Jake felt that he shouldn't let them escape… the goal of those guys was still mysterious, but Jake was determined to get on their way, so he used dark flas on those guys. The range of that skill had increased a lot recently, so it worked. When the boss heard its allies getting hurt, it turned around to check things, and Jaked used that chance to attack. There was no point in hiding the dark flas anymore, so he enhanced his blade with it. It was also better to finish things as quickly as possible...
Despite that, the boss reacted on ti to block the strike with its arms. He regretted a little that, though, since the dark flas began to eat away its flesh while it was grinding like a saw. The monster suddenly kicked Jake's left wide to force him to move, but while the pain was nerve-wracking, Jake recovered and dashed toward the enemy again. He couldn't let the enemy realize that each of their strikes were making his bones crack as well...
Against Jake's dark flas, the monster could dodge or block. The first option was the best since it wouldn't suffer any damage, but Jake's swings weren't big enough to let him open to counterattacks. The monster focused on evasive maneuvers since it felt that Jake couldn't keep attacking with the flas for long and Jake used that in his favor. All of a sudden, he fired a barrage of dark blades, and the enemy didn't have the chance to dodge them at that distance.
The boss showed an annoyed expression since it got Cursed and its paraters decreased, but not so much since apparently, the creature had so Resistance to it. Still, Jake made things a bit more equal to he charged toward the enemy.
Dodging like before would be hard for the monsters, so when the creature saw Jake's sword approaching. It moved to the side as much as possible and then slightly punched the side of the blade to escape the attack completely. Jake saw that, so he couldn't help but frown. The monster sure was agile. If anything… it even had steel nerves. Failure at the such mont would cause more than a little pain.
Regardless, Jake wasn't planning to let things be easy for the creature, so he thought of a counterasure. Jake relaxed his wrists before attacking again with another downward strike. Just like before, the monster did the sa thing, but when he was about to punch away the weapon, Jake moved his wrists and then turned the blade to the side. The monster ended up punching the blade and the dark flas. To add to that, Jake used Cyclone Strike to cut a big wound on the boss' arm and on its left side as well.
Maybe the flas reached another level, but the wounds of the beast weren't bleeding.. they burned everything they touched and even cauterized the wounds before cutting. That was painful… Jake could tell by looking at the monster. At the sa ti, he also confird that the max health of the monster had dropped.

"Was that because that wound can't be healed by normal ans?" Jake thought.
The amount wasn't high, but it was a skill useful to have against bosses, mainly since Jake was always solo and those bitches had too much health. Still, he wondered if his other innate skills would have other effects once they level up… it would be nice if they could. That being said, he also had to consider that the skills of others could also have extra effects… including the criminals.
In any case, Jake had to forget about that for the ti being because the pain the monster was feeling made the creature charge at him in a fit of rage. Jake blocked the attack with his sword engulfed in flas and made the enemy feel more pain. Still, the beast jumped backward, ignoring all that, and just punched the air while firing multiple Fire Punches.
Jake sidestepped to dodge most of them and only blocked a few without striking the projectiles. Again, he wouldn't fall for the sa trick, so the beast got annoyed by it. As if the monster hadn't learned its lesson, it charged wildly again, but at the last mont, it slowed down and opened its mouth and used Fire Breath.
Jake was expecting so surprises, so he kept his guard up, but that kind of sequence of actions still made him frown. That certainly was one way of attacking. Nevertheless, the boss was more powerful than the ordinary monsters, so the flas were also a lot more powerful. In the blink of an eye, the entire castle got covered by a sea of flas. There was no place to run… Jake jumped to escape the first wave, but then he found himself in trouble when he began to fall.
In the end, Jake tossed his sword to the ground and created a landing point out of the ground that was lting now. He landed on the hilt of the sword. He never thought that he had such a good balance… Nevertheless, the beast pointed its mouth toward Jake, but he blocked the flas with his shield. He could feel the flas around eating his health, so Jake had to do sothing about it and quickly.
In the end, Jake just threw his shield while enveloped by the dark flas toward the enemy. Despite the surprise, since that was the only thing that the enemy could use to protect himself, the boss reacted on ti and grabbed the shield before it could hit its face. Still, that gave Jake the chance he wanted since the path ahead was open.
