Chapter 649: Chapter 623: Assess the Situation

Another ten minutes passed dallying, yet Buck still hadn’t co out.

It’s ti now, and we’re at the place. Even if the Compaq Building is a den of dragons and tigers, we must make our way inside.

“I used to be a spy, but now I’ve beco cannon fodder. Even the rcenaries loafing around Africa know to scout before a battle.”

The one complaining was Dani, and only Dani would be fussing in such a mont.

But despite his complaints, Dani drew his gun, took the lead, and was the first to rush through the glass doors of the Compaq Building.

If there were ten or eight gunn lying in ambush inside, Dani would be dood.

But since you have to trust Yuri’s judgnt, you have to believe all the way.

Actually, Dani also felt there shouldn’t be any ambush in the Compaq Building now; tis have changed, mainly who would dare believe just a few people from the Garden would dare storm the Compaq Building?

The NSA has been badly injured, the CIA operates openly, the FBI can completely control movents, and the few people from the Garden are harmless. But the key is, whatever asures the Garden takes now are correct, except for Garden personally assaulting the Compaq Building,

Yet the Garden went and did precisely that.

Dani rushed inside, he didn’t see any guards, not even security staff. The ground floor of the Compaq Building is a reception hall with at least six people, but only one man wore a suit, while the remaining five were all won.

Dani paused for a mont, the man in the suit—the hall manager—was taken aback too.

In that instant, the hall manager’s reaction was that it was a robbery.

“We don’t have any cash here, are you sure you’re in the right place?”

The hall manager raised his hands and had the audacity to ask.

Just based on the hall manager’s question, you could tell he had nothing to do with the Red and Blue Group.

For an agent as trendously experienced as Dani, this was sothing he’d never encountered before.

Sith followed in as well, wielding only a handgun, he glanced around and then pointed his gun at the terrified won, saying, “Don’t move.”

Dani pointed his gun at the hall manager, quickly walked over, and said to the manager: “What company are you? How many people upstairs? Which floors are they on, speak!”

“We’re a law firm… there are lawyers upstairs, how many people? Sir, if you need sothing you can talk to , if you want money…”

Dani shook his head and looked at Gao Yi and Yuri who had followed inside.

The situation was quite complicated.

The headquarters of the Red and Blue Group poses as a law firm on the outside, it might not be entirely a guise, there might really be a legitimate law firm unaware of the situation, but the Red and Blue Group’s business is indeed conducted here.

Of course, the lawyers here could be part of the Red and Blue Group or even FBI people.

Yuri tilted his head and said, “Soone ca in just now, he went there.”

The hall manager paused and said, “Just now the person… he went to the third floor’s law firm for a consultation.”

Yuri scanned around and said, “There’s surveillance, the people inside know what’s happening. Do not take the elevator, fight your way up floor by floor.”

Being exposed is inevitable; don’t expect the enemy to be clueless, catching them off guard is possible, but absolutely don’t assu your enemy is stupid.

After saying, Yuri pointed at the hall manager and said, “You lead the way, through the fire stairs, everyone else squat down, don’t move! We have people outside, if you run they’ll shoot you dead, you, go lock the door!”

Brazenly rampant.

Gao Yi truly couldn’t understand Yuri’s train of thought. Just a few people breaking into the opponent’s headquarters, then not imdiately launching an attack, but first having soone lock the door.

Is this cutting off one’s escape first for no reason? Is it a flexible application of fighting back against hopeless odds?

A woman nervously went to close the quite old wooden fra glass doors, she looked at the hall manager and timidly said, “I don’t have the keys.”

The hall manager, feeling perplexed, dug out a remote key from his pocket, pressed it, and a shutter door inside slowly began to descend.

This building was constructed in the 19th century, quite historic; the doorway wasn’t large or wide, and the shutter door wasn’t particularly high-end and wasn’t aesthetically pleasing either.

But the door was indeed securely shut.

Yuri stepped forward, took the remote key from the hall manager, then said to Dani, “You two go up first, they two follow, I go last, let’s start searching floor by floor from the second floor, don’t miss anywhere.”

What should have been a surprising raid now turned into a floor-by-floor clearance.

If there had been fifty people from the Garden, this thod would barely seem normal, but with only five people in total putting on a sweeping stance, this isn’t sothing ordinary people can comprehend.

Dani held the handgun in his right hand, rubbed his nose with the back of his left hand, shook his head, and said, “Don’t know what you guys are thinking, but I’ve surely gone insane.”

Transferred the gun to his left hand, reached into his chest with his right to pull out his trusted weapon—his sawed-off double-barreled shotgun—then bit his lip and headed toward the corner of the lobby where the fire staircase was.

Sith also carried only a handgun, but always held it with his left hand, he and Dani- one to the left, one to the right-simultaneously entered the staircase.

This building is an old structure; while it has elevators, the central spot in the lobby is a broad staircase, with the elevator next to the stairs—there’s only one—and the fire staircase in the corner is a typical outdoor fire escape commonly seen in New York, from which going up avoids ambush from both sides.

But if anyone from the Red and Blue Group could stand firm, it becos a straightforward uphill clash.

Dani took two steps upward, being extrely cautious, and at this mont, faint footsteps could already be heard above, indicating that the people in the building had indeed realized their presence and begun to arrange personnel towards the fire stairs.

Dani held the handgun in his left hand, rested the shotgun’s barrel on his left arm, looked up at the narrow staircase, and carefully tried to hush his steps. After progressing so steps, soone suddenly poked their head out for a glance below.

Just craning for a rapid glimpse to check the situation below, Dani, focused entirely to seize this mont’s opportunity, fired his shotgun instantly upon spotting the person’s head poking through.

Choosing the shotgun for leading is due to its high error tolerance and better ability to seize the brief mont of enemy confrontation.

With this shot, at least three of the nine pellets hit the person peering, no sound of groans, and a heavy body hit the floor above, followed by a scream.

No sound implies the enemy is also composed and unperturbed; if they scream, then they’re not competent.

Hearing the scream, Dani seed invigorated suddenly, his cautious advance shifted into a relentless rush forward, as if transforming into another person.

Dani’s hefty body suddenly beca swift, sprinting swiftly up the fire stairs while oddly enough remaining silent.

Sith promptly followed.

That’s reading the situation; if the enemy’s formidable, steady advance is prudent, if they seem amateurish, then be fierce, be fast.
