[TAMIKO]

The news of the raging psycho rogue who was tearing through the realm looking for soone and no one in particular spread through the realm and beyond like wildfire. The packs had already grown weary and the factions were readying themselves to defend their hos.

Everyone was scared shitless of the rogue and if they were being honest, that rogue reminded them of the Lycan king, but then none of the people outside Kawai knew that the suspect was the dark king they were scared of.

Expectedly the rumors hit the ears of the targeted audience and frankly, it is more of a confusing battle than what they had assud possibly. Rage and anger were familiar emotions, but as they watched the bloodied rogue walk into their camp, they knew.

"He really stepped out of Kawai for the first ti in seven hundred years," Kosta whispered when his Lycan surged forward to bow to the king who was heading their way like the skies were colored blue during the storms.

Tamiko was standing beside his Kosta, the disbelief clear on his face as he watched his father strut towards him. King Zaffuto looked hurt, which was not sothing that the king could be associated with, but then they had to rember his father’s cover.

The king was here as just another rogue with no whaling abilities, a rogue who had no regard for the power system, and a rogue who didn’t care whose foot he stepped on as long as he got to his target.

"This is insane. Literally insane," Kosta said as he made a step to go et the king halfway but Tamiko stopped him, making the Lycan chief wonder what the hell the son was at this ti.

However, as he looked at Tamiko’s face, Kosta could see the lack of emotions there. It was almost like Tamiko was waiting to see what his father would say and when he would explain the shift.

Everyone who had been camping with them had long packed and disappeared. They didn’t want to be victims of the raging psycho who had been on the road for two weeks now, terrorizing anyone on his way.

It was almost like the king himself wanted his son to know he was coming and that nothing would be able to stop his desire to be with his son again. It was crazy, but then Zaffuto was the father who refused to stay away from his son.

He understood that his son needed space, but wasn’t six weeks enough ti for Tamiko to co to a decision about the bond he shared with his father? Wasn’t it enough ti for the prince to decide on what he needed to do and the hows of it all?

"He can handle himself," Tamiko said as she stepped in front of his erasthai protectively, you would think that the king was her to not harm the Lycan chief, when that was the one thing that would never happen.

Earlier, the Lycan chief could have even worried about dying if he ever did shit that disappointed the dark Lycan king, but right now, he was protected by the heir to the Kawai throne and the one person the king cared for more than life, he knew he was safest.

Maybe it was an illusion that Kosta was hoping to make a reality, but at this point, even the blind could see just how much the Lycan prince cared for the Lycan chief and how desperate King Zaffuto was to make ands with his son.

"My little Kaito... You’re alive, son. You’re alive," the king said when he reached his son before he fell down, unconscious. At first, Tamiko was convinced that his father was being dramatic and wanted Tamiko’s attention, but when he didn’t get up, the son was worried.

"This is not funny, your majesty. Wake up and go back ho. I told you I don’t need your help with anything and I can deal with shit on my own,’’ Tamiko said as he bent to look at his father who had been wearing a hood.

Gently, Kosta pulled back the hood to reveal a very wounded king, sothing that shouldn’t have happened. This was a dangerous state for the Lycan king, yet he had risked it all to co to this place.

"He’s hurting. Let’s carry him inside," Kosta said rushedly, and Tamiko stared at him amusedly. He knew that Kosta wouldn’t pull his leg, but perhaps the wounds on the king were just artificial for this drama, right?

"Relax, he’s got the magic to fix himself up," Tamiko said dismissively, and Kosta sighed before he lifted the king’s shirt, only to see the blue star right above the king’s heart turn purple. It wasn’t supposed to be like that.

"He is dying. The Hinata family mark is turning purple," Kosta said and instinctively, Tamiko checked the star right above his heart. It was still blue, like he had read in the books of the old that were in the Grealor library.

Only then did Tamiko realize that perhaps his father was a little unhinged like him. It just didn’t make any sense for the king to let herself be like that and Tamiko couldn’t live with himself if he lost his father too.

"Why is it like that? He is supposed to be a fucking immortal. Why the hell is—"

"Hey... hey, it’s alright. At least it hasn’t turned black, so he can still be saved, alright? Look at , my soul. You won’t lose him," Kosta said when he realized Tamiko was panicking.

He could already imagine what was going on in the young prince’s head and Kosta didn’t want that, not for the erasthai he had sworn to protect.

Tamiko was protective of him, sure, but Kosta had promised to never let a tear co from his Erasthai’s eyes and he was going to keep that promise. He wouldn’t let him hurt, not like this.

"But—"

"Do you trust ?" Kosta asked as he held Tamiko’s face in his hands, shifting the young prince’s focus from the king to him. Oh, he loved those beautiful eyes and was attempting to steal a kiss from Tamiko, but then they had a dying king.

"I can’t lose him too... I just... I just found him, Kosta. I can’t," Tamiko whimpered softly.

"I know, my beautiful... I know... Please hold this shirt while I find the scent patch he has on him that got him slling like a rogue wolf," Kosta said and Tamiko looked at the folds he was being handed.

He had so many questions, but the only thing he could think of was the fact that his father had co out of Kawai for the first ti in seven hundred years, and that too while wearing a scent patch because he didn’t want to scare him.

It was sothing that tugged at Tamiko’s stubborn heart, and he smiled as he watched his erasthai remove the patch that was on the king’s waist. This was insanity at best, but at least Tamiko was finally sure where he had gotten all his insanity from.

"He is crazy," Tamiko whispered in defeat, slumping on the ground as he watched the purple mark go back to its original blue color while the king started breathing normally, even though he was still unconscious.

"He is a father," Kosta said as he put the scent-blocking patch on the ground.
