The kid climbed in and shortly after, the car pulled away. Noah started his engine, his G-Class roaring to life as he followed at a safe distance.

The Uber led him through various streets for about fifteen minutes before stopping in front of a small house.

It looked plain, blending seamlessly with the others around it, it was an ordinary suburban bungalow with nothing remarkable to set it apart.

"So, this is where she lives," Noah muttered, parking on a nearby street out of sight.

He didn't linger in the area, he went and parked a few blocks away then returned to the area by walking.

His movents were casual and unassuming.

As he approached, he scanned the numbers on the properties.

"House 50A," he murmured, pausing in front of the bungalow.

His eyes swept over the house. It wasn't large—only one floor. The curtains on one side of the house were drawn, blocking any view inside, while the other windows emitted faint light.

Standing next to one of the closed windows, Noah tried to listen, pressing his ear against the glass. The faint hum of muffled voices teased his ears, but the sound was too indistinct to make out.

'I need a better angle,'

he thought, his mind racing through options.

Noah circled the house quietly until he found a kitchen window partially hidden from view of the main street.

Unlike the other windows, this one was dark, offering him the perfect opportunity to enter without being noticed by passersby.

He crouched and using his strength and skill, he managed to open the lock without a sound.

The latch clicked faintly, and he opened the window just wide enough to slip through.

The kitchen was dark and quiet, the scent of unwashed dishes entered his nostrils.

'This is the safest point of entry,'

he reasoned.

The front-facing windows were too exposed, and barging into a lit room risked him being caught if there was sothing there.

With careful movents, he eased himself inside, landing silently on the tiled floor.

His eyes adjusted quickly to the dim light as he scanned his surroundings.

Noah walked around silently as his eyes checked everything around him.

"I will check the rest of the house first." He muttered silently.

Each room he passed was empty, devoid of life save for the occasional discarded item of clothing or random knickknacks. It didn't take long to confirm his suspicion.

'She lives alone,'

he thought.

His brows furrowed slightly. Discover more stories at empire

Odd for soone connected to gang activity. But maybe she's more cautious than other girls in the sa field or maybe... this isn't her house.'

With the rest of the house clear, he turned his attention to the room where the light was coming from—the one where the boy and the girl were talking.

He approached the door silently, his footsteps lighter than a whisper, and pressed himself against the wall near the bedroom as he listened.

The voice ca in clear and loud.

The girl tilted her head slightly, her tone turning coquettish. ""So, baby, when are your parents coming back from their holiday?" she teased, her voice softening into a cuter, almost childlike tone. "You still haven't taken to your house, you know. This is our only chance, for you to show it."

The boy chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his neck. "They should be back next week. But…" He hesitated, his words trailing off as he avoided her gaze.

"But what?" she asked, her tone dipping into a feigned pout. "You don't want to see your house? Is that it?"

"No, no, it's not that!" he said quickly, waving his hands defensively. "It's just… the neighbours. They're so nosy. If they see bringing a girl over, they'll tell my dad. And, uh… well, let's just say they're pretty orthodox. They'd kill if they found out."

She leaned closer, her expression softening into a mix of understanding and mischief. "Oh, baby, we can go at night then. No one will see us," she whispered, her voice carrying a playful lilt.

The boy blinked, caught off guard by her suggestion. "At night? I-I don't know about that…"

"Why not?" she asked, her tone shifting slightly, a hint of impatience creeping in. "Why can't we go now?"

He hesitated, fumbling for an excuse. "Because… I want to spend ti with you here," he said finally.

Then, as if searching for a distraction, he added, "Plus, uh… do you have more of those pills? The ecstasy ones?"

Her lips curved into a sly smile, and she crossed her arms with an exaggerated huff.

"Yes, I do. But…" She trailed off, turning her head away dramatically. "I'll only give them to you if you take to your house."

"Co on," the boy groaned, his shoulders slumping. "Why do you have to do this?"

She tilted her head, her voice softening into a teasing coo. "Because I want to see my future hubby's house. Is that so wrong?"

"Future hubby?" he repeated, his face flushing slightly.

"Yes," she said with a giggle, leaning closer to him. "And you know what? I've been so patient with you. We've been together for a week, and you still haven't…" She paused, letting the implication linger.

"Haven't what?" he asked, his voice faintly trembling.

"Kissed ," she whispered, her voice dropping just enough to send shivers down his spine. "Is it so wrong for to want a little kiss? Just one?"

The boy swallowed hard, his face turning a deeper shade of red. "I—uh…"

She leaned back slightly, her arms crossing as she pouted again. "Tell you what. Take to your house, and I'll let you kiss ."

He stared at her, clearly torn between the reward and his earlier reluctance. "I… I don't know…"

"You don't love , do you?" she asked, her tone taking on a mock-wounded quality. "If you did, you'd want to show where you live. You'd want to et your parents one day."

"No, that's not it!" he stamred, his voice rising in desperation. "I just—fine, okay! I'll take you."
