently tightened his hold on her shoulders and accelerated his speed.

The Cyclope was still so distance away from them, destroying everything to find the prey it missed.

While Adrian ran straight in the opposite direction, he pretended to suppress the sound of his footsteps.

And he hid behind a tree, putting Daisy down from his arms and on the ground, leaning against the tree.

Her arms, thighs, and legs bones were still broken, and her clothes were tattered with blood clotting, but her skin injuries had already started to heal.

Having read the novel, Adrian knew exactly the reason for this developnt.

[Trait: Regeneration (C)]

A trait, he deeply wished he had for the upcoming Rachael’s awakening event.

But he knew that in the System’s store it was extrely expensive, and since Treasure Chest wouldn’t be there this ti, ’I can only pray that I get it as so special reward.’

While Adrian was lost in thoughts, opposite him, Daisy also had her own struggle going on within her head.

’Now that I know he likes , should I act cold? No, no, I can’t always be strict, right? He also saved my life, so...’

At last she reached a conclusion in her head, then struggled to open her lips, barely letting out two words.

"T-Thank you."

However, contrary to the sweet words she thought she would receive back, what she got was a cold reply.

"No need, I didn’t do it for you, but for myself."

"What does that an?" Daisy was perplexed.

"Simple, you ca with and are my responsibility, and so by saving you, I also saved myself from future hassle."

His words shattered Daisy’s ntality again.

’You an it doesn’t matter to you whether I die or not? Are you still playing tough?’

Thinking her thoughts were the truth, Daisy scolded him angrily.

"Don’t get full, Cough! Cough! Of yourself... I know you still like ."

"Wrong!"

To her surprise, Adrian’s reply was even colder this ti.

"I used to have feelings for you, but now I have understood how selfish of a person you are, and I have no desire to be used by you anymore."

He knew it was impossible to make her surrender herself just by being her prince charming.

Or even if she surrendered and got into a relationship serious enough to marry, she was a woman who would make her partner’s life hell.

That much wasn’t enough to carry out the plans he wanted.

Not to ntion, his sadistic tendencies wanted him to teach her a lesson.

’Wouldn’t it be good to break this bitch and make her cry and beg for my cock?’

There was a deep desire inside him that wanted to break her, and vent out everything his heart had been holding within it for so long.

After all, no matter how bad her personality was, but even he couldn’t deny that Daisy’s body was one of a kind.

The best he had seen in terms of figure, especially those lips, hips, and breasts.

At that mont, Daisy, who was really furious this ti, opened her mouth to yell at him.

"You...!" .

But before she could even complete the word, a sharp pain rose in her heart, and she let out an involuntary scream.

"Aaaaagh!!!"

’Bingo!’

Realizing that Daisy had been successfully cursed by Chaos, Adrian cheered in his mind.

But on the outside, he appeared flustered because of her screams, and quickly covered her mouth.

Witnessing his actions, Daisy also realized her blunder.

Unfortunately, it was already too late by then.

Raawwwar!

"Shit!"

The Cyclope had already heard her scream.

Thud!

Thud!

Roar!

From her location, Daisy could see the Cyclope approaching, swinging his fist wildly at any tree obstructing his vision and path.

The distance between them was closer than she thought.

It was a Level 25 Cyclope, and Daisy knew that for level 10 Hunters like them, it was an impossible monster to defeat.

A shudder ran down her body as she realized the bleak situation they were in.

"Ah.. ! Adrian."

Her swaying eyes turn his way.

Pretending to realize her concern, he held her hands tightly to soothe her anxious mind.

"Trust . I will never let you get hurt."

The tremors that spread throughout Daisy’s body gradually subsided after hearing his caring words in that strict voice that felt so gentle when it fell in her ears.

Subconsciously smiling lightly, she nodded her head.

"I believe you."

The distance between the Cyclope and them had narrowed a lot.

And without wasting any ti, Adrian picked her up and once again started running from tree to tree.

Even so, his eyes did not stop scanning the surroundings.

Quickly, he found the nearest exit, and imdiately rushed towards it.

"That way!"

He mumbled, barely enough for Daisy to hear, but in his mind, he gave order to the Cyclope.

’Punch!’

In an instant, following Adrian’s command, the Cyclope rushed towards them.

The ground shook with great intensity.

Quake!

And not a second later, in Daisy’s bloodied red vision, a huge fist that almost took her life earlier, appeared once again.

Considering her situation, if this punch even touched her, she knew she would certainly die.

When she realized that death was about to engulf her once again, her heart beat at an extrely rapid rate.

"Ugh... !"

But this ti, she didn’t close her trembling eyes.

No matter what the result, this ti she wanted to witness it with her own eyes.

Swoosh!

Ti stretched, and each passing second felt like an eternity as Daisy braced herself for impact.

However, just as the punch was about to hit her, at that last mont, a familiar, gentle voice fell in her ears.

"I said I would protect you, and I, Adrian, am a man of my words."

Whispering that in her ears, within a split second, Adrian rotated his body mid-air and got in the middle of the punch that was about to hit Daisy first.

BOOM!

The punch connected, and Adrian flew like a missile, taking the full brunt of the attack on himself.

Bang!

Directly crashing onto the ground.

’Fuck... !’

His skin on his hands was peeled, and he broke a few bones.

Nonetheless, his protective embrace of Daisy didn’t lessen for a bit.

’Coincidentally,’ the place they crashed was extrely near the exit.

"Ugh!"

Pretending to have just realized his situation, Adrian’s eyes took a firm look.

He released his mana, which had been tightly packed in his heart, and slowly poured it into his arms and legs.

Ignoring the screams of his muscles, he got up with Daisy in his arms, and started running again in that state.

"Suck!"

It was hard to even support his body alone, not to ntion that he was also carrying Daisy.

Fortunately for them, the Cyclope seed to have found a new target and had started another havoc behind them.

Taking advantage of this ti, with his limbs temporarily strengthened by mana, Adrian finally rushed towards the exit.

"Whoa, whoa...!"

And when he finally went there, as if with no strength left, he stumbled into a corner behind a tree.

So distance away from their location, he could hear the people outside of the park.

The muscles in his arms and legs were hot and sore, as if they were on fire.

"Adrian, are you okay?"

Daisy, who was in his arms, asked in a worried tone.

She had seen everything he did for her, and was biting her lips, her heart in turmoil.

"Yeah, yes."

Adrian replied, blood dripping from his lips.

He was staring at her, and Daisy, who was in his arms, was also hazily focusing on him.

Suddenly, he lowered his head, and she closed her eyes...

Their lips t in a gentle kiss.
