Chapter 129: Bringing the Maids
Ti flew by as Benjamin enjoyed a well-deserved rest after going off-world frequently…is what didn’t happen.
There were plenty of things that happened in the past few months that gave Benjamin a bit of a headache.
One was dealing with Voyager, the Grandmaster’s daughter, who sohow found her way to Earth a few months back.
Since her common sense differed from normal people, she caused quite a bit of trouble on Earth now and then.
In the end, she had joined the EPD and Benjamin managed to convince her to join the intergalactic branch, thereby driving her away from Earth.
Yes, the Intergalactic branch has been completed. Benjamin couldn’t be bothered with trying to find a cool acronym for it like SHIELD or SWORD and simply nad it Intergalactic EPD.
Well, that was the legal na. However, everyone has gone around calling it the Freedom Corps.
Supposedly based on Benjamin’s last na and company na. And that it sounds better.
SWORD also still exists as a sort of sister-branch of SHIELD.
While the Freedom Corps provides safety to Earth and other allied planets, SWORD focuses on developing planetary defences and counterasures.
Benjamin felt it was a bit redundant but didn’t mind it much since SWORD’s budget wasn’t coming from his pocket anyway.
As for the person in charge of the Freedom Corps. It was hard for Benjamin to choose a person since there wasn’t a lot he knew that would be familiar with the situation outside of Earth.
Gamora was a good candidate but she didn’t want it, preferring to be on the field instead.
Voyager? Hell no. Who knows what kind of trouble she’s gonna do if she becos in charge of the intergalactic branch.
Carol was the best candidate but she didn’t want it, claiming she didn’t want to beco like Fury.
It was then that Benjamin rembered Valkyrie had joined Thor when they returned before.
However, Valkyrie’s situation with Hela was still a bit…
Benjamin still hasn’t told her that Hela was also in Earth since he didn’t know how to diate between the two.
Just when Benjamin was giving up, he saw Fury and Howard the Duck sitting on the corner talking about sothing.
It seems that Howard was giving Fury…advice?
Benjamin thought about it for a few seconds then decided.
Let Howard the Duck beco the person…or rather, duck-in-charge of the intergalactic branch!
And just like that, the duck was sent back to space to go work.
As for girls…well, Benjamin didn’t actively look for any but at so point, Jessica had actually brought her best friend, Patsy Walker, with her during their ti together.
And well…they did ended up sleeping all together…giving him an additional 5 Harem points…
Benjamin also learned that Patsy joined the EPD with the nickna, Hellcat. Although she didn’t have any powers, she had good fighting skills and was quite acrobatic and flexible…which Benjamin confird personally.
The EPD provided her with a suit to compensate for the lack of power and durability so her life wasn’t in danger.
Another addition was Callisto who simply barged in when Benjamin was with Janice.
And finally, there’s Sinthea who was brought over by the Brehe sisters at so point…
Sinthea didn’t actually join the EPD but requested to join Hydra instead, as she was curious what kind of organization her supposed father was so crazy for.
Currently she was Callisto’s right-hand and the two were quite well-known in the underworld as the Two Crazies.
It seems to be because the two would retaliate with the full force of Hydra if you ss with them…
Benjamin didn’t mind it much as long as they only dealt with underworld forces.
Actually, Benjamin was surprised how there doesn’t seem to be an end to these forces from popping up.
You’d think that no one would dare to turn into a criminal nowadays with how the EPD was growing stronger and bigger.
Benjamin felt there was a reason for this so he simple asked the two to find it along with the Thieves Guild.
Speaking of the Thieves Guild, it seems that Silk had wanted to join it instead of the EPD so Benjamin simply told Felicia to bring her along.
The result was…she was actually quite gifted in the art of stealing!
Not just things but also information.
It wasn’t through hacking but through her webs instead.
She hasn’t perfected it yet but when she focuses, she could ‘hear’ voices through the vibrations of her webs.
Maybe because her webs were a part of her unlike the most Spider-totems, that she had developed this ability.
In any case, Felicia absolutely liked this ability and wanted to personally groom her.
She even reassured him.
“Don’t worry, she’ll be just like Odessa in no ti!”
Benjamin rembered Odessa’s state when he first saw her.
…She couldn’t be thinking of doing that again…right?
Well, nothing happened in the end so Benjamin didn’t mind it much.
Other things that gave Benjamin a headache this past few months was the governnt.
Benjamin had long since disregarded them, letting them be as long as they didn’t cross any moral lines.
Who knew that these guys would actually attempt to replicate the Hulk and turn a decorated General into the Red Hulk without him knowing about it until it happened…
It seems that these guys had beco complacent and were still attempting to do sothing.
Benjamin was no longer polite.
Dealing with the Red Hulk was easy.
As for the governnt…it was even easier.
With the help of Matt Murdock and Bruce Banner’s cousin, Jeniffer Walters, and also so information that Benjamin casually hacked from the governnt, they managed to imprison all the corrupt officials and by the ti of re-election, the next president beca Major Johnson who initially was Benjamin’s superior when he was a detective.
Anyway, there was a whole lot of politics that Benjamin didn’t want to deal with.
If it was upto him, he would just send them all into the Soul Prison for their audacity.
When that thought popped up in Benjamin’s mind, he was also shocked.
Has he already beco this sort of person?
It wasn’t that Benjamin felt disgusted by such thought. It simply felt weird as only around half a year ago, he was still a normal person who was having trouble looking for a job.
And now…has he grown so sort of God complex?
Granted, he is the God of nature but Benjamin only thought of it as a title or skill.
At that ti, the System even made a joke about it.

In any case, Benjamin hasn’t exactly rested well for the past few months.
Now, there were still about 2-3 months before Natasha gave birth.
Benjamin calculated the ti and figured he might as well deal with the matter of Heven now.
At the sa ti, Benjamin wanted to see for himself what the so-called Gods were up and close.
As for Thor? Benjamin didn’t feel like he would understand anything from the God of Hamr.
But he does need his help to go to Heven.
Deciding as such, Benjamin went to inform Natasha and the others.
Suddenly, Hela spoke up.
“Can I co with?”
“Huh? Really?”
Hela nodded and appeared a bit lost in thought.
“...I want to see this ‘elder sister’ that Odin so constantly praises.”
Benjamin looked over to Mors.
“‘Tis fine. You can go take her for a walk. Just return her to afterwards.”
“...Can you not speak like she’s a dog or sothing?”
“Were you not the one who started it before?”
Mors chuckled.
Benjamin thought for a mont and rembered that was indeed the case.
Then, Selene chid in.
“Can I also go?”
“Huh? What for?”
Benjamin asked since it was a bit sudden for Selene to want to go to Heven as well.
Selene pouted.
“Why not? Hela can go, why not !?”
“...”
“Also, I’m bored! I want to unleash my undead minions and destroy everything!”
Ever since getting the Hellfire Crown, Selene hasn’t been able to use it on…well, anything.
Instead, she suddenly beca a maid of Death and since then, been serving Death by her side.
Now that she heard Hela, another maid of Death, was going sowhere that sounded fun, how can she not go!?
Benjamin looked at her speechlessly then glanced at Mara who simply shrugged.
“Go take her for a walk too. Return her afterwards. Do you need her leash?”
