"An Artifact?" Dao Tie gritted his teeth in frustration as he cursed: "You damn privileged bitch! I'll Kill you!"
In response, Feng Xue cursed Dao Tie's dirty ways: "You demon, how dare you use an innocent child like this? Don't you have the courage to face head-on? Leave that child and fight like a man!"
Hearing her provoking words, Dao Tie laughed: "Hahaha, You naive woman, do you think I would leave this child just because you called a coward? Yes! I am a coward! Do you have anything else to say before you die?"
Dao Tie knew that his previous attack had worked on Feng Xue and if it wasn't for the artifact, Feng Xue would've already been heavily injured.
Thinking that, Dao Tie decided to use the sa attack once again without giving any ti to Feng Xue to think.
anwhile, Ji Jun was constantly attacking the yan siblings who were protected by Feng Xue's energy shield and slowly but surely it was developing small cracks due to attacks of a King Realm expert like Ji Jun.
Molten Fury Punch!
Dao Tie charged forward, his fists glowing red-hot again with the small child in his other hand.
Feng Xue didn't know how to react, therefore, instead of eting Dao Tie's attack, she attacked Ji Jun by charging towards him and using Scorching Sun Palm!
I should atleast take care of one of them...
Ji Jun noticed Feng Xue's charge as he fled away, leaving behind the captive mother tribeswoman, not giving Feng Xue what she desired and Dao Tie, on the other hand, changed his target from Feng Xue to the Yan siblings.
Boom!
His glowing red-hot fist collided with the energy shield, breaking it in one strike. The energy shield was already weakened due to Ji Jun's attacks and Dao Tie's punch was enough to shatter it.
"Aaaa! Sister Feng Xue!" Yan Xiu scread for help.
Feng Xue, who was chasing after Ji Jun heard her scream as she soon noticed the situation she was in.
Dao Tie grabbed Yan Li by the neck and lifted him in the air.
Feng Xue's eyes were wide open with horror seeing that scene.
"Hahaha, Bitch! I've got the children that you were so desperately protecting! Now do as I say, otherwise, I'll snap this kid's neck!" Dao Tie threatened tightening the grip around Yan Li's neck.
"Ugh!" Yan Li struggled for air while grabbing and pulling Dao Tie's hand in a vain attempt to break free of his hold.
"No! Stop!" Feng Xue said while panicking.
"Don't worry woman, we don't have any animosity with these children! We are only after your life so if you would kindly let us kill you, we will let everyone go!" Dao Tie assured with an evil smile.
"First call back that spirit of yours!" Dao Tie ordered noticing that the phoenix was about to get free.
Feng Xue was thinking of a way to get out of this situation. She didn't know what she should do in this situation since this was her first encounter with a hostage situation.
"Didn't you hear ?" Dao Tie asked angrily as he tightened the grip around Yan Li's neck.
"Aargh!" Yan Li let out a struggling cry as he began to try and pull away Dao Tie's hand frantically.
Feng Xue was jolted awake by Yan Li's situation as she called back the spirit instantly.
"Now Stop! I have done what you asked, Now let them go!" Feng Xue said with a frown.
Dao Tie relaxed his grip, letting Yan Li breathe as he replied: "Don't be ridiculous, woman! I'll not release these children until you are dead! Let spell it out for you! You only have two choices here-"
"First, You sacrifice these children to save your life and try to kill us."
"Second, You sacrifice yourself to save these children! If you choose the second choice, I can assure you that no one else will die further!"
"To make you trust , I'll take an oath!"
He raised his right hand, making the classic oath sign with his hand as he declared: "I, Dao Tie, make an oath with the heavens as my witness, that I'll not kill these three children or anyone of this tribe if this king realm woman will let us kill her today. I guarantee these children will not be hard by or my companion Ji Jun after this lady's death! If I break this oath, let get struck by heavenly lightning!"
Dao Tie, then fixed his gaze on Feng Xue as he asked: "Choose and tell , If I should kill these children or you will die in their place?"
After he said this, silence settled in the area, everyone's eyes fixed at Feng Xue to know her choice and Feng Xue on the other hand, looked at the children who were at risk here if she decided to fight back.
She closed her eyes as the mory of her ti spent with these children surfaced in her mind.
She was sitting on the ground while ditating when Yan Xiu had entered her room.
"Sister Feng Xue, how can I beco beautiful like you? If you tell , I will give you my favorite candy!" Yan Xiu asked in her sweet, childlike voice while holding out her hand with a candy made of honey.
Feng Xue opened her eyes and looked at her excited and cute face. She wanted to squeeze her soft cheeks and hug her for being this cute, however, she maintained the dignified expression on the outside.
"Ahem, I don't know!" Feng Xue answered in an indifferent tone.
"Huh? Is one candy not enough?" Yan Xiu wondered as she increased the offer: "Sister, If you tell , I'll give you three, no, five candy!"
She showed five small fingers to Feng Xue and Feng Xue, once again replied: "I don't know!"
However, this ti, a small smile hung upon her lips as she found it difficult to control herself from fawning over Yan Xiu's cuteness.
Yan Xiu, on the other hand, wasn't one to give up easily as she showed all fingers to Feng Xue as she offered: "Sister, I'll give you ten candies, please tell ... I don't have anymore candies to give you, this is all I have!"
I don't want your candies!!
And how would I know how to beco beautiful?
I don't have any idea what to tell her!
Feng Xue roared in her mind in frustration over her situation, however, seeing the saddened expression Yan Xiu's face, she decided to just make up an answer.
"Alright, I'll tell you and you don't have to give any candy for it"
"Really?" Yan Xiu's face brightened up.
Feng Xue nodded as she replied: "To beco beautiful, you'll have to beco a cultivator, and a powerful one at that!"
"Ohhh... So that's why the top beauties of the northern Verdant Plains are all powerful cultivators! Thank you Sister for telling ! Here, this is for you!"
Yan Xiu handed her one candy and ran out of the room excitedly.
Feng Xue returned to her ditation, however, she was soon visited by Yan Li.
