While he did say that each of them would get 5,000 pieces, Xu Que did not count them at all. He rely split them into two unequal halves.
The bigger pile went to Jiang Hongyan of course, and the smaller went to Buttface.
Buttface scowled at once and demanded, “Crap, can you be any more blatant in your favoritism? Look at how small my pile of Escape Emblems is, and you dare to say that you have given 5,000 pieces?”
“Give a break! Are you silly, Buttface? This situation is so critical, and you want to be picky about this? It’s just a few pieces less, so what? You need to be more gracious and stop counting every little gain or loss!” Xu Que said with a heavy heart.
Buttface almost vomited blood. Raising the handful of Escape Emblems, anybody could see that Buttface only had several dozen. He questioned Xu Que as indignation filled his face, “Lad, you call this a few pieces less? Screw you, open your eyes wide and see; you gave thousands of emblems less! How do you expect to be gracious? How to not mind my gains and losses?”
“Don’t sweat the details. I just split the pile offhandedly according to what I felt. I guess that my sense of touch isn’t that accurate today, and I accidentally split the emblems unequally!” Xu Que looked at Buttface righteously as he lied through his teeth.
Buttface instantly rushed up and swung his fists around, trying to scratch Xu Que. He growled, “Crap, you chose beauty over Buttface! I have gone through life and death, thick and thin with you, but you won’t give even 100 emblems! Not even 100!”
“Crap, you’re getting ahead of yourself! They can’t defeat you anyway and will most probably be too lazy even to find you annoying! What use do you have to for that many Escape Emblems? Go off to one side and play by yourself!” Xu Que pushed Buttface to the side and stepped onto the lightning bolt, ready to face the powerhouses at the peak of the Great Vehicle Stage.
If they fought them head on, they would lose for sure; however, with the Escape Emblems, it was another thing altogether. The Heavenly Humans would be beaten up so badly that they would wonder what the hell was going on!
Arwoof! “Stand there, young lad. I will fight you to the death!” Buttface chased after Xu Que angrily.
Jiang Hongyan was amused. She shook her head slightly and said, “Quit fooling around, Buttface. I’ll give you so of my emblems!”
“Ah! Holy Senior, you’re too kind, Holy Senior! But please take these emblems back. I won’t need that many anyway!” Buttface imdiately changed his stance when Jiang Hongyan spoke up. The pandering look on his face made him look like an all-words-but-no-action official.
His response surprised Jiang Hongyan. Stunned, she asked, “Are you sure that you don’t need any more emblems?”
“No, I’m fine!” Buttface said determinedly.
Only then did Jiang Hongyan put away her emblems and nod.
“Buttface, a nice display of shalessness there!” Xu Que laughed at him. He had known Buttface long enough to understand his character – he knew that he was in no danger and would not need this many Escape Emblems, but couldn’t resist being a cheapskate, that’s all.
However, Buttface was quite afraid of Jiang Hongyan and dared not cause trouble in front of her. He indeed did not dare to accept a single Escape Emblem from her, which made Xu Que chuckle.
“Pooh! I’m just honest with my feelings! The truly shaless one is you!” Buttface retorted promptly.
Yo! Still so arrogant, huh? Xu Que raised his brows and glared at Buttface.
Buttface shrank his neck back right away, finally rembering the collar that he was wearing. He changed his expression imdiately and smiled with utmost kindness and friendliness, “Haha, I’m just joking. It is a joke! I just wanted to ease the tensions right before the upcoming battle!”

At the sa ti, they all heard new sounds of violent winds breaking out.
A re five miles was nothing to powerhouses at the peak of the Great Vehicle Stage. They caught them up in a blink of an eye.
However, deep down, they were quite horrified.
Shaken by the amulet Xu Que had used to teleport, they were also enamored by such an item that could reduce miles to milliters, and they wished that they had it also.
“Low lifes! Hand over the amulets on you, and we will consider sparing your life!” An elder turned toward Xu Que as he bellowed.
“So what if I don’t hand them over? I dare you to hit !” Xu Que smirked and looked at the elder with much disdain.
The dozens of Heavenly Human ancestors’ faces quickly turned dark at Xu Que’s words.
“Hmph! How dare he!”
“No human has ever been this atrocious in front of us!”
“Let give you a piece of advice. You better hand over all of your amulets and tell us where you got them. Otherwise, we’ll make sure that even death would be a better option for you!”
The Heavenly Human elders began to order Xu Que sternly and firmly, and would certainly not take no for an answer.
Xu Que laughed at their antics. His eyes brightened like he had realized sothing, and he smirked. “You old fuckers have been cultivating here for years, but none of you could make it into the Celestial Stage. Aren’t your life spans almost up, since you’ve been hiding here for all these years? Why, then, are you still coveting these?”
