Villain Ch 1089. Chasing EXP

Allen, seeing the genuine disappointnt in her exaggerated reaction, chuckled softly and patted her head. "There, there. Don't be sad," he said with a playful smile. "Maybe we could go on a date in that dungeon again next ti, just the two of us. That way, we won't miss anything."

Although the comnt seed trivial to so, Allen understood what Jane was feeling. She was a lover of books and stories—any kind of stories. Romance, fantasy, drama; if it was a good narrative, Jane was there for it. Skipping her own backstory, missing the mont that could have explained who her character was, must've been incredibly disappointing.

She wasn't just a player; she wanted the emotional depth that ca with it.

Jane's eyes sparkled at Allen's words, her sulking fading into a more hopeful expression. "Really? You'd go back with ?"

Allen nodded, his smile warm. "Of course. We'll make sure to trigger everything next ti."

Larissa rolled her eyes with an amused smirk. "So what do we want to do next? We still have plenty of ti," she said, steering the conversation back to the group.

Zoe stretched, her tentacles lazily coiling behind her. "That monastery wasn't challenging enough. I an, sure, there were a ridiculous number of monsters, but they were all lower-level than us. It was just busy work."

Vivian chid in. "Well, most of us are level 180 now, and those opponents were only around level 140 . What did you expect?" she said with a teasing smile.

Allen, now focused on the holographic user interface in front of him, glanced over his shoulder. "Yeah, I know what you an. I'm hoping to hit level 190 today so I can finally take the quest to unlock my third tier," he explained, his tone a mix of determination and excitent. His gaze flicked back to the stats floating in front of him. "I only need 9% more EXP."

At his words, the girls all turned their attention to him, curious to see how close he really was. They peeked over his shoulder, reading his stats with interest.

"Wow," Larissa said, raising an eyebrow. "That's fast. You're getting close to tier three."

Allen nodded. "Yeah, it's about ti I move up."

Zoe crossed her arms, nodding thoughtfully. "What's the next tier for you? Sothing even more terrifying than the Devil Emperor?" she asked with a grin.

Allen chuckled, his gaze still fixed on the interface. "I'm not entirely sure yet. The description just says sothing about unlocking 'the true power of the abyss,' so I'm assuming it'll be sothing even darker."

Vivian looked at him with curiosity. "I bet it's going to be epic. You'll probably get so insane skills and even more ridiculously overpowered stats."

Jane, who had now fully recovered from her earlier sulking, perked up at the ntion of new power. "Do you think you'll get any cool abilities? Like summoning even bigger demons or maybe controlling entire landscapes? You know, stuff that makes you feel like a God?"

Allen smirked, shaking his head. "Who knows? But I wouldn't mind sothing that gives more crowd control," he added with a wink.

Zoe crossed her arms and tilted her head thoughtfully. "Well, if you want to hit level 190 fast, we'll need to find a place with higher-level monsters. Grinding on weaklings isn't going to cut it if we're just chasing EXP."

Vivian chid in, "Agreed. We've got enough loot for now. It's all about that sweet EXP. We need sowhere where the mobs are relentless and strong enough to challenge us a little." She glanced at the others. "Suggestions?"

Larissa grinned, her eyes narrowing with excitent. "There's always the Abyssal Rift. Tons of high-level enemies there, and no shortage of monsters. The only downside is the sheer number of ambushes. It's almost like you can't take a single step without sothing trying to eat you."

Jane groaned, leaning back against one of the crypt walls. "Ugh, the Abyssal Rift is a nightmare. We'd be constantly fighting, no ti to breathe. Not to ntion all the traps in that place. I swear I got blown up at least three tis the last ti we were there."

Allen glanced between the group, his expression thoughtful. "The Abyssal Rift's tough, but it's the best option if we want to grind levels fast. The monsters are relentless, and the EXP is good. Plus, we won't have to worry about loot—we'll be too busy fighting to even think about it."

Zoe shrugged, her tentacles swaying lazily behind her. "I'm ga for that. I like a challenge, and the traps keep things interesting. Besides, we're stronger than we were the last ti we went there."

Shea frowned, her wings fluttering nervously. "But what about the floor guardian? The Riftkeeper? He was so annoying. A lot of HP. Thick defense.

It took a lot of ti to take him down last ti. If we run into it again…"

"We'll be fine," Allen said, his confidence unwavering. "We're stronger now. Besides, we don't have to take on the Riftkeeper if we don't want to. We can focus on the lower-level mobs and avoid the guardian entirely."

Larissa smirked. "Where's the fun in that? But yeah, I get it. Grinding's the goal, not so epic battle for loot."

Jane nodded, her enthusiasm returning. "Alright, fine, Abyssal Rift it is. But I'm not stepping on a single trap this ti. I've got my eyes wide open." She then spoke in a much lower voice. "I hope…"

Vivian gave her a teasing smile. "You say that every ti, Jane."

Jane pointed dramatically at her. "This ti, I an it."
