Villain Ch 1245. Where's The Fun in That?

Zoe rolled her eyes but couldn't stop smiling. As she worked her way through the sundae, she couldn't help but steal glances at the bracelet on her wrist. The silver band glead under the soft neon lighting, the wave charm catching the light with every movent. It felt surreal—like sothing out of a dream. She wasn't sure what she'd done to deserve it, but every ti she looked at Allen, her heart reminded her exactly why she felt so lucky.

"You're quiet," Allen said, breaking her thoughts. "That's rare."

Zoe blinked, realizing she'd been caught staring at her bracelet again. "Huh? Oh, nothing. Just… thinking."

"About?" Allen prompted, his tone casual but his eyes sharp.

Zoe hesitated, twirling her spoon in the remnants of her sundae. "About this," she said finally, gesturing around the cafe. "The bracelets. You. I don't know, it's just... a lot. In a good way."

Allen tilted his head, a small smile tugging at his lips. "That's not very specific."

"I an…" Zoe trailed off, struggling to find the right words. She looked at him, her cheeks warming. "You didn't have to do all this. The bracelets, the cafe—it's all so perfect. And you're just... you."

Allen leaned back in his chair, studying her with a mix of amusent and sothing softer, harder to define. "What's that supposed to an?"

"It ans you're amazing, okay?" Zoe said, her voice a little louder than she intended. "Don't make spell it out."

Allen chuckled, clearly enjoying her flustered state. "I wasn't trying to. Just nice to hear."

Zoe huffed, stabbing her spoon into the last bite of her sundae. "You're impossible."

"I know," Allen said, his smirk widening as he leaned back, watching her with an amused glint in his eyes. "I'm curious. Mind if I try that sugar overload of yours?"

Zoe blinked, caught off guard by the question. "Oh, uh, yeah. Sure. Go ahead."

She expected him to grab her spoon or maybe scoop so of the leftover whipped cream. What she didn't expect was for him to lean forward, reaching toward her. Her heart skipped a beat as his hand moved closer—not to the sundae, but to her face.

Before she could even react, Allen's thumb brushed the corner of her lips, catching a small streak of lted whipped cream she hadn't realized was there. The motion was so quick and casual, but it sent a jolt of electricity through her, leaving her frozen in place.

And then he did it. He licked the whipped cream off his thumb, smirking as if this was the most natural thing in the world. "You're right," he said, his voice low and teasing. "This is sweet."

Zoe's brain short-circuited. Her heart was racing so fast she thought it might leap out of her chest. Did he just— No, she couldn't even finish the thought. Her face was burning, and she could feel the heat crawling all the way up to her ears.

"Uh…" was all she managed to say, her voice embarrassingly squeaky. She quickly wiped at her mouth with a napkin, though she wasn't even sure why. The spot he touched still tingled, and her thoughts were a tangled ss of 'what just happened?!'

Allen leaned back in his chair, clearly enjoying her reaction. "What's with the look? I thought we were sharing."

"That's not… you didn't…!" Zoe stamred, struggling to string together a coherent sentence. "You didn't have to do that!"

"You said I could try," Allen said with a shrug, his smirk never wavering. "Seed efficient."

"Efficient?!" Zoe repeated, her voice an octave higher than normal. "You could've just used the spoon!"

"Where's the fun in that?" Allen replied smoothly, folding his arms and watching her like she was the most entertaining thing he'd seen all day. His smirk deepened, and there was a mischievous glint in his eyes that made Zoe's heart skip a beat.

She pulled her hands away from her face, barely managing to glare at him through her flustered haze. "You're ridiculous."

"Maybe," Allen said, leaning slightly forward, "but you did say I could have so. Besides…" His voice lowered just enough to make her pulse quicken. "You teased once too. Rember?"

Zoe blinked, her brain scrambling to catch up. "What? When?"

"That ti with the others," Allen said, tilting his head, his gaze fixed on her with unnerving intensity. "I think it's fair to return the favor."

"That was different!" Zoe protested, her cheeks burning. "We weren't alone back then. That was with the group and we were supposed to tease you. That was the plan."

"Exactly," Allen said, his smirk widening. "Now it's just the two of us. Of course, everything's going to be more… fun, don't you think?"

Her heartbeat thudded in her ears as she stared at him, her words caught in her throat. 'More fun?' The way he said it—low and teasing—made her mind spiral into a ss of thoughts she wasn't ready to deal with.

Before she could form a coherent reply, Allen leaned back again, his smirk softening into sothing more playful but no less confident. "And don't expect to let you go that easily this ti."

Zoe's breath hitched, her hands instinctively gripping the edge of the table. Her mind was screaming at her to say sothing—anything—but all she could do was sit there, completely thrown off by his words and the way he was looking at her. It wasn't just teasing; there was sothing else behind it. Sothing… more.

Her heart pounded so loudly she was sure Allen could hear it. Her mind was racing with a chaotic mix of thoughts, each one more ridiculous than the last. 'What does he an? Why is he looking at like that? Oh my god, am I blushing? Stop blushing!'

Allen must have noticed her spiraling because he leaned forward slightly, his voice soft but steady. "Don't worry," he said, his tone cutting through the whirlwind in her head. "This isn't a negative thing. Just enjoy yourself, okay?"

Zoe blinked, his words grounding her for a mont. "I… okay," she said quietly, her cheeks still warm.
