The overall developnt progress of Sekiro is quite optimistic. Unless sothing unexpected happens, it should definitely be announced by the end of the year. Takayuki also reviewed the current state of Sekiro; the first level has been basically completed. However, the character models and scenes in the ga still require more refined production.

This will require pure ti investnt to complete, and fortunately, the industrialization of ga developnt can be reflected in this aspect.

At this rate, Takayuki believes that Sekiro should have a playable version finished by August or September. This would be a perfect opportunity to negotiate with the Japanese governnt to promote the ga together.

Since the Japanese governnt is willing to help with promotional efforts for free, how could Takayuki not take advantage of that? It would save a significant amount of promotional costs, which is quite a good deal.

"By the way, what's the date today?"

After reviewing Sekiro's developnt progress, Takayuki suddenly asked a question unrelated to the ga.

"Uh... it's April... 13th. What's up, President?"

"April 13th?"

...

...

"President, are you estimating the specific release date of our ga? I think it should definitely be fine around Christmas."

Takayuki shook his head and said, "No, it's not about the ga release date. I was just reminded of sothing else."

"What is it?"

"Japan, is it going to win the Olympic bid?"

"Olympic bid?" Rinto paused for a mont and then suddenly recalled a news segnt he saw on TV. He replied uncertainly, "I think there's indeed sothing about that."

Rinto couldn't quite rember clearly, since recently his mind had been fully occupied with how to improve the ga. Even when he was resting after work, he often thought about how to make Sekiro even more perfect.

Other ga developnt teams were working intensely, and it looked like they were pushing themselves hard, so he didn't want to fall behind.

The Olympic bid wasn't as important to him as the work itself, and he wasn't particularly interested in sports.

"This might also be a good promotional opportunity, don't you think?"

"A good promotional opportunity? Do you an... tying Sekiro to the Olympics for promotion?"

"That's definitely not it," Takayuki said with a smile and shook his head. "I just happened to rember it, and it has nothing to do with Sekiro."

"Oh, so are you planning to develop an Olympic-thed ga to ride the wave of this montum?"

An Olympic-thed ga, in simple terms, would directly incorporate many standard Olympic events into the ga.

For Gastar Electronic Entertainnt today, developing such a ga would be quite easy. So departnts could finish all the developnt in just six months if they seriously focused on it.

If Takayuki planned to develop it with a focus on quality, it could probably be completed in a year.

Developing an Olympic ga while capitalizing on the Olympic excitent would definitely at least break even if Japan wins the bid.

"Olympic ga? You know, I almost forgot about that. It's sothing we can consider, but we can discuss it again in 2019. There's no rush for this kind of ga; I'm just thinking about other things right now."

At that mont, Takayuki suddenly rembered when he first saw the Tokyo Olympic promotional video online.

That was during the closing ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympics.

As per tradition, the next host country usually makes a promotional effort to increase excitent for the upcoming Olympics.

At that ti, Japan surprised everyone with a promotional video for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

They gathered Japan's most popular gas, ani, and movies into one big spectacle.

Super Mario was the center of it.

The Japanese Pri Minister appeared as Super Mario, erging from a pipe on the ground of Japan, leading to Rio's main Olympic stadium wearing a red hat.

At the ti, Takayuki was extrely excited when he saw this promotional video.

It was the first ti in history that the Olympics, such a large-scale event, had openly promoted video gas.

Super Mario was the centerpiece of the Olympics, marking a milestone for video gas.

Even though video gas hadn't yet made it into the Olympics as a competitive event, their presence in the Olympics showed that society was gradually accepting the value of video gas.

Takayuki rembered how his father was just as excited as he was, and they had made plans to watch the Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony together to see how Japan would present its proudest video gas and ani to the world.

However, reality didn't live up to expectations.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics, initially planned with a large budget, ended up a complete ss due to the pandemic and so of Japan's own issues.

Even the opening ceremony beca one of the most bizarre Olympic ceremonies in history.

If it had been shown to children, it could have scared them.

It's hard to imagine what was going through the mind of the opening ceremony director at the ti.

If possible, Takayuki would have loved to see an Olympic ceremony full of video ga and ani elents.

That would have been a milestone too.

In the original world, he certainly didn't have the ability to change anything.

But in this world?

Could he change it?

At least it should be easier than in the original world.

"Alright, Rinto you keep working. I hope Sekiro can stand out more. Of course, the fun of the gaplay should not be compromised either."

"Okay, President."

Rinto still had so questions he wanted to ask, but now Takayuki seed distracted.

Could it be related to the Olympics, as Takayuki ntioned earlier?

How exactly did Takayuki plan to leverage the Olympics for promotion?

Rinto couldn't quite figure it out at the mont.

The President always seems to co up with special ideas at strange tis.

Wait a minute.

Takayuki just ntioned Japan winning the Olympic bid?

But it's only April, right? He rembered the results hadn't co out yet.

So how did Takayuki know the results?

Hmm... maybe Takayuki has a close relationship with the Japanese governnt, and they might have quietly leaked the result to him in advance.

After all, hosting the Olympics seems to be a competition between a few countries, but with the arrival of the new era, fewer countries are eager to host the event, and the competition is dwindling. Since Japan has hosted the Olympics before, it wouldn't be surprising if they succeeded again.

Rinto thought to himself that he should keep this information to himself and not talk about it with anyone else.

After all, it could affect Takayuki's plans.
