UK:GSW Chapter 407 – Black Zetsu Captured, Nagato's Life Flickers Like a Candle in the Wind

Against Black Zetsu, the Main World had made extensive preparations, carrying out thorough research long before this mission began.

During that ti, they repeatedly used the special properties of the "Great Illusion World" to run simulations and risk assessnts. As a result, when the ti ca, equipnt specifically designed to counter Black Zetsu was ready.

It could be said that for Black Zetsu—Boruto's most troubleso and evasive enemy—Uchiha Kei had prepared in full, showing him even more "respect" than Uchiha Madara had received. From beginning to end, Kei had calculated every step against him.

Now, it was ti to put the results into action.

Senju Tobirama and Minato Namikaze—two masters of the Flying Raijin—appeared together, clad in Yin–Yang Release gear designed for capturing Black Zetsu. In a flash, they teleported to Nagato's side and launched an attack on Black Zetsu clinging to him.

From a distance, Uchiha Kei's Great Intestinal Taste Bud Technique had already been unleashed. Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Sasuke were ready to provide support, and Uzumaki Mito's most powerful sealing technique was fully charged. At that point, Black Zetsu's fate was already sealed.

When Black Zetsu felt the overwhelming feedback from the Great Intestinal Taste Bud Technique, and when his eyes widened in shock at the sight of Minato and Tobirama, it was already too late to run.

Under the technique's effects, Black Zetsu's movents were greatly hindered—fatal for him, as it ant the lightning-fast surprise strike from the old and new masters of speed left him no chance to react.

Black Zetsu was caught. Wearing the Yin–Yang Release gear—special gloves and a backpack unit—Tobirama and Minato restrained him in an instant and began refining him on the spot.

During the process, Black Zetsu howled and thrashed, his struggle pulling on Nagato's body. Already gravely injured, Nagato's condition worsened as Black Zetsu siphoned away his life force.

As the controller of the White Zetsu, Black Zetsu had overwhelming authority over them. Even the most loyal White Zetsu could not resist his commands. Only the White Zetsu from the Main World were immune to his control due to the difference in worlds.

The body implanted in Nagato, however, ca from one of the Zetsu under Black Zetsu's control. This was why he could so easily seize Nagato's body while he was weakened—just as in the original tiline, he could effortlessly take control of Obito, force him to use the Rinne Rebirth Jutsu to revive Uchiha Madara, and then deliver him to Madara.

Once you used a White Zetsu body, you were in Black Zetsu's grasp.

At that mont, the others joined in.

Senju Hashirama and Uzumaki Mito attacked together to aid in the capture, while Uchiha Kei maintained his Great Intestinal Taste Bud Technique to keep Black Zetsu locked down. Finally, they succeeded in tearing Black Zetsu off of Nagato's body.

The next instant, Orochimaru arrived.

The bespectacled scientist produced a special black container—its texture betraying that it was crafted with Yin–Yang Release. With the others restraining Black Zetsu, Orochimaru pressed the container against him.

In a flash, the completely restrained Black Zetsu was sucked inside, unable to resist.

Orochimaru imdiately sealed the container. Black Zetsu's shrill scream was abruptly cut off, marking his complete capture.

At that, Orochimaru smiled, pushed up his glasses, and said, "Gentlen, Black Zetsu has been captured."

The tone was almost like, "I've caught a Pokémon."

The Konoha forces from the Main World all smiled. Their long-laid plans had not failed—they had truly succeeded.

The scourge known as Black Zetsu was finally in their grasp.

Among them, the happiest was not the others, but Senju Hashirama.

Capturing Black Zetsu ant they could interrogate him about his sches. Once the truth was revealed, Hashirama could bring it to his best friend Uchiha Madara, and keep him from charging further down the wrong path.

That was what made Hashirama the happiest.

With that, the battle against Nagato ca to an end.

Although Black Zetsu had left Nagato's body, in struggling he had drained most of the life force from Nagato's White Zetsu half. As a result, Nagato—already gravely wounded—was now a dying man, just like Uchiha Madara after Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's sealing: alive, but a candle flickering in the wind.

Nagato now lay collapsed on the ground, his Rinnegan dim and lifeless, staring blankly at the sky—his soul gone.

The Jinchuriki he had controlled lost all power. All those transford into Tailed Beasts reverted to their human forms, collapsing lifelessly into true corpses.

Under the control of the elderly Jiraiya, Konan cried out in grief. Weak as she was, she wanted to go to Nagato, but Jiraiya's binding prevented her from moving.

With a sigh and sorrow in his eyes, the elderly Jiraiya released her.

Feeling the restraint lift, Konan looked at him with a complicated but grateful gaze before heading toward Nagato.

No one stopped her.

Konan posed no threat—anyone here could subdue her with ease. With the mission's objectives perfectly achieved, minor details no longer mattered.

Konan reached Nagato and knelt by his side.

Seeing his frail form, her face was full of pain and grief. She wanted to lift him, but his broken, fragile body warned her that even a touch could be fatal.

Her tears flowed uncontrollably, marring her beautiful features.

Nagato slowly turned his dim Rinnegan toward her, moving his lips in a hoarse, faint voice: "I'm sorry… Konan… I… failed…"

Konan shook her head through falling tears, unable to speak—too overco with grief to know what to say.

The situation was entirely different from the "original." In that story, Nagato had co to terms with himself, been persuaded by Naruto's talk-no-jutsu, and chosen to die by reviving Konoha, breaking the cycle of hatred.

There, Konan's grief had been tempered by silent support.

But here, it was different. Nagato's death was entirely due to Black Zetsu's sches. There was no persuasion, no change of heart, no redemption—only the cruelest and ugliest of ends.

How could Konan accept such an outco?

The others looked on with varied expressions—so saddened, so pained, so sighing.

Of course, so didn't care at all, even thinking he deserved it—like Senju Tobirama, who saw Nagato simply as an enemy of the Leaf.

So considered saving him. At the pleading look from the elderly Jiraiya, Orochimaru stepped forward to examine Nagato, preparing to treat him.

But after the examination, Orochimaru frowned, shook his head, and revealed that Nagato's life force was almost gone—sustained only by the Uzumaki clan's natural vitality.

Senju Hashirama and Uzumaki Mito both checked and attempted to help, but also failed.

Nagato's state was beyond saving. Even two Tsunades couldn't help him—unless the Sage of Six Paths himself revived him, his fate was sealed.

Hearing this, Konan's hope collapsed completely. Her face went deathly pale. The others sighed helplessly at the outco.

Then, Uchiha Kei—who had been silent until now—spoke: "Looks like none of you can do it. In that case, let give it a try."

Everyone looked at him in surprise. They had never known Uchiha Kei to excel at dical ninjutsu. While he had a reputation for doing the impossible, saving lives was not his specialty.

In truth, Kei's dical ninjutsu was only basic at best.

But sotis, keeping soone alive didn't require dical ninjutsu.

Now, Uchiha Kei activated his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and used his Mangekyo ability on Nagato.

And then—a miracle appeared.
