813: Chapter 813: Inhumane Experint 813: Chapter 813: Inhumane Experint “Since you already know, why would you still do this?” Xiang Yu questioned, though in truth, he knew nothing.

He was rely probing.

Mi Hui grew agitated and slamd the table furiously.

“Why?

You’re asking why?

What they’ve done is outright inhumane; it’s unacceptable!

Even if it costs my life, I will stop them!”

Mi Hui spoke with righteous indignation, his eyes wide as if grieving for a lost parent.

Deep inside, Xiang Yu’s heart churned with turmoil, but he masked it perfectly, maintaining a calm deanor while sipping his tea.

“What nonsense are you talking about?” Xiang Yu snorted coldly, exuding contempt for Mi Hui, as if Xiang Yu was one of the perpetrators himself.

“You experint on living humans, disrupting humanity’s natural order of evolution—is that not inhumane?

You’re using the guise of science to harm mankind!

I won’t allow such things to happen!” Mi Hui’s agitation surged further, and finally, he snapped, jumping up to grab Xiang Yu’s phone.

Xiang Yu swiftly kicked Mi Hui in the chest, sending him sprawling onto the sofa.

He rushed forward, grabbing Mi Hui’s collar ferociously and shouted, “What the hell do you know?

What we do is science—it’s for humanity’s progress!”

In reality, Xiang Yu didn’t know anything; he was rely bluffing.

But Mi Hui appeared out of control, too consud to notice Xiang Yu’s expressions.

“Bullshit!

What you call science is nothing but a cri!” Mi Hui shouted at the top of his lungs.

The more Xiang Yu listened, the more astonished he beca.

Subconsciously, he had pegged Mi Hui as an enemy agent, but their conversation gradually undermined his theory.

Mi Hui resembled more a scholar, or perhaps a scientist.

If Mi Hui wasn’t an agent from a rival nation, then why had Commander Cao ordered Xiang Yu to apprehend or eliminate him?

Could Commander Cao be unaware of this, leaving Jin Feng to handle everything behind the scenes?

If so, then Jin Feng’s level of manipulation would be deeply alarming.

“Do you know soone by the na of Commander Cao?” Xiang Yu asked slowly.

“No,” Mi Hui replied firmly.

“Think again,” Xiang Yu pressed slightly nervously.

Commander Cao was his direct superior, and he dreaded the idea of Commander Cao getting implicated in all of this.

Mi Hui had cald down a bit, though he didn’t understand why Xiang Yu was asking.

After sorting through his thoughts, he shook his head and replied, “Never.”

Hearing this, Xiang Yu finally relaxed.

He walked to the back sofa and sank into it.

Mi Hui took another look at Xiang Yu, his eyes now tinged with confusion.

His initial impression was that Xiang Yu was one of Jin Feng’s n, but the way Xiang Yu carried himself seed contradictory.

“Who are you, really?” Mi Hui couldn’t hold back and asked.

At that mont, the door to the room suddenly opened, and Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan walked in.

“Xiang Yu!

I knew you hadn’t gone to sleep yet,” Tie Zhuzi said excitedly.

Tie Zhuzi was about to continue speaking when Xiao Xuan pulled him back.

It was only then that he noticed Mi Hui sitting on the sofa and promptly shut his mouth.

Seeing Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan’s appearance, Mi Hui frowned.

Tie Zhuzi was too burly, while Xiao Xuan’s stature was standard, albeit small.

The two of them couldn’t possibly be soldiers, nor Jin Feng’s subordinates.

This made Mi Hui even more suspicious of Xiang Yu’s identity.

Xiang Yu’s build imdiately gave away his military background, prompting Mi Hui to tentatively ask, “Are you soone who escaped from inside?”

He wanted to observe Xiang Yu’s response, but to his disappointnt, Xiang Yu’s face remained impassive, betraying no emotional reaction whatsoever.

Seeing Xiang Yu’s expression darkening, Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan quickly settled on a distant sofa, refraining from saying a word.

“Tie Zhuzi, find him a room and take him to rest,” Xiang Yu said tiredly from the sofa.

Mi Hui froze briefly, clearly unprepared for Xiang Yu’s response.

He had assud his fate had been sealed—that Xiang Yu would kill him after probing his answers.

But surprisingly, that wasn’t the case.

Mi Hui stood up and followed Tie Zhuzi to a room.

Just as Tie Zhuzi turned to leave, Mi Hui suddenly asked, “Who the hell are you people?”

Tie Zhuzi didn’t know Mi Hui’s intentions, so he refrained from saying much and simply shut the door behind him.

anwhile, Xiang Yu’s mind swirled with complexity as he returned to his room and went to sleep.

By the ti he woke up, it was already ten in the morning.

At that mont, Tie Zhuzi, Xiao Xuan, and even Mi Hui were seated quietly in the living area.

“You two get so food,” Xiang Yu instructed.

Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan understood Xiang Yu’s intent and left without question.

Xiang Yu rarely conducted matters away from their presence; sending them away now indicated sothing of greater significance was at hand.

Seeing Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan leave, Mi Hui finally looked at Xiang Yu, saying, “I thought about it yesterday—you probably aren’t one of Jin Feng’s n.”

“Why do you think that?” Xiang Yu asked while pouring himself another cup of tea.

“Jin Feng’s people wouldn’t have kept alive overnight.

They would’ve killed right away,” Mi Hui said confidently.

The room fell silent for a mont, before Mi Hui continued, “You’re one of the test subjects who escaped, aren’t you?”

Xiang Yu didn’t know what Mi Hui ant by “test subject.” He chose not to respond and remained seated silently.

Seeing Xiang Yu’s lack of denial, Mi Hui beca increasingly convinced, saying, “As a test subject, you should be acutely aware of their cruelty—it’s outright inhumane!”

“What is all this about?” Xiang Yu finally sighed and asked.

Mi Hui stared at Xiang Yu’s bewildered eyes, confirming that Xiang Yu indeed had no idea.

He said, “I don’t know their ultimate goal.

All I know is that they’re experinting on humans, specifically individuals with exceptionally well-trained and conditioned bodies.”

“What kind of experints?” Xiang Yu’s body shuddered involuntarily.

He was a seasoned warrior, tempered by countless battles and with a resolute will, but today, sothing inside him cracked.

It filled him with weakness, and he lay there, his eyes shut, drained of strength.

“My departnt only handled dissections,” Mi Hui’s eyes reflected fear, as if recalling grueso images, causing his own body to tremble.

“How did you manage to escape?” Xiang Yu’s knife-like eyes bore into Mi Hui.

Xiang Yu’s eyes were bloodshot—eyes of a beast—calloused by endless slaughter.

“That night, for so unknown reason, there was a sudden blackout.

Everything malfunctioned, and all the locks were released.

Chaos erupted; most of the experints were abruptly halted.

We seized the opportunity to flee outside amidst the turmoil.” Mi Hui’s gaze appeared vacant as if reliving the brutality and terror of that night.

Even thinking about it left his body uncontrollably shaking.

Suddenly, Feng Lan entered the room.

Seeing Xiang Yu’s murderous eyes, she froze in shock.

It was her first ti witnessing how terrifying a human gaze could truly be…
