Talking about marriage, Jose was pleased. "lissa and Murray getting engaged is a good thing. But they don’t have enough ti. I invited a pastor to help find a good date for their engagent. The most recent one is at the end of this month. They can get engaged then." He chatted with Marc.

The old man was so delighted that he couldn’t stop grinning. "Great! Once they are engaged, their wedding day won’t be far away."

lissa glanced at Murray only to find he was staring at her gently.

"li, leave the engagent to us. You don’t have to worry." Marc reassured a bit concerned.

"Don’t worry, grandpa. Everything will be fine." She knew what was on his mind. Marc was still haunted by the mories of her announcing that she would cancel the engagent.

Hearing this, the grandfather was relieved.

Ryleigh had planned to gain Marc’s sympathy. But when she reached the ward, she overheard their conversation and clenched her fists in anger.

With Marc being around, Murray and lissa wouldn’t have any misunderstandings no matter how hard she tried.

They just had a big fight. But now they were no longer mad at each other as Marc helped them resolve the dispute. They were even talking about their engagent.

"That slut, lissa. Who knew what trick she used to coax Marc!" Ryleigh had to find a way.

Murray was her man and she would never let lissa steal him away from her!

She cursed lissa quietly and returned to her ward.

lissa narrowed her eyes as she seed to have seen a figure by the door.

If she wasn’t mistaken, it was Ryleigh.

Having been diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer and she was still hanging around.

"What are you looking at?" Murray frowned when he caught her staring at the door.

"Nothing," lissa said, shaking her head.

"Then, it’s a deal. You’ll get engaged at the end of the month." Marc’s gaze fixed on the couple.

"Sure. I’m fine with it." A smile ca to Murray’s lips.

He wouldn’t allow anything to go wrong this ti, he would give lissa a grand, lavish engagent.

Having sent his fiancée ho, Murray drove back to Gibson’s villa.

It had been a long ti since he ca back.

"Mr. Gibson, you’re back," Jane said respectfully.

Murray nodded at her before walking to the second floor.

Sarah and Claire were waiting anxiously in a room on the second floor.

After their plot was exposed by lissa, Murray asked the bodyguards to bring them back to Gibson’s villa and put them under house arrest.

"Claire, do you think Murray will be so heartless that he’s going to lock us up forever?" Sarah asked, concerned.

"You are his mother! When his anger dissipates, he will let us out." Claire comforted her.

"I hope so." Sarah sighed.

"It’s all lissa’s fault. That slut!" Thinking about lissa, Claire felt she was burned with jealousy. "If it hadn’t been for her, Murray wouldn’t have treated us this way!"

"You’re right, Claire!" Sarah nodded. "Ever since lissa ca here, the family has been in a ss. Murray must have been enchanted by her. He doesn’t care about anymore. I’m his mom!"

"Exactly!" Claire gritted her teeth. "If they got married, I’m afraid we are going to be locked here forever!"

"This can’t happen! I won’t let them get married!" Sarah said angrily.

Thinking about what lissa had done, Sarah clenched her fists until her knuckles were white.

She couldn’t imagine what a miserable life she would live if lissa married Murray and had a say in Gibson’s family.

She would ask Murray to deal with her.

Taking a deep breath, Sarah promised that she would never allow it to happen!

"Don’t be angry, Sarah. I’ll get you so water." Claire pretended to care about her.

The mont she opened the door, Claire saw the hunky man she had long wanted to see.

Claire froze for a mont, before happily saying, "Murray!"

Ever since they were put under house arrest, Murray had never co to see them and refused to pick up their calls.

Now that he was here, did it an that he wasn’t mad at them anymore?

"Murray, you’re here." Sarah was delighted.

Stepping into the room, the man announced emotionless, "I’m here to tell you that lissa and I are going to be engaged."

"What?" Sarah and Claire said in unison, shocked.

"No way!" Sarah shouted.

"No one can’t change my mind," He said, his cold gaze falling on Sarah.

"Murray, what do you see in lissa? Why do you go against for her? You locked and Claire up for her! We are your family!" Sarah said furiously.

Murray frowned. The corners of his mouth curled into a mocking smile. "Family? Isn’t grandpa your family? You nearly killed him for your selfish desires!"

"Murray, we’re wronged!" Claire’s eyes glinted with shrewdness. She grabbed Murray’s arm and said tearfully, "We were forced!"

Murray snorted, not buying her story.

"It is true! It was Jim who forced us to do this! He threatened us, saying he would kill us if we didn’t do it for him." Claire bit her lip.

"Is that so?" Murray glanced at her.

Claire nodded, "Please believe . Jim hated Marc for driving him out of the family, so he took revenge. We didn’t have a choice. Jim mailed the poison to . You can check it yourself."

"I only know it was you who poisoned grandpa!" Murray’s voice was icy cold, disappointed with Sarah and Claire.

However, since Claire said she was forced by him, Jim was probably involved as well.

After all, he had always held a grudge against the Gibson family.

Claire didn’t lie. The poison might have been given to her by Jim.

Now, Jim had beco Sebastian’s sidekick. Was Sebastian the mastermind behind the plot?
