Chapter One Hundred and Seventy-Six
Long Xiaoshan took a bath, feeling completely relaxed.
He didn't have any clothes to change into, and since the Bai Family was all won, naturally there were no n's clothes available.
Long Xiaoshan simply put on a pair of shorts and didn't bother wearing a shirt as he walked downstairs.
As he had been practicing, the scars on his body weren't so horrible anymore.
And since country folks aren't particular, often walking around shirtless in the sumr, Long Xiaoshan didn't think a man going shirtless was inappropriate and strutted down from upstairs.
Bai Xuehen, having finished her bath with her hair hanging loose, sat on the sofa in a white, loose sleeping robe.
Seeing Long Xiaoshan walking down shirtless, she blushed and said, "Big Brother Xiaoshan, why aren't you wearing a shirt?"
"Oh, my shirt got dirty, so I just didn't put it on. It saves the trouble of taking it off when I go to sleep later," Long Xiaoshan casually said.
"Uhh!" Bai Xuehen felt unable to refute.
Thankfully, the awkwardness didn't last long.
From the kitchen, Bai Susu called out, "I've finished cooking, Xuehen, co help bring it out."
"Okay, Mom," Bai Xuehen replied, sowhat flustered, and walked toward the kitchen.
"I'll help too," Long Xiaoshan stood up and headed for the kitchen.
Reaching the kitchen door,
Bai Susu was coming out with a plate of food as Long Xiaoshan was going in. They passed by each other at the kitchen doorway, with Bai Susu lifting the dish over her head to avoid bumping into him, and they shuffled past face to face.
However, the kitchen door was a little narrow.
As they both sidestepped, they almost brushed past each other's bodies.
Bai Susu's hand softened, and realizing that Long Xiaoshan had discovered her secret earlier, she beca even more flustered.
Soup splashed onto her fingers from the dish, and she yelped, the plate in her hands falling down.
It looked like the scalding dish from the plate was about to hit her face.
If this just-cooked dish burned her face, it could have scarred her, and Bai Susu was in a panic.
Suddenly, a strong force wrapped around her waist and pulled her to the side, while another hand caught the tumbling dish, not even a drop of soup spilling.
Long Xiaoshan, holding Bai Susu by the waist, asked with concern, "Auntie Su, are you okay?"
"I'm fine, I'm fine, Xiaoshan, thank you," she said, her face flushing slightly.
"As long as you're okay."
Long Xiaoshan let go of Bai Susu's waist and placed the dish on the dining table.
At that mont, Bai Xuehen also ca out with dishes.
Soon, several dishes were arranged on the table, and Bai Susu ca over, her complexion back to normal, but a faint blush still lingering on her neck.
"Xiaoshan, there's not much food, just help yourself," she said.
"It's plenty, thanks," he replied.
Without any hesitation, Long Xiaoshan grabbed a bowl and began to eat noisily.
His manners were far from refined.
Not only did he eat ravenously but also with considerable noise.
However, Bai Susu didn't seem to mind at all, her eyes soft and doting, occasionally putting so food into Long Xiaoshan's bowl for him.
"Auntie Su, you should eat, don't bother with ," Long Xiaoshan said, slightly embarrassed.
"It's okay, I'm not hungry," she said softly.
"Mom, he's not a kid anymore," Bai Xuehen complained jealously.
"You, child," Bai Susu said as she also put a piece of at into Bai Xuehen's bowl.
Noticing Long Xiaoshan's bare upper body, she carefully stood up and said, "Xuehen, you stay here and keep Xiaoshan company while I eat. I'm going to go buy him so clothes."
"Auntie Su, you don't have to go through the trouble," Long Xiaoshan hastily said.
"It's no trouble, there's a mall right at the entrance to the community," Bai Susu said as she took her keys and left.
With a pout, Bai Xuehen said jealously, "Big Brother Xiaoshan, my mom has never treated half as well as she treats you."
Long Xiaoshan chuckled awkwardly, "I'm a guest, she's just being polite to ."
"She's not polite like that to anyone else," Bai Xuehen huffed softly.
"Let's eat, let's eat," Long Xiaoshan said, bowing his head and continuing to wolf down his food.
