While Anna was tidying up Desmond Fairchild’s desk, she unexpectedly found a locked drawer underneath the desk.

Anna hadn’t initially noticed the drawer, but the thought kept gnawing at her. Eventually, she gritted her teeth and found a key in another drawer, which she used to open the locked drawer.

After opening it, she was surprised to find two docunts inside. How could there only be two docunts in a locked drawer? But when she picked them up and read them, her eyes suddenly brightened.

The two docunts were Quentin Jennings and Seraphina Sinclair’s marriage agreent and Seraphina Sinclair and Desmond Fairchild’s patronage contract.

Feeling a sudden surge of intrigue, Anna hurriedly closed the drawer, then drove to the Fairchild family’s old residence.

"Old Mrs. Fairchild, Miss Anna is here," the butler said as he led Anna inside.

"Anna, what’s brought you here so late?" Grandma Fairchild asked, puzzled by Anna’s anxious expression.

Anna’s hand shook slightly with excitent as she held the two docunts, though her face feigned worry and urgency. "I’m really sorry for disturbing you so late, but I think this is sothing you need to know."

Hearing this, Old Mrs. Fairchild beca even more curious and motioned for Anna to co over and speak.

Anna walked over, gently placed the docunts on the table, and spoke with her head lowered, "Grandma Fairchild, you should take a look at these two docunts first."

Old Mrs. Fairchild seed puzzled but still reached out to pick up the docunts on the table. After taking a glance, a look of astonishnt appeared on her face.

Seeing this, a trace of excitent flashed fleetingly in Anna’s eyes, as it seed Grandma Fairchild truly knew nothing about this matter. Now, she was curious to see how Seraphina Sinclair and Desmond Fairchild would clean up this ss.

After reading the docunts, Old Mrs. Fairchild looked up at Anna and saw her peculiar expression. After a mont’s thought, she understood what this was about.

"Anna, where did you get these docunts?" Old Mrs. Fairchild’s voice lacked the warmth it once had.

At Old Mrs. Fairchild’s age, what hasn’t she seen? It took her only a mont’s thought to understand what Anna had done. After all, she’s watched Anna grow up and knows what kind of person she is. Ambition is good, but one should know their limits.

"I found these while tidying up President Fairchild’s desk. I thought such an important matter should be brought to your attention, Grandma Fairchild," Anna said softly.

Having said that, she discreetly observed Old Mrs. Fairchild’s face, hoping to see anger or so other reaction, but to her disappointnt, Old Mrs. Fairchild didn’t display any emotions she was anticipating.

"You’ve gone through such trouble, but I’ve known about this for a long ti. It’s just sothing between the couple, and I, as an old lady, should not interfere too much. Isn’t that right, Anna?" Old Mrs. Fairchild said as she looked sharply at Anna.

For a mont, Anna almost believed her inner thoughts had been completely seen through and forced a smile. "Is that so? It seems I’ve been ddling."

Old Mrs. Fairchild gently set down the docunts, then took Anna’s hand, lightly patting it as she spoke kindly.

"Anna, how old are you now? I’ve watched you grow up without anyone by your side who cares about you. How can that be? Would you like Grandma to arrange a few etings for you?"

"No need, Grandma. I’m not interested in such things for now," Anna replied, sowhat relieved to hear the familiar tone of Old Mrs. Fairchild.

Hearing this, Old Mrs. Fairchild slightly withdrew her smile and released Anna’s hand.

With a serious expression, she said, "Not interested, huh? That’s fine, focusing on your career is good, but Anna, constantly eyeing others’ things is not a good habit. What’s ant for you will eventually be yours; what isn’t, don’t force it. Do you understand?"

Standing there, Anna felt utterly embarrassed, as if her actions had turned her into a laughable clown.

Looking at Old Mrs. Fairchild’s face, she suddenly felt exceptionally disheveled and, barely maintaining her composure, left hastily with a random excuse.

As soon as Anna left, Old Mrs. Fairchild’s expression imdiately darkened.

"Get that rascal Desmond Fairchild back here imdiately!" Old Mrs. Fairchild shouted to the butler.

Desmond Fairchild had just left Quentin Jennings’ banquet when he received a call from the butler informing him that Old Mrs. Fairchild was angry, prompting him to rush back ho.

Upon entering the house, he was greeted with a storm of scolding from Old Mrs. Fairchild.

"You’ve grown bold, haven’t you? Hiding such a big thing from ! Really think you’ve grown up and I can’t control you anymore?! Speak! What’s going on between you and Seraphina? What’s with these two docunts? Clear all this up, or you’ll see what happens!"

As she scolded, Old Mrs. Fairchild threw the two docunts at Desmond Fairchild. As he opened them, his expression imdiately darkened. "Grandma, how did you get these two docunts?"

"Don’t worry about how I got them! You first explain everything to ! And that Anna girl doesn’t have pure intentions toward you. Stay away from her in the future, understand?!" Old Mrs. Fairchild glared at Desmond.

Hearing this, Desmond Fairchild understood everything. He sighed and recounted everything from the beginning between him and Seraphina Sinclair.

It was only when Desmond ntioned being slapped by Seraphina Sinclair that Old Mrs. Fairchild noticed the print on Desmond’s face.

She shot him a harsh look imdiately, "You had it coming! Doing such things, and all she did was slap you? You’re lucky I wasn’t there, or I’d have broken your legs!"

Struck down by his grandmother’s energy, Desmond said, "..."

After hearing everything from Desmond Fairchild, Old Mrs. Fairchild’s anger had mostly dissipated, but thinking about how Seraphina Sinclair was still upset, she was exasperated at her grandson’s foolishness.

"I’m telling you, whatever thod it takes, whether apologizing or making ands, you have to win back my granddaughter-in-law. If Seraphina doesn’t co back, don’t bother coming ho; I’ll consider you no grandson of mine!" Old Mrs. Fairchild said with a touch of childishness.

Desmond Fairchild had already intended to find Seraphina Sinclair to explain and apologize, and now hearing Old Mrs. Fairchild, he naturally agreed imdiately, making Old Mrs. Fairchild’s face look sowhat better.
