Lian and i had taken it upon themselves to confuse Little Bai for fun, often switching identities to see his bewildered reactions. Little Bai, however, had started using their personalities to tell them apart, a skill he was slowly mastering.

"So, why do you call him Master?" Han Xin asked again, genuinely curious.

Lian’s expression turned serious. "Because he is our Master. He saved us and accepted us as his disciples."

Han Xin’s confusion deepened, but before he could ask more questions, Xiang Yu’s voice echoed from upstairs. "You three, get ready. We are going out."

Xiang Yu acted as if he didn’t notice Han Xin and Han Zhan were still there. Lian and i imdiately ran upstairs, their excitent palpable. Little Bai, ever the caretaker, brought a plate of cut fruits for Han Xin and Han Zhan.

"Have so kiwi and oranges," Little Bai offered before hurrying upstairs himself.

Han Zhan, never one to stand on ceremony, picked up a toothpick and speared a piece of kiwi. He offered one to Han Xin, who shook his head in refusal. Han Zhan took a bite, his eyes squinting in pleasure as he let out a soft hum. "This tastes so good," he murmured, savouring the fruit.

Han Xin watched him, his mind still turning over the new information. The more he learned about Xiang Yu and the twins, the more questions he had. But one thing was clearly" there was more to Xiang Yu than t the eye.

Thirty minutes later they exited the elevator, the tallic doors sliding shut behind them with a soft hiss. Xiang Yu turned to Han Xin and Han Zhan, who were standing near him. "Are you two staying? I can grant you access to the apartnt."

Han Zhan raised an eyebrow, a flicker of surprise crossing his face. Wasn’t Xiang Yu afraid they would ss with his things? Han Xin, however, shook his head. "No need, but can we tag along?"

Xiang Yu studied Han Xin for a mont, unsure of his intentions but he was unwilling to drive Xiang Yu away even though he was still pissed off. "Sure," he said, unlocking the car doors with a click. As they approached the vehicle, Xiang Yu suddenly realised a problem. There were more people than the car could accommodate. He turned to Han Xin. "Can we use your car since you want to co along?"

Han Xin nodded, unable to refuse. When they walked out of the tattoo parlour, Han Xin approached his driver. "Give the keys and take a taxi back to the office."

The driver nodded, handing over the keys without a word. Han Xin took the driver’s seat, and Xiang Yu was about to sit in the back when a voice called out to him. He turned, spotting the young man from the bakery across the street. Xiang Yu was montarily confused. Hadn’t this person run away from him the last ti?

"Hello, Xiang Yu," the young man said, a tentative smile on his face. "I work across the street. Do you rember ?"

Han Zhan, who was about to sit in the front passenger seat, leaned against the car door, clearly eager to watch the unfolding scene. Xiang Yu narrowed his eyes slightly. "I rember. Your na is Qinnnn..."

The young man wasn’t offended. "It’s Qin Wu," he corrected gently. He waved at the others politely before his gaze returned to Xiang Yu. "We happened to have extra cheesecake today, so I thought I would bring you so."

Xiang Yu took the cheesecake, his mind racing with suspicion. Why was this person so enthusiastic? He glanced at Lian and i, whose expressions confird his suspicions. Sothing was definitely off.

"Thank you," Xiang Yu said, accepting the cheesecake. Qin Wu’s cheeks flushed slightly.

"Um, I wanted to get a tattoo. Will you be available soti soon so I can make an appointnt?"

Xiang Yu’s eyes flickered with curiosity and caution. He was about to tell him to make a booking with one of the artists in the parlour but when he glanced down at the cheesecake in his hand, its creamy surface glistening under the afternoon sun the words got stuck in his throat. Qin Wu, with a hopeful smile, looked up at him. Xiang Yu’s stoic deanour softened slightly; he couldn’t slap a smiling face.

"Okay," Xiang Yu said, his voice steady. "Go inside and tell Sister Mo Mo the dates you are free."

"Thank you, I won’t keep you any longer," Qin Wu replied, bowing slightly before waving at everyone and stepping into the shop. Lian and i, standing nearby, waved enthusiastically with beaming smiles. Xiang Yu’s sharp instincts tingled; sothing shady was definitely going on.

Han Zhan, leaning casually against the car, chuckled. "Wow, Xiang Yu, you are so popular."

Xiang Yu handed the cheesecake to i. "Share this with Lian, and don’t eat it in the car."

"Okay," Lian and i chorused, their eyes twinkling with mischief.

Suddenly, Han Xin’s voice cut through the air. "Xiang Yu, sit in the front."

Han Zhan, who already had one foot in the front seat, paused mid-step. He could sense the tension in Han Xin’s voice but couldn’t fathom what he had done to offend him. His cousin’s mood swings had been more frequent lately. Without making a fuss, Han Zhan stepped back, allowing Xiang Yu to take the front seat. Xiang Yu tried to refuse, but Han Zhan gently pushed him forward. He would rather sit in the back than be frozen to death by his cousin’s aura.

"Go on," Han Zhan said, his tone light but firm.

Xiang Yu settled into the front passenger seat, buckling his seatbelt just as an argunt erupted in the back. The middle row had three seats, but Lian and i were adamant about sitting there alone, leaving the third row empty.

"I am a big man with big legs; I can’t sit at the back," Han Zhan protested.

Lian, with a playful smirk, retorted, "Such a big man will squeeze us to death. Uncle, sit at the back."

"Who are you calling uncle?" Han Zhan shot back, his irritation evident.

"Okay, sorry, I ant old uncle," Lian corrected, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

i chid in, "We are delicate; we have to sit comfortably."

Xiang Yu knew they were just ssing with Han Zhan. He was about to intervene when Han Xin’s voice, cold and authoritative, rang out again. "Han Zhan, sit at the back."

Han Zhan’s shoulders slumped in resignation. "..." He was now more than certain that he had offended his cousin, but the how remained a mystery.

Han Zhan sighed and said, "Fine, I will sit. Co, Little Bai, co sit with ." He gently guided Little Bai to the back seat. He climbed into the back seat, his large fra barely fitting.

As the car pulled away, Xiang Yu glanced in the rearview mirror, catching the mischievous grins of Lian and i. Despite the chaos, a small, almost imperceptible smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

Han Xin turned to Xiang Yu, his expression unreadable. "Where are we going?"

Xiang Yu calmly input the address into the GPS. "That address," he said. Without another word, Han Xin started the car and drove off.
