Villain Ch 1349. My Pawns

Allen strolled into the throne room, the sound of his boots echoing off the dark, cold stone floor. A whistle slipped past his lips, low and eerie, bouncing around the eerie silence of the Cursed Crypts. It wasn't a cheerful whistle. As he neared the throne, his avatar had already morphed back into his Devil Emperor form, his black and crimson armor glinting in the faint, flickering light.

Zoe and Vivian, seated casually near the massive eting table, turned at the sound of his arrival. Zoe's sharp eyes narrowed, and a sly smirk played at the corners of her lips. "Soone looks happy," she said, her tone teasing but laced with curiosity.

Allen didn't miss a beat, striding to his throne and sinking into it with a regal nonchalance. "Yeah," he said, his voice calm but edged with satisfaction. "They bought it."

"'They'?" Vivian asked, raising a perfectly arched brow. Her form leaned forward slightly, her tone dripping with intrigue.

"Elio, Gil, Red_King, Alexander, and Mastercraft?" Allen replied, his grin sharp. He rested one elbow on the armrest, his fingers tapping idly against his cheek. "They're convinced. Hook, line, and sinker."

Vivian humd thoughtfully, her lips pursed. "And Jas and Noah? Weren't they part of the mix?"

Allen shook his head. "No, those two are busy. Probably cleaning up after the event. You know… handling all the logistics and ensuring the press doesn't get their hands on anything they shouldn't."

Zoe crossed her arms and leaned back in her chair, her silver hair cascading over her shoulder. "Speaking of the event," she said, her tone more serious now, "the new duel device… Did you leave it overnight at the venue?"

Allen's gaze flicked to her, and a chuckle escaped his lips. "No way," he said, shaking his head. "That thing was back at the Goldborne mansion before the last guest even left. We're not that careless."

Zoe nodded, visibly relieved. "Good. I don't really trust Jas and Noah. Especially that Jas guy… Always seems a little too eager."

Vivian let out a soft laugh, her eyes glinting with amusent. "Agreed. Sothing about him screams opportunist."

Allen leaned back in his throne, his fingers lacing together. "Well, whether they're trustworthy or not doesn't matter. The device is safe, and the event went off without a hitch."

Zoe tilted her head. "Where are the others? Shea, Larissa, Bella, and Jane?"

"They're finishing their daily mission," Zoe said. "Sothing about culling a group of overconfident players who wandered into the wrong dungeon. What about you? Did you finish yours?"

Allen smirked. "Of course I did. I wouldn't show up here without having my to-do list checked off. Now we just wait for them to get back."

Vivian leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs and tapping her nails against the armrest. "Oh right, what about Mr. Bell?" she asked, her tone casual but her eyes sharp. "Are you going to take action yourself, or should I handle him the way I ntioned before?"

Allen smirked, his gaze flicking to her. "If I go to Mr. Bell without anything solid, he'll know I have an agenda. That's the last thing I want right now."

Vivian nodded, her expression thoughtful. "True. He's not stupid. He might be shaken by Sophia, but he's still clever enough to sniff out a trap."

Zoe crossed her arms, her brows furrowing slightly. "So what's the plan then? Leave him alone and let Sophia manipulate him into her ss? Or is there a play you're not telling us about?"

Allen chuckled, leaning forward in his throne. "Oh, there's always a play. I just need to make sure the timing is right. And Vivian," he added, his gaze shifting to her, "I might need your help. Especially if they call back for any modeling gigs at the agency."

Vivian tilted her head, intrigued. "Modeling? You'd actually do that again? You're a young master now, Allen. Surely there are better ways to spend your ti."

Zoe frowned, her eyes narrowing. "She's right. Do you really want to lower yourself like that? You've got more power now."

Allen waved a hand dismissively. "I don't mind. If anything, it's an opportunity. If they call back, it's a chance to raise my reputation further and give Mr. Bell a reason to approach directly. Who knows? He might even want to discuss Sophia or the agency's future. Either way, it puts in a position of power."

Vivian humd, a small smile tugging at her lips. "Makes sense. Keep your enemies close, and all that. Fine, I'll help. I still have contacts there, and I can plant a few seeds to make sure they rember you."

Zoe sighed, shaking her head. "I don't like it, but I can see your logic. Just be careful, okay? You're playing a risky ga."

Allen leaned back, a sly grin on his face. "When am I not?"

The door creaked open, and Shea's figure appeared. Larissa followed close behind, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction. Bella and Jane weren't far behind, their laughter echoing softly through the crypts.

"You're always calculated, Allen, but what's the endga here? Are you trying to crush Sophia completely, or are you just keeping her contained?" Shea asked, her voice light but edged with curiosity.

Allen's grin faded slightly, his expression turning more serious. "Both."

Larissa, who had been leaning against the wall, smirked. "So you're going for a slow burn. I like it. Let her stew in her own ss while we stay ten steps ahead."

Allen nodded. "Not really a slow burn. But loneliness and helplessness will give her a nice lesson before jail ti."

Bella joined the conversation, her voice light but pointed. "And Mr. Bell? Do you really think he'll co to you willingly?"

"If he's smart, he will," Allen said confidently. "And if not, well… I have other ways to get him to talk."

Jane finally chid in, her cheeks slightly flushed. "You're really sothing, Allen. I an, most people would just avoid all this drama, but you… you lean into it."

Allen chuckled. "It's not about leaning in, Jane. It's about control. I tried to avoid it and I lost control. If I face it head-on, I dictate the terms."

Jane nodded, her blush deepening. "Still, it's impressive."

Vivian rolled her eyes, smirking. "Don't swoon too much, Jane. He's still human."

Zoe laughed softly. "Barely. The way he moves, plans, and plays the ga—sotis I wonder if he's more devil emperor than human."

Allen raised a brow, his smirk returning. "I'll take that as a complint."

Jane giggled nervously. "It wasn't entirely ant to be, but sure, take it however you want."
