Drip, drip, drip...

The countdown needle struck Tao Pinggui’s heart like raindrops.

Thirty seconds had unknowingly passed, with cold sweat beading Tao Pinggui’s forehead like rain, his fists clenched then released, released then clenched again.

Two billion! That was a full two billion!

Mo Han, that son of a turtle, he’s sucking my blood!

"Chairman Tao, you’ve got fifteen seconds left."

Just then, Mo Han’s voice, devilish as ever, echoed in his ear.

"Ah! It’s so itchy!"

And at that very mont, the pain and itch started up again in his lower body, feeling like tens of thousands of ants were biting and gnawing at his wound.

"Boss Tao! You can’t hesitate anymore!"

Tao Wu hurried over, his voice grave, "Otherwise, you really will have to amputate!"

"Amputate?"

Tao Pinggui jerked his head up, and thinking of this consequence, he shouted as if howling, "I agree! Two billion, I agree!"

"Just made it at fifty-nine seconds, Chairman Tao really likes to play with his heart rate, huh."

Mo Han smiled playfully, waving his cellphone casually, and chuckled, "Alright, transfer the money first!"

"No way!"

Tao Pinggui imdiately refused, "If I transfer the money to you first and you don’t cure , wouldn’t that two billion be thrown away for nothing?"

"Besides, I don’t have that much money in my card at the mont."

Mo Han glanced dismissively at him, "If you don’t have the money, why agree to anything? Forget it, I’m not treating you!"

With that, he turned to leave.

"Don’t go!"

Seeing Mo Han was truly about to walk away, Tao Pinggui panicked and quickly said, "Mister Mo, let’s talk about the money issue slowly."

"Two billion isn’t a small number, I really don’t have that much in my account."

"How about this? I transfer the five billion I have in my account to you first, then I’ll call finance to have them transfer the remaining money to my account as soon as possible."

"As long as you cure my illness, I’ll imdiately transfer the other fifteen billion to you the mont it arrives in my account."

Mo Han gestured authoritatively with his hand, "Then first pay ten billion! Once the illness is cured, transfer the remaining ten billion over!"

"I’ve already given in one step, don’t keep haggling with ."

Err...

The last sentence had completely blocked Tao Pinggui, who awkwardly scratched his head, thought for a mont, then nodded, "Alright, I’ll transfer the ten billion to you first."

Two minutes later, Mo Han saw the text ssage alert on his phone, nodded in satisfaction, put away his phone, and spoke indifferently, "Chairman Tao, please co over, I’ll take a detailed look at you."

"Okay."

Tao Pinggui quickly motioned for Tao Wu to push his wheelchair over.

Mo Han placed his hand on Tao Pinggui’s wrist, pretending to check, then touched his clean-shaven chin, putting on a mystic’s guise, "Chairman Tao, if I’m not mistaken, have you taken any unwholeso drugs to enhance kidney function recently?"

The image of "Super Brother No. 2" flashed through Tao Pinggui’s mind, and he nodded, "Yes, a couple of days ago, I bought so kidney supplents."

"Ah, I see!"

Mo Han, stroking his chin, continued to bamboozle, "Your body was already suffering from congested qi and blood, needing to be cleared, but you went straight for drugs that increase liver fire and kidney function."

"Now, the liver fire has descended all the way to your lower body, so how could it not fester and ooze pus?"

"Your condition is very serious. If you were to be treated by Western dicine, amputation would definitely be the outco."

What the hell? He really knows sothing!

Tao Pinggui muttered to himself inwardly, his face eagerly pressing on, "Then, can Chinese dicine cure it?"

"Yes! Of course, it can!"

Mo Han smacked his chest, saying, "Your illness might be sowhat complicated, but with taking care of it, it shouldn’t be a big issue."

"Here’s what we’ll do: I’ll prescribe you a formula of Chinese dicine, boil it on the spot, and after drinking three bowls, all the toxins and fire in your body will be expelled."

"However, you’ll have to endure it a bit, this dicine is sowhat bitter."

Bitter? What’s bitter?

Dammit, haven’t I already suffered enough these past few days?

Tao Pinggui shook his head vigorously, "That’s not a problem, I can endure it!"

Mo Han promptly wrote down a prescription of over a dozen of the bitterest Chinese herbs, and he made sure to prescribe them in very large doses. With this dosage, Mo Han reckoned that Tao Pinggui wouldn’t be able to taste anything else for at least a month.

As the herbs were all common at the Huiquan dical Hall, it didn’t take long before they had all been gathered.

Looking at the pile of herbs that looked like a small mountain, Tao Pinggui’s mouth twitched slightly, and he couldn’t help but swallow his saliva, asking, "Mister Mo... do I have to take all these?"

"Of course! Aggressive illnesses require strong dicine!"

Mo Han spoke with conviction, "There’s too much toxic accumulation in your body, how can you get better without drinking all these herbs?"

"I even think the dosage prescribed is too small."

Too small?

Tao Pinggui couldn’t help wiping the sweat from his forehead and gave up struggling, "Alright then, I’ll just stay here today and take all these herbs stewed in water."

"Wait, there’s still one crucial step we haven’t done!"

At this point, Mo Han spoke up, "This dicine still needs an ’herbal prir’."

"Herbal prir?" Tao Pinggui was sowhat astonished, "What herbal prir? Mister Mo, please tell , and I’ll have Tao Wu buy it right away."

Mo Han smiled mysteriously, and said, "With such heavy toxic accumulation in your body, we need to use ’renzhonghuang’ as the prir for detoxification."

"Renzhonghuang?"

Tao Pinggui, not familiar with Chinese dicine, was confused, "What’s that? Is it really useful for my illness?"

"Renzhonghuang, that’s actually what we commonly refer to as feces."

Mo Han struggled to hold back his laughter, managing to keep a straight face, "It may seem disgusting, but it actually has the effects of clearing heat, cooling the blood, draining fire, and detoxifying."

"In the ’Herbal Treatise,’ it’s recorded that human excrent is cooling and used frequently for diseases related to excessive heat, skin spots appearing with fever, great heat with irritability, boils due to blood heat, erysipelas, ulcerations, and the like."

"If we want to cure Chairman Tao’s illness, renzhonghuang is indispensable!"
