"Is she a real sister or a fake one? There’s hardly any truth in that mouth of yours."

Zhang Hao didn’t rush to hang up the phone. He patiently hoped that Gu Yue would be willing to help.

"Miss Gu, if you help just this once, I’ll follow your lead anyti, anywhere in the future."

Gu Yue had found it strange ever since Zhang Hao took the initiative to call.

Now, after he made such a solemn promise, the problem seed even more serious.

"An distant relative? Is it worth such a big sacrifice?"

On Zhang Hao’s end, there was silence.

Feeling the embarrassnt of a lie being exposed, he could find a way to smooth it over, but that would only make things worse.

He coughed twice to clear his throat, "Miss Gu, you’re so busy every day, but you really must pay attention to your health."

"If you don’t have ti to co to the hospital for a check-up, I can co over to examine you."

On the end of the phone, a satisfied smile slowly appeared on Gu Yue’s calm face.

She leaned back, tilting the backrest of the boss chair.

"Okay, then Doctor Zhang, co over in half an hour. My heart has been a little uncomfortable these past two days."

For a mont, Zhang Hao felt like a lamb walking into a tiger’s den.

After dealing with the task at hand, Zhang Hao picked up his things and went to Gu Yue’s company.

Gu Yue had made sure everything was in order, and once Zhang Hao arrived, he could co straight up.

Her mood hadn’t been too great today, but the thought of Zhang Hao arriving soon lightened her spirits considerably.

Gu Yue sat in the chair, wriggling nonstop as if she couldn’t find a comfortable position.

Her slender legs were straight and pressed together, with her knees rubbing against each other, one up and one down.

After hanging up that call, Gu Yue had intended to use the ti before Zhang Hao’s arrival to go through her docunts one more ti.

But her body’s honest reaction made it impossible for her to stay calm for even a mont.

The contents and figures on the computer screen just wouldn’t sink in.

Half an hour, only thirty minutes, not even enough ti for a cup of coffee, yet now it dragged on like years!

On the way, Zhang Hao passed by an unmanned store.

For an instant, Zhang Hao felt like he was the infatuated lover.

Despite being surrounded by different won, he knew their intentions at a glance.

Zhang Hao parked his car at the side of the road, hesitated for a mont, but ultimately opened the door and got out.

It took so courage to enter this kind of shop in broad daylight.

Zhang Hao stood at the entrance, looking left and right, and seeing few pedestrians, he quickly stepped inside.

Once in the store, he looked at the items on a few shelves and took so photos with his phone.

The photos were sent to Gu Yue without any editing, so she could have a look for herself.

Which one to buy to cure her "heart ailnt"?

Upon receiving the ssage, Gu Yue enlarged the photos, examining them row by row.

She circled the items that interested her and sent them back to Zhang Hao, asking him to buy them.

Zhang Hao found the selections on the shelf and paid the corresponding fees.

Ignoring the glances of pedestrians outside the store, he got back into his car.

After getting into the car, Zhang Hao checked the ti and realized he didn’t have much left.

He floored the gas pedal and headed to Gu Yue’s company.

Before getting out of the car, Zhang Hao emptied his dical bag and placed the newly bought "toys" inside.

Fearing a security check, he covered them with dical instrunts.

Ensuring nothing looked amiss from the outside, he closed the lid and carried the bag as he got out of the car.

Standing at the entrance of the company, Zhang Hao looked upward, not knowing on which floor Gu Yue’s office was.

Even without knowing on which floor it was, Zhang Hao had to rush upstairs with his belongings in tow.

Upon entering the company’s main entrance, Zhang Hao noticed that the security guard at the door didn’t stop him to ask any questions.

Approaching the front desk, just as he was about to ask on which floor Gu Yue was located,

the receptionist with an innocent look and a smile on her face told him that President Gu was in the office.

The office was on the top floor!

Zhang Hao, carrying his dical kit, took the elevator and without hesitation pressed the button for the highest floor.

As the elevator moved, he began to feel a slight dizziness.

Fortunately, the sensation quickly faded away.

When the elevator doors opened, Zhang Hao stepped out and found the floor eerily quiet, with no one in sight.

If he hadn’t walked a few steps and seen the sign for the president’s office, Zhang Hao would have thought the receptionist was playing a trick on him.

Raising his hand to knock, there was no response, so Zhang Hao tried pushing the door and found it surprisingly unlocked.

Pushing the door open, he entered the vast office and did not see any trace of Gu Yue.

Zhang Hao stood at the doorway, hesitating whether to proceed, as after all, he was not an employee of Gu Corporation.

He was just an ordinary doctor, and the president’s office was the heart of the entire group’s secrets.

All of the company’s most important docunts were stored here; if he entered rashly,

and anything was missing from the office, he feared the bla would fall on him.

Just as Zhang Hao was deliberating whether to enter or not, he saw Gu Yue coming out of the rest room wearing a bathrobe.

"You arrived so quickly. You must be quite eager," she said.

These words made Zhang Hao feel sowhat embarrassed.

"Of course, I have to hurry to treat President Gu. If you give a bad review, then all my work this year will have been for nothing," he replied.

Gu Yue knew that Zhang Hao always made jokes like this to win her over,

so she wasn’t angry.

"I sprayed too much perfu when I left this morning, so I took a bath here."

"Now my body is very clean, which should not affect Mr. Zhang’s judgnt," she added.

After speaking, Gu Yue sat back down in her chair.

Zhang Hao also walked to the office desk and pulled out a chair in front.

By comparison, the chair that Zhang Hao sat on was much simpler.

"Certainly, won like to wear makeup, to apply costics—those things can easily interfere with a traditional Chinese dicine doctor’s judgnt. Miss Gu, what you’ve done is comndable," he said.

Gu Yue leaned back in her chair, and the neckline of her bathrobe opened slightly, revealing a hint of her skin.

Zhang Hao opened his dical kit and took out his stethoscope.

Just as he was about to stand up to listen to Gu Yue’s heartbeat, soone pushed the door and walked in.

Zhang Hao had no choice but to sit back down quickly, covering his dical kit which held many valuables.

Gu Yue also imdiately switched her deanor.

"President Gu, here’s a docunt for you to look at. It’s rather urgent, so if there’s no problem, please sign it," said the newcor.

Gu Yue glanced at the docunt and asked, "Which project’s contract is this? Why haven’t I heard about it before?"

"Our company has been following up on this project for a long ti, and it’s only recently been finalized," ca the reply.

Gu Yue looked at the docunt in her hand with a serious expression.

Zhang Hao, sitting opposite her, showed no emotion on his face.

However, he adjusted his posture and sat straight.

Just as Gu Yue was about to speak, she felt sothing touching her leg.

She glanced down and suddenly saw a foot extending over.

Instinctively, she looked at Zhang Hao, who was sitting opposite her. Her eyes conveyed slight reprimand, but she did not forcefully stop his actions.

With his tall fra, Zhang Hao’s legs stretched out below his waist, and his foot cleverly parted Gu Yue’s knees that were pressed together.
