Villain Ch 1053. How To Spell Trouble

For one, the staff here were much younger. They looked around Allen's age, maybe just a bit older, and there was a lighter, more casual energy about them. Unlike the older, more senior staff at Crownhall, who had greeted him with formalities and bows, these young professionals greeted Allen with firm handshakes and friendly smiles.

One of them stepped forward, his hand outstretched. "Good afternoon, sir. I'm Marcus, one of the owner's sons. We're excited to have you here today."

Allen smiled and took his hand. The handshake was firm, confident, but relaxed. "Good to et you, Marcus." For a mont, Allen hesitated, knowing he couldn't introduce himself with his family na. He didn't want to draw unnecessary attention to himself. So instead, he opted for simplicity. "You can call Allen."

It was weird since his initial plan was that he even didn't want to tell his na at all, but the casual air made him tell him his na.

"Great! Well, Allen, let's get started." Marcus gestured towards the entrance, and Allen followed him inside, with Kai trailing behind as always.

They entered. Allen imdiately noticed how different the vibe was compared to Crownhall. Where Crownhall had felt grand and almost overwhelming in its opulence, this place was chic and understated. The main hall was wide and open, with floor-to-ceiling windows that flooded the space with natural light.

The modern décor was sleek, but still comfortable, giving off an air of high-end luxury without being too stiff or pretentious.

Allen liked it already. The atmosphere here was much more relaxed than Crownhall, and he could tell this was the kind of place where younger, high-profile clients would feel at ease. His eyes were imdiately drawn to the stage. It was much bigger than the one at Crownhall, but not overly large like a concert venue.

He could already picture it—the formal table and chairs for the conference set neatly in the center, and the VR capsules on both sides. The table and chairs would be moved after the announcent ended. Most importantly, it was spacious enough to keep people from bumping into each other. That was crucial when it ca to their new VR capsule devices.

They needed space, and this venue seed perfect for it.

"We can accommodate up to 1,000 guests here, and we've got all the latest tech for presentations, sound, and lighting," Marcus explained as they moved further into the hall.

Allen glanced around, his mind already planning. The large open space in the middle of the hall was perfect for the duel arena he had in mind. It wouldn't need to be much bigger than a boxing ring, and the circular shape would fit perfectly in the center.

He could easily imagine the standing guests surrounding the small stage, with older guests seated at the sides, where waiters would serve them food and drinks.

"Marcus," Allen started, breaking his train of thought, "would it be possible to set up a small stage in the middle of the hall? Sothing round, maybe the size of a boxing ring?"

Marcus considered the request for a mont before nodding confidently. "Yes, of course. A round stage that size would work well in this space. We can make it happen."

Allen felt a wave of relief. One of the major elents of his event was to create a duel arena where people could watch the VR battles. If Marcus could make that stage happen, this venue was already ticking all the boxes.

Kai chid in. "Does the venue have a helipad?"

Marcus smiled, clearly proud of the facilities. "Yes, we have two. One on the rooftop and another in the parking area at the back. For guests who prefer to avoid the traffic, naturally."

Allen exchanged a glance with Kai. A nice stage, a huge hall, and two helipads. Perfect!

He didn't need to worry about the logistics of high-profile guests arriving by helicopter anymore.

Marcus seed to sense Allen's growing interest and gestured toward a nearby doorway. "Would you like to move to a more private room? We can go over the details, discuss pricing, and make sure everything aligns with what you're envisioning."

Allen nodded. "Yeah, that sounds good."

Outside the sleek, modern venue, another car screeched to a halt at the entrance. The doors flung open, and Mila and Jas erged in a hurry. Mila's heels clicked against the pavent as she rushed alongside Jas, adjusting the hem of her dress.

"I told you I'd pick you up in an hour," Jas grumbled under his breath, casting a frustrated glance in Mila's direction.

Mila shot him a look. She smoothed down her hair, which she had spent far too long perfecting. "But you said I had to look beautiful," she snapped back, her voice tinged with frustration. "So yes, I took my ti."

Jas rolled his eyes. "I can get ready faster than you," he muttered. Even though he was annoyed, there was a familiar brother-sister dynamic between them since he also considered Mila as his own sister.

Mila huffed as she passed through the door, her heels making a sharp, rhythmic sound on the marble floor. "Hey, I'm a woman. I need extra ti to prepare myself," she said. It was true, she had rushed as fast as she could, but there were limits, even for her.

Jas gave a half-hearted grunt. "Ugh… won," he muttered, shaking his head.

Mila shot him a look, raising an eyebrow as they continued their hurried pace toward the reception area. "Your mom is also a woman, you know," she pointed out, her tone almost scolding.

Jas blinked, montarily caught off guard by the retort. "Touche," he muttered, conceding the point with a slight smirk.

But his focus quickly shifted. They were running late, and he hated being late. More than that, he hated the idea that the eting might have already started without them.

They reached the reception desk, where a well-dressed staff mber stood. Jas wasted no ti. "I'm looking for Goldborne's representative and Marcus. Are they still around the hall?" he said, his voice brisk but polite.

The receptionist offered a professional smile and nodded. "Let check the monitors for you, sir," she said before glancing at the security feed on the nearby CCTV monitor. After a brief pause, she looked back at Jas and Mila. "It looks like they've just gone into one of our private eting rooms. You haven't missed them."
