This change caused the expressions of the middle-aged man and Cai'er to change drastically. The middle-aged man imdiately stepped forward to take the helm, shouting at Cai'er.

"Cai'er, it's raining heavily, hurry and get inside."

"Father, I know." Cai'er answered quickly.

The statue she was about to set down was not put down; instead, she held onto it even tighter.

In the blink of an eye, the sky was covered by dark clouds, and the bright daylight turned extrely dark in an instant.

Raindrops the size of beans poured down from above like a waterfall, causing a sharp, itchy sensation on the skin.

With the roar of thunder, like electric snakes darting across the sky, the entire heavens lit up.

The rain grew heavier, the air even chillier, and waves surged high on the surrounding sea, a sense of impending doom perating everything.

Apart from the sound of pouring rain and the roar of thunder, nothing else could be heard. Even the thunderous sound of the once-large oars was completely drowned out by the combined sounds.

As Cai'er ran towards the cabin, a chill suddenly rose in her heart, feeling that in this fierce storm, she was like a lone boat in a gale.

So solitary, so cold, and so desolate.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

At this mont, thunderous sounds erupted around the fishing boat, as giant tides with gusts of wind harshly crashed from the front.

The entire boat shook violently, as if in the apocalypse, a deadly threat spreading all around.

Seeing this, Cai'er halted her steps and turned to look at her father.

"Father, be careful."

As soon as those words fell, a fast-approaching tornado and waves opened their terrifying, grisly mouths, fiercely swallowing forward.

And that middle-aged man was right at the center of that gaping maw.

If this mouth swallowed, the middle-aged man would surely perish here.

In distress, Cai'er ignored everything else and rushed toward her father. Seeing his daughter rushing toward him, her father imdiately shouted.

"Cai'er, go, go, leave , get to the cabin, don't worry about , get to the cabin."

The middle-aged man's voice was loud, piercing through the roar of the storm, reaching Cai'er's ears. Yet, deeply fearful, Cai'er ignored her father's words.

Her heart had only one simple, pure, and very warm thought: her father must not die, must not die here.

Even if death were imminent, she would accompany her father.

"You! Go! Can't you hear? Get away, get far away from here...!"

Seeing Cai'er still rushing over, her father roared angrily.

But Cai'er had made up her mind and wasn't listening to her father's words. Besides, she knew that even if she returned to the cabin, death was still unavoidable.

In such a storm, survival was a re luxury.

The middle-aged man also knew this result, but he hoped his daughter could live just a little bit longer.

Even if she lived just a few seconds longer than him, he would be satisfied.

But he hadn't expected that his usually obedient Cai'er would be so stubborn at this mont, rushing toward him like a madwoman.

"Father."

Cai'er shouted, quickly approaching her father, and due to the great wind resistance, the statue in her hand beca extrely heavy.

By accident, the statue dropped to the ground.

Cai'er saw the fallen statue and imdiately reached out to grab it, wanting to hold it again.

She didn't know why she made such a move; she just felt the statue seed very important to her.

Because of the statue's presence, she didn't feel as scared, daring to make surprising moves even to herself.

She reached down and, luckily, grabbed the statue into her hand, just as it began to radiate light.

A golden light erged from the statue, surrounding the entire fishing boat, also cutting off the advancing tornado and waves.

In an instant, the whole fishing boat was surrounded thereby, and the encroaching wind and waves were all intercepted by this layer of golden light.

Seeing this sudden scene, Cai'er was stunned, never thinking that the statue in her hand would display such power.

Nor had she ever thought that the statue she picked up unintentionally would, at this critical mont, save her and her father's lives.

The middle-aged man also looked incredulously at the statue, his mouth moving slightly, his heart mixed with complex emotions.

Before this, he feared the statue's bad luck, but now, he didn't expect that at the brink of life and death, he and his daughter managed to survive thanks to it.

"Cai'er, hold onto it tightly."

The middle-aged man ca to his senses and shouted at Cai'er.

"I know, Father."

Cai'er held the glowing statue tightly.

She seed afraid that the statue might suddenly fly away.

anwhile, both the middle-aged man and Cai'er knelt down, praying to the statue.

Now, despite the world outside the fishing boat being pitch-black,

the middle-aged man and Cai'er on board could see everything outside the boat clearly.

Amazingly, both Cai'er and the middle-aged man were astonished as they looked at everything outside the boat, their faces turning pale.

Ships and fishing boats were all swallowed by the raging storm, as fishern knelt desperately at the bow of their boats.

Every scene and every mont was overlaid with profound death, seeing acquaintances and loved ones consud by the tyrannical tsunami.

Everyone was in panic.

The middle-aged man took a deep breath, looked at the glowing statue, and hopefully said to Cai'er.

"Cai'er, quickly, help them."
