The middle-aged man spoke such words because he believed the statue could exert such power.
All because of Cai'er.
It was just an instinctive guess by the middle-aged man, but it was indeed the case. If it weren't for Cai'er, Ye Feng wouldn't have placed the statue on this fishing boat.
Upon hearing her father's words, Cai'er frowned slightly, then raised the statue high and prayed aloud to it: "Divine Lord, if you truly exist, please help Cai'er, help all the fishern, help them. As long as you are willing to help them, Cai'er is willing to serve you for eternity, willing to be your most loyal believer."
As Cai'er's voice rang out, a few massive bolts of lightning flashed across the sky.
After the lightning, the entire sky suddenly beca clear, and the previous blackness completely dissipated.
Even the rain in the air slowed down considerably, losing its previous urgency and ferocity.
The tornado sweeping in all directions suddenly stopped, as if abruptly terminated by an incomprehensibly powerful force.
The entire sea surface began to calm down.
Minutes later, the previous threatening atmosphere had beco exceedingly quiet, with no trace of disturbance.
However, as far as the eye could see, all the boats had been completely destroyed, either broken into pieces floating on the sea.
Or completely subrged into the deep sea, with no chance of surfacing again.
The fishern too had all died, leaving only Cai'er and her father on this lone fishing boat on the vast ocean.
The solitary pair looked at the empty sea ahead with a feeling of loneliness, a hint of heartbreak, and profound sadness.
Among those who died, so were their old acquaintances, so were relatives.
The majority were strangers who made a living from fishing.
Yet despite this, the death of each person brought imasurable shock and grief to Cai'er and her father.
"Father, they're all dead, all dead, how could they just die like this?" Cai'er began to cry bitterly.
Though resilient, she was still a young girl in her teens, and in the face of such calamity, how could she possibly withstand it?
Her father couldn't bear it either as her tears flowed freely.
But with the dead gone, what could be done? Could they really be brought back to life?
As the thought passed the middle-aged man's mind, his eyes suddenly flashed with light, "Resurrection?"
This word appeared in his mind without any warning, as if by divine intervention.
Suddenly, the middle-aged man seed to rember sothing, seed to seize sothing, and his body began to tremble excitedly.
"Cai'er, there's a way, there's a way." The middle-aged man said excitedly.
Cai'er wiped the tears from her eyes, puzzled, and looked up at her father, saying: "Father, what's wrong? What way?"
"Cai'er, do you rember what was said about the divine manifestation? I heard that as long as one believes in the Divine, the Divine will help all those afflicted by calamity and solve all their problems. Do you rember this?"
"Yes, I rember, Father. Do you an if we sincerely pray to the Divine, it will fulfill our wishes?" Cai'er's eyes shone bright.
"Exactly, exactly," the middle-aged man said repeatedly.
At this mont, Cai'er turned her gaze, looking determinedly at the statue in her hand. She opened her mouth and began to chant a prayer.
"Great Divine, I am willing to serve you as my lord. If you have a spirit, please help us, help those unfortunate souls who have died. We are willing to worship you as our lord, willing to beco your most faithful believers…"
As the voices of the father and daughter spread, the statue in Cai'er's hand shone brightly again, and a mont of crimson light scattered around, bringing visible changes to the entire sea.
The destroyed ships began to assemble by themselves, and the people who had died erged from the sea.
Each person upon returning to the ship showed a hint of bewildernt.
They witnessed others rising from the sea with astonishnt and speechlessness.
Finally, these resurrected people turned to the place where Cai'er stood, looking at the statue in her hand.
Seeing the divine light on the statue, they seed to understand sothing, then simultaneously knelt down to the ground.
Each face was filled with devotion, gazing at the statue in Cai'er's hand, chanting a unified mantra.
"Thank you, Divine Lord, for saving us. We are willing to serve the Divine Lord, to honor and respect the Divine Lord forever, willing to be the most loyal believers of the Divine Lord."
As their voices spread out, they combined into a powerful sound wave, dispersing far and wide, overshadowing the surrounding ocean's sounds.
anwhile, high above, Ye Feng distinctly felt a tingle of Wish Power gathering from these people.
What caught Ye Feng's attention was a particularly strong Wish Power weaving through, entering Ye Feng's body.
This formidable Wish Power was emitted from Cai'er herself, and in just a mont, Ye Feng saw Cai'er's Wish Power undergo a monuntal transformation.
Starting from white, changing to yellow, red, and finally transforming directly into black!
Cai'er had instantly beco a High Level Black Believer!
As this black Wish Power entered Ye Feng's body, he distinctly felt a surge of strength.
While still slightly weak, this strength brought Ye Feng imnse joy. He gazed deeply at Cai'er below, his heart filled with pleasure.
"This item is yours today; keep it well without any damage or loss, do you understand?"
As Ye Feng spoke, his voice cheerfully descended from above and enveloped the statue. When the voice was emitted from the statue again, the expressions of all present changed slightly, then joyously turned to look at the statue.
