Xiang Yu stumbled through the backdoor of the nightclub, the heavy tal door slamming shut behind him. The alley was dimly lit, the only illumination coming from a flickering streetlamp at the far end. The stench of garbage and stale alcohol filled the air, and the ground was littered with discarded bottles and crumpled flyers. His head throbbed with a pain so intense it felt like his skull was being split open.

A cat munching on a discarded half eaten pizza slice was startled by his sudden appearance. It hissed and darted away from a dumpster where it had been scavenging. Xiang Yu barely noticed. He leaned against the cool brick wall, closing his eyes for a mont as pain lanced through his temples like shards of glass. It throbbed with every beat of his heart but he couldn’t afford to be worried about that right now.

He was more worried about Lian and i. He couldn’t bear another minute without knowing if they were safe. They might be unhard for now, but they could be starving or suffering. The thought spurred him on, and he gritted his teeth, forcing himself to move.

He reached into his pants pocket, fingers closing around the cool tal of a key fob. He pressed the button, but the rows of cars lining the street remained silent. Frustration bubbled up, and he pressed it again, in another direction this ti. A red Mustang across the street blinked its lights in response. Xiang Yu strode over, his steps unsteady but determined, and slid into the driver’s seat.

The Divine Emperor’s voice echoed in his mind, "Have you figured out how to drive," but the aura Xiang Yu was exuding made him retreat. Xiang Yu’s fingers turned the key, and the engine roared to life, a powerful sound that reverberated through the night.

From the original owner’s mories, Xiang Yu knew that the people who had taken Lian and i were part of the Die clan, a faction of the Triads notorious for their involvent in weapon smuggling. But beneath their more visible cris, they trafficked in human lives, dealing in ransom, hostage-taking, and money laundering. They were not to be trifled with, but Xiang Yu was ready to step into the eye of the storm.

He pressed the accelerator, the car speeding down the deserted streets. His gaze was vicious the bloodthirst simring beneath the surface intensifying. He couldn’t endure the pain of losing Lian and i again.

He just couldn’t bear to see them suffer. The Mustang roared through the night, a crimson streak against the dark canvas of the city, as Xiang Yu raced through red lights.

The red Mustang pulled up to a warehouse in the heart of a deserted industrial park, its headlights casting long shadows beneath a rusting iron gate. The gate creaked open, and an old guard peeked through, his eyes squinting in the dim light. Recognizing the car, he waved his shaky, wrinkled hand and pressed a button, the gate groaning as it swung open.

Xiang Yu nodded at the guard and drove in, the gate clanging shut behind him. He navigated around the warehouse, its exterior as shabby and neglected as the rest of the abandoned industrial park.

This place had once been part of the Xiang Yu of this world’s father’s online shopping empire. It was a front for money laundering for one of the clans.

After his father’s death, he had shut down the operations, but the remnants, weapons, cash, and unregistered cars, remained stashed in warehouses across the country. This one was simply the closest.

A garage door rolled open, lights flickering on as the car rolled inside. As the door closed behind him, Xiang Yu stepped out, the warehouse’s interior filled with machinery covered in plastic. He scanned the area, his eyes landing on a door he recognised. A biotric scanner at the door scanned his face, granting him access.

Inside was a simple operation office, with a desk and leather swivel chair, locked cabinets, and a bookshelf. At first glance, it seed unremarkable. But Xiang Yu knew better. He walked to the bookshelf and felt underneath the third shelf from the bottom. A green light shone, scanning his fingerprints. Father Xiang knew that officers might co knocking at his door one day so he had been ticulous in his illegal operations. He believed there was no such thing as too much precaution.

The bookshelf slid aside, revealing a marksman’s dream. Inside were neatly arranged guns of various classifications. There were rifles, handguns, semi-automatics, shotguns lining the walls. Wads of cash were stacked in a safe, alongside travel docunts and jewellery. Xiang Yu grabbed a large duffle bag and began packing weapons. The Divine Emperor’s voice spoke softly yet firmly in his mind, "Be discreet," but Xiang Yu ignored him.

The Divine Emperor could sense that Xiang Yu’s state of mind was different, his aura intense and focused, reminiscent of when he faced Peng Xiu. Xiang Yu changed out of his flashy shirt, donning a black long-sleeve t-shirt, black gloves, and a gun holster. He slipped on a black jacket.

Before leaving, he picked up a set of keys to another car. Where he was going, a vehicle with a fake registration was essential. He clicked the key fob, and a black Cadillac with tinted windows blinked its lights from beneath its cover.

He drove out, the warehouse lights switching off behind him, plunging the space into dead silence. It was as if he had never been there. He managed to input the address of the shipping port into the car’s GPS, marvelling at the conveniences of this world.

But he couldn’t afford to be distracted. The black Cadillac parked on a small hill, shrouded in darkness. Below, an isolated section of the property was fenced off. He grabbed his binoculars and settled in to wait for the massive cargo ship to dock.

Just as the Divine Emperor had predicted, the ship docked within three hours. Xiang Yu got out of the car, slinging his duffle bag over his shoulder. He approached the fence, tossing the bag over before leaping after it. Hearing voices, he quickly hid behind a pile of containers adrenaline coursing through his veins.
