Suddenly, the doorknob rattled.

Rex froze.

He turned toward the door, blood draining from his face.

Then, he turned to look at the screen.

98%...

’Hurry up... Just a bit more... move, move...’

Then he heard the one voice he didn’t want to hear.

"Where the hell did I put that folder..."

Professor Clent.

Turning toward the screen, it was still stuck at 98%.

The doorknob unlocked with a tick, and then, with a creaking noise, the door slowly opened.

Taking one last look at the screen, he dove behind the desk.

His heart was thundering in his ears.

"He’s here."

He quickly sent Adrian the ssage.

Adrian’s reply ca back instantly. "What? Already?! Shit, get out of there, now!"

But Rex had already turned the phone off, crouched like a predator in the shadows.

The screen glowed faintly from behind the desk, but due to the sunlight, it wasn’t clearly visible.

But he could still see what he wanted.

98%... 99%...

It finally moved.

Clent stepped inside, muttering curses. He moved with heavy steps, the type of carelessness born from thinking he’s alone.

Rex could see only Clent’s legs from his hiding spot. He walked to the filing cabinet, flipped through papers, then moved to the desk.

The footsteps ca closer.

99%...

Rex slid lower, barely daring to breathe.

Clent placed a folder on the desk with a thud. He lingered. Looked around. Then reached for the chair.

99%... 99%...

Rex’s heart raced. He inched his fingers toward the USB drive.

100%.

He pulled it out just as Clent’s hand touched the chair.

The professor froze.

"What the...?"

Rex squeezed his eyes shut, ready to leap out—

But Clent just muttered, "Was that chair always turned like that?" and shrugged.

Taking the files, he turned and hurriedly walked out.

He didn’t see him.

Rex exhaled, his body trembling slightly from the adrenaline rush.

Now, he didn’t need to worry about anything, as the data would automatically upload to his cloud storage in the background.

And after everything was done, it would automatically uninstall itself while removing any traces that may have been left.

He didn’t go out imdiately; instead, he waited.

Five seconds.

Ten seconds.

Then he opened the phone and sent the ssage. "He’s gone. I’m coming out."

Adrian responded imdiately, "Okay, move. Now."

Without wasting any ti, Rex took one last look to see if everything was okay.

Finding that everything was the sa as before, he took a deep breath and darted out of the window, carefully sliding down using pipes and landing with a thud on the grass below.

His hands bruised from the rapid descent, but he couldn’t care less about that right now.

Now, it was ti to just escape smoothly.

He crouched low and sprinted toward the trees where Adrian was waiting.

From a distance, he could see Adrian pacing in circles, nervous.

Seeing him, Adrian imdiately stopped and rushed to him, his face pale and breathing shallow.

"Thank God you’re okay. When I saw Clent, I thought we were done..."

Pausing, he said with a serious expression, "You almost got caught!" His eyes still wide with panic, and his pale face reflecting the anxiety he had endured.

Rex smirked, adrenaline still surging through him.

But I didn’t, he said coolly, holding the USB between his fingers like it was just a trivial thing. "We got him."

Adrian’s eyes imdiately locked on the USB, not caring about Rex’s pose.

He hurriedly snatched it from Rex’s hand and gripped it tightly with his own, like it was the most precious treasure.

Holding the USB, he took deep breaths, his jaw tightening involuntarily.

This bastard is done, he thought with a cruel grin.

"Definitely, but first let’s get out of here," Rex said.

"Hmm, let’s go to my apartnt."

Adrian nodded, no more words were needed as they both rushed through the campus and busy streets, not stopping until they reached Adrian’s rented apartnt.

Adrian’s apartnt was sleek, modern.

His apartnt was on the second floor of a sleek, newly built high-rise building. The building had a glass and steel facade, gleaming under the sunlight.

It was the kind of place that scread success, as only the richest students could afford to rent here.

Entering inside, the lobby was minimalist and elegant, with polished marble floors and soft ambient lighting.

The elevator was quick to arrive, whisking them up to the top floor. Adrian’s apartnt, on the seventh floor, was a spacious haven in the sky, offering sweeping views of the city.

The walls were painted in cool, neutral tones, and the furniture was modern but sparse, just enough to create a comfortable atmosphere, but nothing too extravagant.

As they entered his apartnt, without even taking off their shoes properly, they rushed toward the desk, plugging the USB drive straight into the laptop.

Rex took a seat and carefully configured everything, as everything was stored on a cloud server, and this USB was the access key, while Adrian stood there nervously, looking at the screen, holding his breath.

Opening the server, he carefully scanned through everything. Seeing that everything had already been uploaded, he exhaled, and a sense of relief washed over him. Now, he finally didn’t have to worry about anything.

"How much did you get?" Adrian asked, his voice tight.

Rex leaned forward and clicked through several folders, revealing a disturbing collection of videos and images. "Everything. Dates, nas, all ticulously organized. Clent’s nothing if not thodical about his predatory behavior."

Adrian grimaced as he scanned the file structure. "God, there are dozens of students in here."

"At least twenty that I can tell," Rex confird grimly. "Going back years."

Adrian nodded, then suddenly froze as he spotted a particular folder with Blair’s na on it. His eyes darkened as he pointed at the screen.

"That one. Open it."

Rex hesitated. "You sure you want to see that?"

"I need to know how bad it is," Adrian said, his voice hollow.
