The next few days went by slowly and…
'Adam hadn't visited since that day,' Aqua thought looking at the dinner in front of him, the one who made it was of course Ai.
"Aqua, Ruby, tell what you think about it alright? I want to get better at cooking," AI was the very personification of cheerfulness these past few days doing everything with the happiest smile.
'Ai has been cooking too much food lately,' It wasn't that Aqua was complaining but this was indeed too much for him as he had been eating a lot more than usual.
If this continues he'll most likely beco fat rather than becoming fit like Adam.
"Yes," Ruby answered but she wasn't even the shadow of her previous self these days.
'I can't tell if it's because of what Ai said that day or if it is because of cakes had been completely finished,' Aqua wasn't sure which it was, because both seed equally bad for Ruby in a way, but for him…
'Well, as long as Ai is happy then I don't see the problem, this has nothing to do with the cakes though,' Aqua made it a point to add the last bit since he didn't want it to look like he was selling Ai for so Cake.
He would never do sothing like that.

But as they were about to eat Ai's phone rang and it was unusual for it to happen at this ti, unless….
"Oh, It is President Saitou," Ai said before picking up the phone.
'If only that man could hear his na being called correctly,' Aqua felt bad for Ichigo but he couldn't focus on that for long because he could see that Ai's happy face slowly beca devoid of emotions within seconds.
"Ok, I understand," In the end, Ai ended the call with a blank face and ca back to the table.
"Well, the president told sothing and you two also need to listen," Ai's words stopped Ruby and Aqua from eating since they could see that she was being serious at this mont.
"What happened, Mama?" Even Ruby seed to have co out of her montary absentmindedness because of how serious Ai looked at the mont.
"Miyako-san will not be coming to look after you guys from yesterday," Ai said and this alone shocked the two, since no matter what, whether she was sick or busy, Miyako had always taken care of them for nearly six years now.
'Wait, did it already happen?' Aqua could instantly understand the reason behind this sudden news and it wasn't good because Ai's next words confird it.
"Miyako-san and President are splitting up,"
'Are they doing that?' Ruby questioned with her eyes wide, because if this was true then, it would be good news to her.
'Miyako will keep him away from Mama,' But Ruby didn't let that thought of her surface but…
'This isn't good,' Aqua thought looking at Ruby he could easily guess what she was thinking, no he had been able to understand what she was going after thinking about it for a while.
It was just that he hadn't spoken to her since he was sure that what she was planning wouldn't co true because of a few things, or so he had thought.
'It looks like I miscalculated, I should've noticed sooner how Miyako-san and President couldn't see eye to eye any longer,' Aqua had seen the sa in their eyes when the do performance happened.
It seed the two of them were sharing the sa vision at the ti even with Miyako's grudges from the start when she had to take care of them, but she ca around and beca an irreplaceable part of their family after that with a few twists.
'But after the Do performance's success, the two have been slowly drifting apart because of President focusing solely on work while leaving her alone just to take care of us, It was an oversight on my part since sothing like this was bound to cause cracks and with soone like Adam around it wasn't that hard for her to make her choice after whatever happened between them,' Aqua thought as the dinner silently concluded since there were no more words spoken after that.
With the way Miyako had been acting in the past few days, it was no surprise she had already made her choice. So Aqua could just sit there at the mont and think what would happen going forward as this is also going to affect them.
At night after Aqua and Ruby went to sleep, Ai silently slipped out of the bed and ca to the living room without waking up the two.
'She moved too quickly,' Ai thought about what Miyako had done today.
She had filed a divorce, asking for no money or support, it was as simple as it could get. She wanted to end her marriage as soon as possible to get out of the relationship for her own reasons which caused her to drop the monetary value which would only delay the divorce.
And of course Ai had an idea why she did that.
'To think she would respond to it like this,' Ai sat down on the couch with her face going completely flat.
The day when she told Adam to marry her, the real reason behind that was to gauge Miyako's reaction.
'She had been too close to Mister, even asking if I knew where he was in the past few days when he left, it seed like she didn't see as soone who would go for him,' That is why AI wanted to test if Miyako was actually interested in Adam.
'So, the thing I heard the kids talking about that day was true,' Ai unlocked her phone and opened the ssenger.
"But I didn't expect her to make such a decision," Ai didn't think that Miyako would act this quickly upon her words.
This ant that Miyako saw Ai as a proper competitor and decided to move.
'It would've been better if I didn't do that, I would've had more ti that way,' She looked at Adam's contact and saw the previous ssages.
Adam – I forgot to tell you that I kept the ice cream I made for you in the freezer, it is your favorite one
Adam – If you can't reach my phone then it ans that I have left.
He was still the sa, caring and giving, if she had kept her mouth shut she could've silently worked her way towards figuring out what she was feeling and moving forward.
But the real reason for Ai to make that decision was not Miyako, she may have used it to check what the other's intentions were, but her mind was sowhere else.
'Mister said he has a fiancée. So, I am already way behind her, the only way to beat her is if I get married before her,' Ai ca out of the ssenger and found his contact in her phone, her eyes glowed in the dim light.
She knew what she had to do and it was easy for Ai to say it, but there was a big reason she played it off as a joke at the ti.
'I don't want to be unsure,' Ai couldn't understand and that was her main problem, she didn't want to do this in a half-assed way.
'He is the only one who didn't turn away from , He cared for and he still does, that is why I want to return that,' Ai was abandoned by her mother as a child, She tried to find love but knew she was incapable of that so she tried to make a family of her own, her boyfriend was soone who never viewed her with affection.
She beca an Idol wanting to learn how to love people, trying to turn the lie into the truth but it didn't work, A fan nearly killed her, and her ex instigated not leaving her alone even after she ended things with him.
She got love from her kids and even from her fans, but because of that, she was able to understand that there were different types of love and at this mont she wanted sothing that her kids and fans couldn't give her.
'It is sothing I only feel from you,' Ai called Adam's phone and it was unreachable. So, it was clear that he had left, he hadn't co back after she made that statent.
He showed her so much affection the first ti, and then helped her so much the second ti with her Ex, even this ti he took care of her, gave her the ice cream she likes, all of this, and in the end, he didn't even et her before he left, but Ai could understand why he did that suddenly.
But even if she felt bad, she didn't hate him for doing so since she understood why he did that, She could understand the reason why he left, and that concerned her more than the fact that he left.
The fact that he went back to his fiancee made her heart tighten...
It was weird…
