As the two of them talked on the rooftop, the commotion in the backyard continued. Si Tianya, despite the lingering pain in his broken legs, wore a smug grin.
"Jia, my beauty, have you made up your mind?" His expression was as punchable as it could get.
Jia Jingwen bit her lip, remaining silent. However, one of the girls beside her couldn't hold back and pointed at Si Tianya, shouting, "Si, how dare you co here and cause trouble? Aren't you afraid of losing sothing else?"
At the ntion of that day's incident, Si Tianya's face twitched. Being crippled by soone he had hired was a huge humiliation for him. However, after the man he called "Uncle Li" had delivered him back ho, he left without any explanation.
The Si family didn't take the matter too seriously. In their eyes, accustod to throwing their weight around, Uncle Li was just a skilled martial artist who couldn't possibly stand up to a powerful family like theirs.
The fact that Uncle Li had been scared off by Song Ci was, in their view, due to the Song family's influence. They didn't think Li Ruonan's place had anything formidable. It was a classic case of ignorance and arrogance.

Jia Jingwen finally moved, but instead of lashing out, she pulled the girl who had spoken up behind her and spoke in a pleading tone, "Young Master Si, please let go. There are many beauties in the capital and many who are better than . With your family's status, there must be plenty of won who admire you."
"That's true. Many won admire ," Si Tianya laughed arrogantly, then added, "But you're wrong about one thing. While there are many beauties in the capital, few can compare to you. I've set my sights on you!"
Jia Jingwen sighed. "Even if you get my body, you'll never have my heart. Why bother, Young Master Si?"
"Because I want to, that's why!" Si Tianya's face twisted with cruelty. "I've already lost my legs for you. If I don't have you, if I don't make you serve every day, how can I be satisfied?"
A glint of determination flashed in Jia Jingwen's eyes, but it quickly disappeared. She said resolutely, "Even if I die, I won't let you have your way!"

Seeing the girls' fear, Si Tianya was thrilled. He waved at his bodyguards and ordered, "Go, grab them all. Do whatever you want with them!"
"Stop!" Jia Jingwen shouted as the bodyguards moved in. However, to Ye Fei's disappointnt, she still didn't unleash her power. Instead, she turned to Si Tianya and said, "Don't hurt them. I'll go with you."
Si Tianya laughed triumphantly. "That's more like it! Boys, stand down. Don't upset my beautiful Jia."
"Sister Jingwen!" The girls, relieved but heartbroken, called out to her. But faced with a villain like Si Tianya, they were powerless. All they could do was pray for their backbone, Li Ruonan, to arrive soon.

However, her repeated interference had worn his patience thin, especially after the incident that had cost him his legs. Jia Jingwen had beco an obsession for him, and he wouldn't rest until he had her. So, despite his fear, he retorted, "Li Ruonan, don't push too far!"
"You're the one who keeps coming here to take people by force. Who's pushing whom?" Li Ruonan sneered. "Or do you think the capital is already under the Si family's control?"
Such a bold statent was sothing Si Tianya didn't dare to confirm, so he avoided answering and instead asked, "Li Ruonan, are you determined to oppose ?"
"Exactly! As long as I'm here, you won't lay a finger on my sisters!" Li Ruonan declared coldly.
Si Tianya and Li Ruonan stared each other down for a while, but in the end, Si Tianya decided to back down. He now knew Li Ruonan's true strength and his bodyguards were no match for her.
Suppressing his frustration, he waved his hand and said, "Let's go!"
To save face, he added, "I don't believe you'll be here every day!"
Although this might have just been an empty threat, Li Ruonan, rembering Ye Fei's earlier instructions, stepped in front of Si Tianya and sneered, "You think this is your playground? Co and go as you please?"
"What else do you want?" Si Tianya asked, barely containing his anger. He was already humiliated, and now Li Ruonan wasn't letting it go.
"Since breaking your legs didn't teach you a lesson, let's take care of that last leg of yours. That way, you won't keep thinking about Jingwen," Li Ruonan said.
This was exactly what Ye Fei had instructed. There were two benefits to this: first, it would show Jia Jingwen that they had her back. From her earlier actions, Ye Fei could tell she wasn't a bad person.
Second, it would teach the Si family a lesson. Ye Fei knew that the three gangs who had co after him had connections to the Si family. Now that Li Ruonan was his woman, the Canghai Gang was essentially his as well, and he believed Li Canghai wouldn't oppose his decision.
Sure enough, seeing Li Ruonan stand up for her like this, Jia Jingwen was deeply moved. She grabbed Li Ruonan's hand and said, "Ruonan, don't do this. It'll cause trouble for you."

Li Ruonan acted as if she had just done sothing trivial. She coldly glared at the bodyguards and shouted, "Get out of here!"
The bodyguards finally snapped out of their shock. Not daring to challenge Li Ruonan, they picked up the nearly unconscious Si Tianya and quickly left.
Once they were gone, the girls erupted in cheers, praising their boss for being so badass. Jia Jingwen, however, had a complex look in her eyes. She walked up to Li Ruonan and sighed, "Ruonan, why did you do this?"
"It's called killing two birds with one stone," Li Ruonan said with a smile, then took Jia Jingwen's hand. "Co on, let introduce you to soone."
Curious, the girls followed Li Ruonan into the hotel lobby, where Ye Fei, having co down from the rooftop, was already seated.
Seeing Ye Fei, the girls were even more surprised. Wasn't this Song Ci's master? What was he doing here? Jia Jingwen composed herself and, assuming her role as the leader, smiled and said, "Isn't this Mr. Ye? Where's Song Ci?"
Ye Fei glanced at Li Ruonan, who was blushing, and knew she was too embarrassed to explain. So, he smiled and said, "Song Ci isn't here. Let formally introduce myself. I'm Ye Fei, currently the boyfriend of your boss, Li Ruonan, and soon to be her husband!"
"Wow!" The girls gasped in surprise. A few bold ones even said, "So the boss did steal Song Ci's man!"
Hearing their exclamations, Li Ruonan's face turned even redder. Ye Fei, however, stood up and said to Jia Jingwen, "You're Jingwen, right? Can we talk privately?"
Jia Jingwen was taken aback. What did this man want to talk to her about? She looked at Li Ruonan, who also seed puzzled, but Li Ruonan nodded and said, "Jingwen, if he has sothing to discuss with you, go ahead."
"Alright," Jia Jingwen agreed, seeing no reason to refuse.
As Ye Fei and Jia Jingwen headed upstairs, the girls started whispering again, "Is this guy planning to sweep up all three of our beauties?" Hearing this, Li Ruonan couldn't help but laugh and shake her head.
