I’m always ready!

Those four words truly hurt Zhao Qing’s heart. Was she really so desperate to be humiliated by a man like this?

This had never happened to her in all these years.

Zhang Hao pushed open the door and walked out of the restaurant, standing at the entrance to catch the breeze before heading towards the roadside.

A taxi stopped, and Zhang Hao opened the door and got in without hesitation.

The waiter brought the freshly cooked dish to the table, hesitating whether to set it down.

"Pack up the cooked ones, cancel the rest."

Realizing the custor’s mood was off, the waiter didn’t say much and contacted the kitchen through the headset, informing them to cancel Table 06’s order.

Ultimately, Zhao Qing returned ho alone, dejected. Her parents couldn’t help but ask a few questions upon seeing their daughter like this.

But they could guess what had happened.

"Mom, Dad, don’t ask anything. I don’t want to talk about it. I’m not going to work tomorrow. I want to sleep until I wake up naturally."

After saying this, she went back to her room and didn’t co out again.

Zhang Hao had never thought about developing a romantic relationship with Zhao Qing, but he didn’t expect her to fall for him first.

Everything that happened tonight seed like he was heartless and unfaithful.

Because of Zhao Qing, an untily thought resurfaced—Zhang Hao considered switching to a different hospital for work.

To alleviate his inner turmoil, Zhang Hao unusually took the initiative to go to a bar and spend so money for a change.

In front of the bar, he ordered a drink. Countless beauties passed by him, but Zhang Hao’s heart remained still.

Until a woman in a red dress appeared uninvited and sat next to him.

"Sir, would you mind buying a drink?"

Zhang Hao gave her a glance. It was normal to buy ladies drinks in this kind of place, so he snapped his fingers at the bartender.

"A drink for the lady."

The bartender, used to such requests, asked about the lady’s preferences and began to mix a drink.

Those cool bartending skills attracted many exclamations and admiring shouts.

A Long Island Iced Tea was pushed in front of the woman in the red dress. She didn’t hurry to drink but took the initiative to strike up a conversation with Zhang Hao.

"Sir, are you here alone? Drinking alone can be quite lonely, right?"

As she spoke, the woman placed her hand on Zhang Hao’s thigh.

Zhang Hao looked down at her hand but made no other moves.

"Married woman, why are you out drinking? And your husband agrees to this?"

With those words, the woman hastily retracted her hand, her eyes showing evident panic.

"How did you know?" The woman didn’t make up too many excuses, but was curious about how Zhang Hao had found out.

"There’s a clear ring mark on your ring finger. Haven’t you noticed?"

The woman looked at her hand, and as the tension on her face faded, it was replaced by composure.

"My husband is very busy, and his skills in bed are just so-so. I’m already thirty-five this year."

As the saying goes, ’A woman at thirty is like a wolf and at forty, a tiger.’ A thirty-five-year-old woman is often at her peak of unsatisfied desires.

"Because he can’t satisfy , I suggested divorce, but he didn’t agree. Finally, we ca to an agreent—I could find n as long as I didn’t get pregnant."

The woman placed her hand on Zhang Hao’s leg again, this ti choosing a bolder spot.

Zhang Hao looked at the woman for a long while and said, "Thanks for the interest, but I’m not into married won and don’t want to invite trouble for myself. You might want to pick soone else."

After finishing his drink, Zhang Hao got up and moved to another spot, even though the woman in the red dress didn’t seem to want to give up.

The bar was crowded, but there weren’t many as handso and stylish as Zhang Hao.

Handso n, like beautiful won, are scarce commodities.

"What’s the matter, are you afraid I’ll cling to you or worried that my husband will trouble you?"

Seeing the woman catching up, Zhang Hao suddenly had the illusion that she was a plaster that couldn’t be shaken off.

"Why can’t it be because I’m keeping myself clean?"

The woman heard this and imdiately laughed, "People who keep themselves clean wouldn’t co to a place like this casually."

"Since we both could et here, it must an we’re fated. It would be a sha to waste such a perfect setting."

A man at the neighboring seat cast a burning gaze, "Handso, just accept it, look at how forward the beauty is."

In the eyes of others, this woman might be a rare delicacy, but for Zhang Hao, she definitely wasn’t.

"Madam, I hope you can respect yourself. I ca here today just to have a couple of drinks."

The woman, as if she hadn’t heard, still leaned closer and whispered in Zhang Hao’s ear.

"Handso, just this once, it’s sothing that makes everyone happy, why worry about the irrelevant details?"

Zhang Hao furrowed his brows, but fortunately, his last shred of reason kept him clear-headed.

"Ti’s up, I should go back now. Handso, if you like this type, I’ll leave her to you."

With that, Zhang Hao stood up and left, leaving the woman in red incredulous.

Watching Zhang Hao’s figure disappear into the distance, the woman in red sat on the sofa, looking at the man at the neighboring seat.

"Do I not look good, or is my appeal not strong enough?"

The man initially seed to be more into egging the situation on.

"No, you look very pretty. Perhaps that handso guy just didn’t like your type."

Zhang Hao got to the entrance of the bar and breathed a sigh of relief.

He wasn’t the kind of man to loiter among flowers, nor did he like to ss around with relationships. Offers that ca too easily like this always ca with hidden dangers.

Zhang Hao lit a cigarette at the entrance of the bar and puffed away before he heard quarreling voices coming from the alleyway beside him.

"You wretch, you can’t even hook a man here, what use are you to !"

"You saw it too, that man just now wasn’t interested in , it’s not my fault."

At first glance, the conversation between the two didn’t seem problematic, but Zhang Hao had the feeling that the man the woman ntioned was him.

He followed the voices and saw a man and a woman in a dark box.

The man was dressed plainly, but the woman was in a knee-length red dress; this was the sa woman who had been pestering him earlier.

How could she be here?

The man grabbed the woman’s hair, "I’ll give you another chance, if you still can’t do it, I’ll hand you over to Brother Wu, he has ways to deal with you."

Hearing the na Brother Wu, the woman’s blood ran cold, rushing back to her heart.

"Don’t go too far. You are the one who refuses to divorce and set free. If it cos to it, I’ll go down fighting."

The woman had a fierce heart, and the man’s face grew even more sinister.

"You wretch, even if I lack that thing, you still won’t think about getting a divorce, ptooey!"

Zhang Hao intended to mind his own business, but then the woman suddenly turned her head and looked at him, and that look set off an unstoppable chain of events.

Like soone in a raging river finally seeing a floating plank that could save their life.

"Sir, sir, please call the police for !"

Zhang Hao took out his phone, reporting to the police was no trouble.

His finger hadn’t even touched the screen when the man spoke again, "Kid, my wife likes you, she’s so wet for you. If you don’t mind, I’ll pay for the room for the both of you."

Zhang Hao thought this man was seriously ssed up, and turned to the woman, "And you?"
